G’day mate great video just wounding what time of year this footage was taken & rough outside temperature ? Cheers

Gday Stephen, its a bit of a mix, the footage at the start was during the day, maybe 12 to 14c and the fox was at night maybe 7. As the temperature drops it becomes a little more washed out due to the smaller differences in ambient temperature between objects

I'm just about to buy this or a similar thermal. Thanks for the information. Is this the standard model with 384 resolution or 640?

Hi Kent, this is the 384, the 640’s are the Pro series and are even better again

Gday mate, I reckon it would be awesome, they are a lot larger thermal mass than rabbits and foxes and if you can see them then it would be easier for you to position yourself already knowing where they are

Hey mate good review, I'm currently looking at this model, keen on your opinion before I buy, you seem happy with unit but on the other side, feral animal control done a review on same unit with the opposite thoughts, is he right in saying he might have got a lemon or could it be not set up properly, after watching both videos, I'm doubtful now

Gday mate, if it’s the review I saw then they did a review on the HD50 not the XD50, 2 totally different units. Still happy with mine! If you can, get your hands on one before you buy it so you can have a look through an actual unit, just make sure it’s the XD50!

Ha, yeah find a local shop that has them in stock and have a look, outside if you can, in the shop doesn’t do thermal justice
