After a good experience testing the TTArtisan 21mm wanted to checkout the 35mm f1.4 as well. Leica-M mounted lenses are usually kinda pricy but lately a lot of affordable options have hit the market. And they actually have more to offer than simply a lower price.

Regardless of how unlikely I am to purchase many of the items you "review", I truly enjoy the real world approach and find your videos inspiring. I am one of those indecisive photographers who cannot decide if he wants to shoot with zooms or primes, a situation which may never change. Stay safe.

Always entertaining, always informative. Thank you for the effort and the sharing. I truly wish my manual focus skills were quicker. For me to attempt to nail focus on the image of the bird with its beak open, would be near impossible. I know practice is the key but I wish my cameras had better manual focus screens. Stay well. Thumbs up.

To the people wanting to complain about the sponsor message in the beginning of the video :) 1. My lens reviews are always short. It even says so in the title. 2. Im not gonna make up mindless and pointless b-roll and bla bla bla just because the ad is long. If you want to see videos that no matter how thin they are, always reaches +10 minutes.. then this isn’t the channel for you. Believe me, there are plenty of channels that does that :) 3. I don’t decide how long adds are and you can skip ahead. 4. I have no interest hearing you cry about it in the comment section. Specially in times like these, get some perspective and move along please :) 5. Its free membership with unlimited classes for two months.. seems like something a lot of people could use when stuck at home. PS. Better put in another :) to make sure they understand Im not upset but find this quite funny :)

Thanks Mattias. Great short video -- nice to see TTArtisans putting in a proper focusing tab. The rubber one on the 7artisans (at least on my 28mm F1.4) is just big and honestly clunky/cheap feeling to me. Also nice to know that the hood, which does look so cool, seems to be more form over function. I am curious about the 50mm F0.95 (though I don't believe it's out?) whenever it comes out. Might make for a nice quick video like this one when it does, even if it's just confirming the usual punchline we're coming to expect from TTArtisans and 7artisans (very nice for the price, and more than good enough for most of us).

Hej Mattias!

You should make a video showing exactly how to calibrate the lens for your camera... Also, I love your videos! I've been trying to force myself to get an interchangeable lens camera, but I don't like carrying the gear and I love compact cameras. Hearing you say buy what you think is the coolest because you'll use it was what I needed. I have an X70 and my wife just bought me an X30 and the ZS100 (for the occasional zoom pic). I've used my daughter's DSLR for a photo class but I can't help but love large sensor compacts. Maybe someday I'll get a used Canon SL series DSLR for the small size and Canon colors, but for now I just love using the smaller cameras. Thanks for all your videos!

My focus adjustment video was something completely different. Its much easier on something like the TTartisan. No sorry, no videos on that. If you have a Sony or Fuji there are free versions of Capture One.

If you’re interested in small size and canon colors with some interchangeable lenses I’d suggest looking at Canons M series whenever you might want to get into that type of camera. They’re super tiny with some pretty good affordable lenses from Canon and other 3rd parties. Heck I think the original Canon M can be found for around $150.

Do you have any comment to say about this lens, comparing it to the Voigtlander 35mm 1.4 Nokton ?

A nice looking lens but for me $400 is not a cheap lens, it equates to around £325. I bought myself a Pentax DA 35mm f2.4 for £79, it is in mint condition and produces some pin sharp photos using my Pentax KP. Don't get me wrong i love all your posts and enjoy looking at what I can't afford but sometimes your idea of budget is way above what I would call budget 😉
