Well to be fair, Kaoru’s début was in act 44(first full episode being act 45) with the series ending in act 49 so she had just as much time Lauren to be a character. The difference is that Shinkengers was able to more competently explore her character with what little time they had while Samurai didn’t. In fact, they even gave her moments where she would speak freely to others which helped build her character while Lauren was just, there. Even when they could have had Lauren talk about certain things they just didn’t.

I agree that making the Red Rangers white was fucked up, HOWEVER, only because they SPECIFICALLY sought out white people for the role in this season (something they no longer do due to the backlash) - however, your logic about white people having the Shiba surname is ridiculous. If a white person marries someone who is not white and has a surname such as Shiba, Chan, Ramirez, etc. and they take their spouses name, then they have kids, those kids will grow up with that surname, even if those kids end up with the appearance of not being white. So for instance, if a white person today married someone with the last name Nguyen (the most common Asian last name in the US), and took their last name, and then had kids. Those kids appeared white, and had the last name Nguyen. Now those kids married a white person and they still kept the name Nguyen, and passed that name onto the kid. The name just keeps passing on and the offspring just keeps getting more and more, well, white. It's ENTIRELY possible to have a very very very white person with a very very not white last name. So asking why a white person has a surname that isn't "White sounding" is kinda stupid, to be blunt. For all we know, Jayden and Lauren, the characters, ARE Japanese descendants. It happens VERY often. Hell, it doesn't even have to be very far back (we don't even see their mom or their grandparents) I'm literally HALF Native American and most Native Americans tell me I'm lying because my mom's German side completely hides that half of me.

Well one is the cultural fact that presenting yourself to your enemy is actually a Japanese tradition dating back in feudal times which is emulated in most of it media with Shinkengers cranking it to 11 because it’s the most Japanese thing you can get. The other reason however is that it likely serves to help get civilians out of the way as the banner helps push the Shinkengers into the forefront while the Kuroko(people wearing black) can help civilians to safety which was actually touched upon in an episode.

Ehh... I am not sure I would consider SPD a "copypaste" of Dekaranger. They LOOK similar but are very different.

I share those sentimenta. The primary problem is that jaydens "lie" is a lie in it of itself. Because the thing is that firstborn sons were usually the heir so he was the actual head of the shiba clan, secondly his personal motivation to foght juzo or decker in this case is completely butchered as well.

Adam Harits Japanese started super sentai in 1969 I think it was... and brought it to America in the early 90’s... so most of the footage you see is Japanese
