I used to be a vegan, never again, all of those veggie meats and cheeses are heavily processed. Real cheese is not, more natural and better for you. I weighed more when I was a vegan, you can eat lean meats like seafood and poultry. I needed to change my diet because I have joint issues and I lost weight in the process. Natural and not processed foods is what helps for a healthy diet, lean meats
Am I the only one who appreciates how far vegan food has come, it really helps me since I was raised in a family that eats alot of meat and as Tabitha says they can eat it cuz that's their business but becoming vegan has really helped my overall health and I seem to have so much more energy. I've also noticed that becoming vegan makes me notice everything like how much sugar is in my food what types of bread I choose to eat being vegan is so much more than not eating meat it's a full life style

@@danajohnson3675 There are plenty of people all over the internet who have loads of alternative dishes for vegans so just look them up as you like. Maybe start by going to vegan restaurants or ordering vegan menu items at fast food places and try them out see how you like it. Then maybe try making your own dishes from vegan substitutes or dishes that never had meat or animal products to begin with just simple things. Basically just see what you like and go from there
@@danajohnson3675 Aldis has good veggies burgers but honestly if you just incorporate more vegetables and fruit and cut out meat and dairy, meijer has good dairy alternatives like yogurt made with Almond or cashew milk

Though I love making vegetarian and vegan food, I am not yet at the point where I can eat a mouthful of cooked vegan cheese without anything else accompanying it but bread(unless I have moderate to severe munchies). The texture of cooked vegan cheese in abundance is literally that of warm biscuit dough. I can only do a little at a time unless it’s uncooked/cold.
I have been watching a lot of videos of vegan food. But let me tell you what i think. I can't have a cheese alternative. What is the point of thise fake cheese. What nutrition value am i getting from it. And what is done to it to when simulate cheese that is actually healthy for the body. If it's not natural produced by earth and it animals why am I putting it iny body? How is doughy cheese any better for my health.? Tell me that. I feel like vegetarian in it simplest form is best. Veggies. Fruit. Nuts, beans. And if you really want to rice. All that is naturally grown. And animal products like butter milk and cheese if you not lactose entolerance is still digestible. All in moderation. Like everything
@@ruruvarela while many people eat too much meat and other animal products, you don't need to be vegan to be healthy. Veganism is not so much about health as it is about being good for the environment. Meat production needs a LOT of land (80% of our fields for example) and produces a lot of side products that lead to global warming. And milk production is pretty much the same. Many vegans are healthier as they are already watching what they eat so it's just a bonus, but meats and other animal products are of course healthy in moderation.
@@ruruvarela In my country there are little to none vegan cheeses, even in big cities. It's usually from other countries and costs a lot. I think it's better for an environment to eat normal cheese from local farm

I’m not sure who needs to hear this but keep your head up fam. Things will get better for you and your family. I used to have 5 brain tumors but now I only have 2 left to go. In the past I lost my hearing, had thoughts of suicide at one point, and I even have seizures sometimes but everything I went through wasn’t strong enough to kill me and if you’re reading this that means that you’re still here for a reason. It’s not about what we go through but it’s about how we get through it. Peace and love
I can't go vegan. Because I enjoy meat. Life is meaningless for me rn. And delicious meat is one of the very few things that bring me unbridled joy. But this looks absolutely amazing and if your carrot bacon recipe is anything to base your recipes on imma have to try this.
You know what dude? That's okay. If meat makes ya happy, keep eating it. Everyone's always on about improving the planet, but first you gotta save yourself y'know? And, if being sustainable or environmentally friendly is something you're looking to do, there are so many other little ways to do it that don't involve losing meat. You don't have to sacrifice yourself for others, keep on being you and i hope things get better 👍
Hahaha lucky for you, scientists are making plant based meat. They’re called “Impossible” meat or something. The vegans are planning to take over the world. They’re making everything vegan to make people vegan. Soon, we’ll all be vegan

I am late to the party-but I collect food from the local food banks. And to my great surprise!! Boxes of Miss T’s No Salt seasoning were given out. I grab a whole box! I love the product so much. Of course I add my own salt that just makes her mix pop! Oh well -I am a cheater who love her seasoning!!! On my food with meat!!! 😅😅😅😅😅

Are you really surprised? People are so dumb these days they literally need emphasis on almost everything regarding the internet, common sense doesn’t exist on the internet lol
It’s mostly because vegans are well known cheaters of their diets because the vegan products just can’t replace the animal products in flavor, texture or nutrients. So they have to over compensate to prove they never would cheat despite wanting to emulate the foods they supposedly are against.
People that know I’m vegan for almost a decade ask me “vegan or just normal?” almost every time I just say the name of the ingredients without “vegan” before.
I use that cheese but not too often it has a high saturated fat because of the coconut oil. I spread a thin layer of mayo mixed with garlic and chives on on slice and sear it with butter... mmmmmph
it probably takes more effort to make, or can't be produced in as much bulk, that makes it more expensive. but yea the price of eating "healthy" is kinda ridiculous
i thought it would be too strong. I consider provolone a strong flavored cheese, unless you're talking about some different, less intense, probably less authentic variety
@@SuperMiIk are we talking about real provolone? same thing as real blocks of cheddar versus supermarket-style cheddar which is much lighter in color, much much much lighter in flavor, not strong at all. But cheddar is technically a strong cheese too, just not really too much. I'm no cheese sommalier 😂 who am I kidding
😅 I had to go on the web to check. This is what I found: "In addition to having an intense and spicy flavor, provolone cheese is so sharp and strong that it can be difficult for those not accustomed to handling these types of cheeses." I recommend those of you that don't know it to go to a deli, go somewhere that might sell it authentic and buy a little block. Crack open a craft beer or some wine and pop out the provolone and olives and chop the cheese into small cubes and voilà
To be honest, as someone who tries to be fully plant based, vegan options rarely taste idéntical or just as good as non vegan options. Only mayonnaise and some types pf chocolate are as good as the original. It’s why I’m not fully vegan

I found that if you add shredded cheese to one side and sliced on the other and cover so the shedded melts good and then put it together and flip and stuff it makes the cheese stringier if you want that classic pull apart lol
