Quinta Studios 3D Decal Detail Aircraft Interior Set Review, & Color PE Comparison - 1/48 F-16 

What a AMAZING & INSPIRING & GREAT & HELPFUL tutorial, THX YOU! building the cockpit or interior is my favorite. Especially when adding photo etch from Eduard, instrument panels from Fire Fox and building stuff from scratch....

Outrageously detailed, outrageously small. I would need a kid with good eyes to appreciate the quality. I think I like the new ones.

SUPERIOR Post!!! Thank you for showing different options in placing these "decals", ( I too have a set for a 1/72 Tomcat ) and espiecially for the comparison to 'Eduards' PE ( which I Also have, but different A/C in 1/72 ). Shoot, with all of the -14s I Could do a Major comparison of painting the details, placing 'Eduards', and using 'Quinta' sets to show what people want. And you did mention the drawbacks..... the white carrier film still show, the lack of Various A/C models .... 'Quinta' & 'Eduards' probably have that problem, and that they come from a "foreign nation" BUT, we are talking decals ...... NOT politics!! They do look Super!! ALSO, Great camera work!!!

Very nice review...and i agree...quinta caught up...eduard are a pioneer and do very nice additions... i am ordering a quinta cockpit but it would be nice to have a very important instrument (which eduard has) the hud... the hud for me is a key point in the cockpit.

They look the business mate.... Takes me hours to paint similar 👍

The 3D stuff is awesome and that might change my way of doing models. I really never messed with the insides because no one ever looked at them so I darken the windows and done.

Awesome review; thanks SO MUCH for doing this one. I was on the fence about pulling the trigger on getting these but your review makes it a no-brainer. What are your thoughts/recommendations regarding putting down a gloss base coat or staying with the flat? Same for trimming the carrier film to the edge of the painted decal?

I think glossing is important if you want to weather your cockpit, you know adding pin washes and other washes then wiping it the way you want, then putting a matt cover over it then adding these decals. Saw a video from Red Fox Studios Ammo paints. So i think putting clear on is a personal pref.

Nice review. One tip: where your camera is pointing use that area only when doing any modeling. Your cutting and water treatment was off camera. Oh and your focal point is your working surface. Try not to bring it closer to the camera.

How resilient to washes/weathering are they? I have a set for a Mig-29 I'm about to start and agree how gorgeous they are

For Quinta Studio, make the rivet pattern for the entire Academy 1:48 scale CH-53E Super Stallion body, NOT THE INTERIOR.
