I’m half Chinese and half white and if any of my family had ever said anything like that about either of my parents or me and my brothers, we wouldn’t be talking to those “family members” anymore. I’m in fact what you would call flaming Merida red/ginger and when I was 8 I went to my aunt (Emma)’s wedding she told me that i would where a pastel green bridesmaid dress because she said “it matched my hair and looked incredible! So about that barrista: She has a customer that speaks in a foreign language that she coincidentally speaks as well. So she replies and proceeds to interact with the guy in most likely mother language. The way I see it she did more than just her job and gave it her all to provide excellent service :)

The Starbucks story: She was perfectly pleasant and spoke to the guest in a language that they seemed more comfortable in. That sounds like grade A customer service to me. EDIT: I totally forgot that I had a similar story happen when I was working at my university. It had a planetarium attached so I was the guy who ran the shows and everything. One day, my box office person didn't come in, so I had to cover ticket sales as well. While I was there, I had 2 hispanic ladies come up and ask for tickets. I had to clarify what type of ticket (Student, Senior, Kid, etc.), so I asked with my normal customer service voice "Two adult tickets?" Now, I don't speak Spanish. All I know is the Spanish that I learned in high school, and even then it's a bit fuzzy. I cant SPEAK it. I can understand the basic gist of most everything that is said. One of the ladies turned to the other and said (basically): "No shit, you fat dumbass," then just a polite "yes, two adults" in English. I ran the shows as well, so I closed box office up to get ready to start the show. While the computers were booting and I was getting things ready, I was searching google translate on my phone to make sure what I was saying was correct (or, at least if it wasn't, it would be funny regardless). I opened the doors and announced that the show was starting soon. The two ladies were off looking at a couple of the space posters on the wall. I waited for all the other guests to go into the dome, then stepped over to the ladies and said "Ma'am (I couldn't figure out how to properly say that in spanish and didn't wanna call her an elephant or something), la presentación comenzará en 5 minutos" Both of their eyes went wide and they looked at me in horror. I either got it right and they realized that I understood what they said, or I called them a goat. Either way, that look was so funny. tl;dr: Ladies called me fat and stupid in Spanish, I subtly let them know I knew what they said.

I know for a fact that the “temporary” hair dye does NOT wash out in the time it says. I dyed my hair back in November (in is now February 2020) and it is still colored. Granted it has faded quite a bit but it never fully washed out. I don’t mind it but can understand people who wouldn’t be happy with that.

Inheritance story - drop him. how can a someone be like that. I get maybe asking for help if you are really struggling (though I'd expect repayment or something later) and even being jealous of situation to an extent, but in no way is it ok to pressure someone into a joint account with THEIR money when you are dating. I'm surprised it didn't end with her dropping him.

at my wedding one of my guests had BRIGHT pink hair and she was in all my photos. never once asked her to change it before hand as it looked amazing on her =)

No one should have to put up with verbal abuse and harassment from customers.....doesnt matter what area of a store or business you are in. Rude customers should absolutely be called out and kicked out! In my 15yrs of retail slavery ive been insulted, threatened with physical violence, called names, been followed home ( i now own a gun because of that), had things thrown at me. Had associates and managers threaten me, scream at me, hit me, sexual assault, ect. And I took all that abuse without knowing its ok to fight back. It IS ok to fight back! OP in the last story needs to setup a trust for her money. She should also setup a couple of IRA accounts for her also. Then she must make sure that whoever she marry must sign a prenuptial agreement stating that her inheritance is not part of the marriage equity, so if she ever gets a divorce, he cannot go after a share of that money. I was engaged when I got a massive settlement from a company who's drunk driver nearly killed me and left me permanently disabled. Once I received the settlement, my fiance left me, and sued me for a 25% share of my settlement. It would have been about 1.5 million. She sued me for p alimony claiming that she deserved it since she stayed engaged after I got injured. From the day I got injured, she never visited me in the hospital (42 days in a coma, and almost 4 years in a rehab center.) She claimed she maintained my house and property, which she didn't. What she did was to move her boyfriend in two weeks after the accident, and then lived in my house for free and used my vehicles for free. My parents took care of my twin boys. I sent her legal notices to vacate my property, and she did after being dragged out by the Sheriffs office, and she could only take her clothes since I had paid for everything else. Her and her bc lived there free of charge for over 3 years, but she sued saying that I had purchased the house for her, so she deserved to keep it along with her getting a quarter of my money. The judge chewed her up one side, then down the other, and ordered her to vacate my property. He threw out her lawsuits with prejudice. I then renovated the house and sold it, and moved back to my parents since their family home has 7 bedrooms, and three full baths. It took me another 10 years to recover, learning to walk, talk, dress and feed myself again. My ex lives in an dilapidated trailer and is on welfare, while her bc went to prison before they could marry. She got stuck with his 4 kids, each with a different mother, and all abandoned their child leaving her to raise them while he serves a 50 year sentence for multiple convictions of grand theft. So OP needs to protect herself.
