Fun fact: I actually looked up that CNN article about math being racist, and it turns out that it was just about how legal and economic systems utilize higher prices/loan payments and longer prison sentences to reinforce racial stereotypes and social barriers (eg. If your mother and best friend committed crimes, you'll get a longer prison sentence if you get convicted). Yeah, so turns out that the title's just really clickbaity.
Yeah fuckin suburbs actually reinforce racial segregation. The origin of em was to make white neighborhoods in the incredibly racist years of the 20th century, and to shove the minority groups into poor areas we now call the slums. I fucking hate suburbs. They dont even support themselves. Their stupid fucking green lawns take up like 70% of all water used in america, and only 5% of that is used actual fucking people for baths n shit. Its fucking grass. This stupid european grass that some fucker from france was like ahaha lets put grass that cant grow in america there!
Racism: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. Mathematics: the abstract science of number, quantity, and space. I would love to see how an abstract science can antagonize someone based on their race.
15:03 "Do you care about homo sapien extinction?" "if they're going extinct it's very sad, but at the end of the day, I don't care" "humans. we meant humans" "did I stutter?"
“Even Batman listen to his mom” who is dead “Even Spider-Man has a bed time” which he constantly breaks What’s next? Even Deadpool can die? Even Dr.Strange can’t time travel? Even superheroes don’t come back to life?
1:42 Also, a double facepalm here for me as an Irishmen, In the 70s Belfast was literally one of the major battlegrounds during the troubles. There was no peace there during that time,
Oh come on, you don’t imagine anyone making this shit does any research or knows anything about anything do you? You’d be lucky if they realise Belfast is in Northern Ireland and not Great Britain.
15:56 Thats actually a common technique in Fire-Rescue. Instead of having to pop open two doors to gain access to patients in a car crash, pop the rear door, cut the B pillar, and open everything up. Also works great if a patient in the front seat has a back injury, you can keep their spine straight instead of twisting them out of a narrow doorway.
@@kiiturii Not really, especially of you sawzall the b pillar, which sawzalling through an airbag cylinder is way more controlled than using hydraulic cutters through it. Don't forget the added benefit of being able to remove the driver without twisting them around.
The thing about Belfast being like the 1970s being a facepalm is because there was a lot of IRA, UDF, and UVF activity is Belfast at the time, it got to the point where the British government brought in the army.
And then the British army made it worse. Which just further divided the people and caused the troubles to get worse. I really don't know why she posted that with no prior knowledge of belfast
How April fools day would go if it was on Friday the 13th. Person1: “Hahaha, I pranked you” Person2: “you’ve stabbed me in my stomach.” Person: “and? Don’t take it seriously, bro.”
Yes because BELFAST in the 70’s was soo peaceful. You know with the bombings the fighting yes how peaceful. On the easy mode games issue some people seem to have easy mode is great for both people with disabilities and those who want to have fun without panicking about difficulties like you may only have 30mins a day to play and easy mode may make that 30mins more fun and less stressful.
It still kind of is to this day, the troubles have divide this country so much that saying something nice about Catholics in protestant areas can get you attacked it's insane
"It was amazing to go to Belfast, which does not yet have 5G, and feel the earth sky air, human experience, feel the way it did in the 1970s. Calm, still, peaceful. restful, natural." In the real world of Belfast in the 1970: *explosions and gunfire in the distance* "Ahh yes, love this tranquil environment"
1:55 The facepalm here is that belfast was not at all peaceful during the 1970s. It was a time period called the Troubles where the IRA were operating at an all time high (for a good reason).
4:28 I heard a recording of someone calling into a radio talkshow complaining about the placement of the dear crossing signs, because she wanted the city to move them because "having the dear cross there is inconvenient and is causing accidents". Amazingly, no one on the show pointed out her mistake.
4:20. There was a woman who actually kept asking this question and everyone told her the exact same thing "The signs aren't for the deer, they're for you" but she didn't listen and went all the way to the government with it.
Gonk Droid when talking BC the larger the number the further back in time it is eg 5000bc is older than 4999bc. The meme is the “people before thing was invented didn’t have thing” one. So this is saying something was made in 5000bc so people before 5000bc would be people in 5001bc or higher not 4999bc or lower. It’d be like saying Issac Newton: Discovers Gravity in 1687 People in 1688: *Floats Ominously* It doesn’t make sense......well less than a silly ass meme does anyways. You can’t say people before a time didn’t have something but use a time after that thing was discovered. It don’t make none no sense.
14:02 hey there Robin! I actually read the original post and the conversation goes like this : Red : If the Sun is shining and you step outside you see your shadow dumbass . Stay in school Black : If the Sun is in your eyes your shadow is BEHIND YOU..... **Red ghosts him** Have a nice day! 😁
In the universe where people don't remember how turbulent the 70s actually were around the globe, and how the UK used to be real dicks to the places it thought it owned....
Northern Ireland is part of the UK. I think you mean Great Britain. And yes, they were incredibly huge dicks to the places they invaded/occupied/ imagined they owned. Good job no other countries in the world had the gall to do anything like that, eh?
"Feel how Belfast was in the 1970s" Ah, yes, I too wish to feel what it is like living under the threat of IRA car bombings or Loyalist retaliation attacks.
11:04 It gets better, the section of the video flagged by Warner for copyright violation was playing the song they were trying to argue was not the same as the song they owned. They claimed the wrong song because someone couldn't be bothered telling the two apart.
6:24 On an unrelated note, once I was playing Scrabble and played a kind of made up a word I thought sounded real: gapy, we googled it, it meant a parasidic disease of chicken XD
11:04 the funniest part of that video was the fact that they copyright claimed the wrong song. The original video was actually defending Warner music by saying the other song's melody was different from Dark Horse. He show this by showing the notes, and apparently the part they claimed was Dark Horse was actually the guy playing the other song.
@@yasininn76 there's far worse on the internet. The entire knowledge of the internet in a single bite-sized strawberry would be like every taste that has been tasted, every taste that's currently being tasted, every taste that will ever be tasted and every taste that won't be tasted
15:21 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve been laughing for the past 5 minutes at this lmao! I feel bad for any children that may have encountered this 😂😂😂 Also the way he says it all out is hilarious 💀
Actually, with the creation of the Erie Canal, Long Island technically is an island. The Erie Canal runs through New York City dividing Brooklyn from Manhattan, so while it isn’t a wide canal, it technically does cut Long Island off from New York, making it an island, so it a sort of man-made island, but an island nonetheless.
@@generalkenobilegoproductio5488 does this mean southern Europe is an Island? There is a canal/river connection from the black sea through Vienna in Austria, Frankfurt in Germany to Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Edit: you are a brickfilmer too?, what are the odds!
Re: Naomi Wolf's clueless statement about Belfast, 5G, and the 70s is ultimately hilarious because Belfast (Ireland) was basically a warzone. Was she being ironic or obscenely ignorant.
Jasper: *Facepalms with both hands* Metal Jasper: *Facepalms with hands and legs* Orange Diamond: How tf is Metal Jasper that flexible? Orange Puzzline: YOU THINK I KNOW ORANGE DIAMOND!!!
1:43 uhm no as an Irish person let me say now 1970’s Belfast was not “calm, still and natural” car bombs, segregation and terrorists running around is not considered natural
@Hitler Did Nothing Wrong nah mate, she said “it” (meaning Belfast) felt like it did in the seventies Plus even if she’s talking about current day Belfast, it’s still not exactly a peaceful utopia, you “alcoholic leprechaun”
When I played that mission I thought to myself “this will be too easy, defenseless enemies” then I realized what I was doing. Honestly that made me enjoy it all the better.
Please, do you know what I would do to people in Just Cause 3? If they give me retractable tethers, people are lucky if they only get hung upside down like I'm the fucking Predator. I have a folder of Skyrim screenshots that I can't show because it's 90% arrow headshots. Don't even get me started on Fallout or Assassin's Creed...
“Should gamers be accountable for in-game war crimes?” I’m just sitting over here, waiting to be unfairly arrested while making my island look pretty in ACNH
@CinematriX _Games I mean if Mkate's comment is sarcasm, it's not as bad as this one reporter thinking that covid-19 is the nineteenth cycle of coronavirus. That should be a post featured on r/facepalm
That Caligula fact is actually false. What happened was his soldier disappointed him (I forgot how) so he made them attack the ocean to embarrass them and teach them a lesson
Actually theres no way to know if caligula was a stupid guy or even if half of the shit he is acused of was real. Because he was that infamous. Theres definitely a ton of lies but we dont know which ones are true. For example giving his own horse a seat on senate, was definitely real, very detailed description of that event. But we dont know if that was a 200 iq moment or just stupidity of his part, due to the fact theres a few consequences that he might not have foreseen. They were unable to vote anything until the animal died because he "refused to speak and vote" And killing it would have ended in a long investigation anyway that would take precedence over it.
10:53 That bracelet display thing for the iPhone has actually been featured in a bunch of lists and even has demo videos that are pretty convincing. So I can understand how someone would fall for it (after seeing it advertised enough).
This can be a old recording and they forgot about it and today they posted it. Just because he says we’re stuck in April and we’re in may doesn’t mean they recorded this in may.
For the Banana being called a vegetable, there is a chance it was a plantain, since they are both similar, even though a plantain is technically a fruit, it is used as a vegetable like a tomato. And it cant be eaten raw ^^ Edit: I just looked up if plantains are good for the gut and it says that since there’s a lot of fiber plantains help with constipation and keeping your digestive tract healthy ^^
10:17 if this were to happen there would be the entire world’s military tracking me. After they found me I wouldn’t revenge be able to get a word in I would just be disintegrated because of the amount of bullets running through my body.
"Should a self driving car kill the baby or the grandma?" Hmm... Maybe it should... *STOP THE CAR AND WAIT FOR THEM TO CROSS AND WHY IS THE BABY ON THE ROAD*
That heterochromia one is hilarious but it’s deliberate, it was posted to /r/notinteresting because the image of him not having it was boring as it’s normal. But damn that is amazing and hilarious, I love it.
15:40 That warning may be for trans men who become pregnant or for women who don't care if a label says it's specifically for men... Companies have to really cover their bases so people can't sue them over bizarre situations.
13:46 i do astral photography sometimes and i just wanna say the milky way is much clearer in photos than in irl, where i take my photos you can barley see it. The reason it’s so much more vibrant on camera is because of long exposures that allow all the light to sleep in, while our eyes can’t register that much light.
I love the fact that the genre of reddit reading videos sounds like it would be almost exclusively incel gamers, and yet the majority of these channels are inclusive and fight against those kinds of people.
14:23 this reminded of me visiting my grandpa there and he also has a potato farm. The photos are not that close to the farm my grandpa has, it is a bit more smaller but still we got the opportunity to have infinite fries
English (or Reading) Teachers: thats deep. But should the author be imprisoned because... ... also why do you think he made the character wear brown shoes
To be fair, the article is about in-game legal consequences for committing war crimes in military games to add realism, rather than shooting civilians resulting in losing points, instant failure, or other abstract penalties. The title doesn't convey that well.
0:46 fun fact: your laptop will get heavier if you put more files on it since the way storate works, assuming you are using an SSD files are stored in binary, this means for every single byte there is a cell in storage, the cell can be on or off and cells can be charged or discharged, when cell is charged it gets so ever slightly heavier about one attogram or one quintillionth of a gram, so yes your physical laptop will get heavier as you use up its storage but it is unnoticable.
6:50 People in different countries write the date differently (Something I learned when I moved to America from India) Some countries: month/day/year (Today: 5/6/2021) Others: day/month/year (Today: 6/5/2021) This is why I write "Month day, year" to avoid confusing anyone (Today: May 6, 2021)
