This story-telling episode is pure gold. You were totally in the zone when you put your spin on these stories. Best episode I've listened to so far and I've listened to dozens and dozens of them (probably approaching a hundred). Good job. You even had the presence of mind to tell younger viewers what a D.A. does. That right there is knowing your audience. I know this was posted a year ago and you might not read this considering there are 15k comments (!!!) but on the off-chance you do: If you are ever in need of analyzing an episode to judge your success, i.e. "what should I do that makes an episode most enjoyable to my fans", this one should be VERY high on the list.

I love everything about this one. ESPECIALLY the one with the entitled mom messing with the mute girl. I freakin LOVED IT. 😂😂😂

First story: As well as "Is it written in my contract?" OP could have said "I said I would stay and help as long as I could, and as my new job starts next week, this is as long as I could". Both would be great retorts. Plus he kept his word, he really did stay as long as he could given his upcoming new job.

Listening to your stories and hearing your laugh when a story is particularly outrageous was enough to make me subscribe. I am a manager at a fast food restaurant and see entitled people all the time. Your videos expressed in words how I feel on a regular. Keep up the great work.

All attorneys that represent their governmental entities report to that District Attorney.

I have to say I disagree with your assessment of the final story- OP's mom wasn't overprotective at all, her disabled daughter was in VERY real danger and being attacked by an abusive EM. There was nothing "over" protective about it. Edit: I should clarify- I'm saying that her reaction isn't an overreaction at all, it's normal to be that protective of loved ones.

I feel so bad for the little girl in the last story that she had to live with her abusive mother and I hope the dad gets custody
