That bad roommate story is almost identical to one of my own. I was 18, on my own, and my fiance and I were moving out of our last apartment. Up to this point, we only had one experience with a roommate, and it was fine, so we didn't really vet our new roommate once. He was unemployed, his mother paid for his part of the deposit and first month. Again...young and stupid. First month comes and goes. This roommate (we'll call him Ken) does nothing but sit at home, play video games, and about once every other week go out with a friend of his. 2nd month he gets his mother to pay the rent. 3rd month his mother cuts him off. He goes without paying. By month four, we talked with the management, and explained our situation. They were accommodating, and said if we signed a new lease, they would get rid of the current one. So we did. We moved (in the same complex) from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom at the same cost, and signed a new lease. While Bob was out, about a week before the start of the 5th month, we moved out without a word. As he didn't have a cell phone (this was the 1990s), he couldn't contact us. While he did end up finding us (same apartment complex after all), and spit on my old beat up car's driver mirror, we never heard from him. We lived out the lease happily, before we went month to month and I moved out from her in a similar fashion after she cheated on me.

Okay, as someone who has seen my sister die: you CANNOT do something like that lady at around 9:00! That is insane, offensive, obscene, and really anything else you can think of. That disgusts me.

I've been on record as saying "My loyalty to here (my job) lasts only until a paycheck bounces." And nobody is surprised, my dad was of a similar vein. And the company has gone through upper level changes, going from a leader to an absentee boss. (At least for nights, he is seen maybe once a month.)

I worked for a solicitor who fired me for BS reasons. I went to work for another firm and not long after we had a client who brought his case over from old solicitor. He stated old solicitor was grossly overcharging him. I told new solicitor that old solicitor was notorious for this. New solicitor lodged a complaint on clients behalf with the law society. Old solicitor got a ban from practicing and closed his firm down before relocating to a different city. Karma at its finest!

If I were to be fired for assault after being assaulted more then once, I would make the announcement that I have more then enough information to give to all those scary places

The RA sounds a bit shady in the story. Hard to tell, but it sounds like he didn't want to get involved and maybe thought OP should be in trouble.

Nothing worse than workplace bullying that uses a person''s traumas to potentially ruin their career and possibly their lives. This is why you always keep an ace up your sleeve if the company you work for is poorly upheld and has terrible work ethics.

Oh man... that story about the laptop and stealing because 'stressed' reminds me of a few years ago at Uni. I was studying sculpture at a fairly well known University ...which I won't name... and we were reaching the end of the year. Everyone's going a bit crazy. In fine arts you don't get exams. You instead get end of year reviews, so to speak, where you're setting up and taking down multiple sculptures/installations/art pieces/audio/whatever else the hell we thought of. We need to have perfectly designed art journals documenting the entire year process per class- usually about eight in total for the year. Each class also has multiple sculpures/works... so it isn't that unusual for students to stay overnight to finish work or set it up for the next day's evaluation, to sleep under desks, ect. There's a shared kitchen and uber eats so it's possible. (You just have to hide from the security guard at a certain time. lol He's a cool dude. He's chill about it. As long as no one's drinking alcohol he lets us get away with it.) Anyway at one point we come in and ...someone's eaten all the chocolate and leftovers. We're broke ass uni students. We all have a stash of our own in the fridge of some kind, leftovers, iced coffee was always my thing to store there, chocolate, ice cream (Ben and Jerry gave away a bunch of free ice cream and we managed to get a LOT) Somehow all gone. And people are pissed. Lmao. Hungry and pissed. And stressed. There was totally going to be a witch hunt... Until the next day. Whoever it was had refilled the fridge with a fucking load of goodies. I can't remember exactly. Chocolate, chips, coffee, coke, shit like that, pure stressed student fuel. And a note. They'd freaked out and had a panic attack and had just ...broken. It was kind of funny once our insatiable need for sugar, carbs and salt was satisfied. A few of us actually donated ten bucks or so to a food delivery voucher for them as a kind of joke but also 'hey we feel you and we're here for you' gesture in return. I also went out and bought a bunch of icecream and left it in the freezer for everyone with a note on it saying 'emergancy- spoon some in mouth if stressed'. I'm one of the older students at Uni and try to kind of ...look after the younger ones. This guy was a douche tho. A selfish douche. Didn't think of anyone but himself.

So I listen to your videos while I study/revise. Sometimes I get so invested in my work that I forget what I am watching and get really pissed because of what is happening in them. But then I look on the screen and see that's it's pro revenge and just get exited for this trashy people to get what they deserve.

Resident advisor wasn’t willing to do their job. Campus police (especially myself) would have gone “Theft case, with the suspect known & clear proof? GREAT! Easy case & charges! Thank you!”- Yes, we DO investigate petty thefts, even when the case goes nowhere.

Lil late but the bad roommate story reminds me SO MUCH of the girl I’m subleasing for. She was NUTS! My friend and I had to trick her into letting me sublease for her. She was constantly trying to fight my current roommate/friend, stealing thousands of dollars of her stuff, refusing to pay bills, threw a bottle at my roommate’s cat and threatened her (my roommate kept her cat in her room after that). She stole things from our downstairs neighbors and our landlord as well . When I moved in she still hadn’t moved her stuff out and then tried to hit my roommate so we called the cops to supervise her getting the rest of her stuff. It was ridiculous. She has a no trespass on the property now and the locks have been updated. My roommate is still traumatized and forgets that she can leave her stuff out and not lock her bedroom door when she leaves it. I can’t believe that so many people like this exist!

Ok so I enjoy watching these, he is really funny and I just listen to this his whole R/ channel over and over again normally doing other stuff ( painting my nails/ homework/ etc.) so Im normally not paying attention, but when I heard the bad roommate person scolding the cats, Jesus that made me so mad. My dad has worked at a steel factory near our house for 21, nearly 22, years. He is a manager there, and the company was recently bought so all of the bosses above him were fired, and alot of those below him were to, but since he is right in the middle, he kept his job. With Corona happening, several of his new bosses have been fired as well, so my dad with his 22 years of experience kept his job, and got promoted. Many of his friends were fired, so my dad being the only manager or person of power who was originally there, could easily quit and ruin the business. My dad, being a legend, took his weeks vacation last week, and when he came back the place was a wreck, so he convinced them to rehire his friends. They dad, and his friends took him out drinking.

Oh how I feel for the 50 year old man who was fired at the time he was expecting his first grandchild. Something similar happened to my hubby. He had been working for this company for over thirty years when the son of the owner and founder mismanaged the company after the father died. Even though he was fifty it only took him four months to find a job that had better pay, benefits, and a less stressful working environment.There is such a thing as a happy ending.😀

The OP that got her hair yanked could have also filed for wrongful termination. Swiss and German Companies have very strict archiving protocols for security footage and it isn't allowed to be tampered or deleted within the first year of it being recorded. The Security footage disappearing less than half an hour of the incident was entirely intentional and a BIG security breach ontop of blatant sabotage, she could have not only gotten her job back, but gotten the entire chain of supervisors AND the abusive coworker fired and permanently banned for it.

Related to the last story. In Russia almost everywhere workers get scammed out of their hard earned money. And people to afraid to stand up for themselves. Story from a couple of years back: "Oh, you're working almost 24/7 for 2$/hour? To bad. We'll give you 20% of what you've earned and fire you". And yeah, Subway didn't even give me a copy of my contract. And that kind of bs literally everywhere.

That's why whenever you decide to be in a roommate situation that you have a separate contract stating who's in charge of what and how much what will happen is that person fails to live up to their responsibilities
