Okay, but the divorced dad with a system of very supportive sex workers is iconic and the rainbow sock reveal is just even better. A++ support, A+++ dad, an awkward dad, but a good dad
Yeah, he has good intentions sort of but also so awkward! And he loves his son a lot and goes to all these stand ins for his ex wife and talks about him. Too bad it didn't work out with his mom as it sounds like the guy is still hung up on her type,
Funny part is my mom has offered male "friends" for me to experiment with. (I'm a woman) she believes in free love and finding your sexuality in experimentation.
That story with the single dad and his son actually made me cry. I couldn't even imagine having your child doing that. Edit: To clarify, I mean the second story with the dad and his young boy. I couldn't imagine being in the dad's shoes, feeling shitty for not being able to give your child the life you want then having your child unknowingly gut punch you. It's a bittersweet moment that I hope they both can look back at and cherish.
@@1tsnotmemar1-o6 It is. Children are innocent and don't understand the context of why "daddy doesn't take me places anymore". But as an adult, as a parent this would absolutely destroy me. Dad is working his ass off and already feels horrible for not being able to give his son more. His son absolutely mortally wounded him unknowingly. I feel for them and I hope dad can really pull through on the further education and get him and his son a better life. They deserve the world
@@boogiebear3095 While that is not unheard of, what really unheard of is the judge telling the SOON TO BE SINGLE PARENT to step it up. Like it almost sound like the judge was angry that op even asked for child support.
We don't know the circumstances. Don't judge the judge when you know so little about the case. I can think of plenty of reasonable scenarios, like she's in jail or disabled for example.
Totally! The rainbow socks reveal actually made me tear up a little. That dad was trying SO hard to let his son knew he supported him, but definitely taking a path less travelled to get there!!
@@gmun2248 that made my transbian self tear up. I had such an initially bad coming out experience with my father.... But now, years later... they're accepting. calling me my preferred pronouns. still workin on the name, though. That wave of compassion and support from that father was completely unexpected, and it was right from the get-go. He was also apologetic that he made that decision. he sounds like a guy who just has some emotional trauma and drinks the pain away, and needs a bit of help. That doesn't make him a bad guy. That makes him a relatively decent person who needs help.
@@NekoYuki Sending some virtual hugs & positive vibes your way! I'm glad your family have rallied and are accepting you for who you are. I hope they keep growing in positive directions for you & things keep improving. ✌🏼
I mean, it shows the hypocrisy of the American legal system. He hired escorts, which can’t legally have sex with patrons. The escort business is licensed in the city with the Promise they won’t offer sexual services, yet they offer said services anyways by coding said services as “passionate hugging”. Just legalize it flat out or don’t have any adult services.
@@RussellGreerOfficial I don't think it was in America because they hired a sex worker. Rslash uses the words "passionate hugging" because of RU-vid demonetization, there's literally 0% chance of a real escort service saying that's what they do lmao.
The dad in the first story meant well but was definitely too drunk to not realize how horribly awkward that was until it was too late. It’s very cute that he wore the rainbow socks for the occasion of talking about his son’s sexuality. OP had a very awkward coming out but I’m sure one day it’ll be the funniest story in his arsenal. 😂
I feel for the dad who's little boy saved up for a trip to Golden Corral, but also am so proud of that little guy and the dad should be too! I'm happy he let his son treat him. That little guy must have felt special being able to pay for his dad!
*First OP:* I've read this before. That story was ... an experience. I didn't know OP posted an update! This is one of the most oddly wholesome stories I've read. To quote the Golden Girls, OP's dad's heart was in the right place, but I don't know where the he'll his brain is, lol. *Second OP:* I am too hormonal for this. At least OP and his son got to go to Golden Corral. Best of luck to OP and Rory. I'm sensing a father-son theme in today's vid, lol *Third OP:* So much for the theme, lol. OP's husband is nuts! ... I'm sorry
That first story is one of the best things I've seen on Reddit, it starts with alcohol fueled stupidity and ended with love an acceptance. The dad showing off his new rainbow socks was the best part.
Last Story: How the hell do you pin the blame on someone else for putting YOUR nuts in Tabasco sauce, by yourself I might add? Dude literally did it to himself, LOL.
I bet it was OP's request for the mixed nuts with Tabasco sauce that made him think it's a good idea to do that joke, which honestly, I don't think it was even that funny in the first place, and it's not so much because I'm not the kinda person who's into those kinda jokes, which I'm not, but yeah, even my mother who is into those types of jokes, she would not find this one funny.
I don't cry easily, but the story about the guy's kid saving money to take them to Golden Corral made me tear up. As a father of two, stories like that get to me.
Such a range of emotions on this episode. Fuck. Went from almost crying at work over the guy's kid saving up to go to Golden corral, to trying not to laugh out loud over the nuts in Tabasco sauce.
Sulphuric acid would be WAY worse. If it's concentrated, it'll first literally suck all the water out of your skin. Then it'll begin reacting with it. Nasty nasty stuff!
While milk will help with cooling your mouth if you've partaken of too much hot sauce, it does nothing to help with skin. Don't ask me how I know this.
Yeah, it's nice hearing some lighter stories for once instead of all the crappy people we hear about in the stories from the other subreddits he regularly covers. I really wish he'd throw one of these into the usual mix at least once a week.
The first story made me cry . Well the end of it did😂 As a bisexual (who admittedly is more leaning towards other women)I cried. My parents who are independent fundamentalist baptists told me that if I ever had a girlfriend, she won't be welcome to the house. They said that when I came out. I cried. That was so sweet of the dad. And reminded me that my parents don't love me that much.
I'm really sorry your family doesn't support you. I'm a straight female, but I shed a tear at the rainbow socks reveal in that story too. That dad was trying so hard and it was twisted, hilarious & so sweet. I don't know how old you are (obvs), but I hope as you go through life, at every stage, you find people you choose to be family, who choose you too. Family doesn't have to mean blood.
I'm so sorry you are going through that, it's not fair or right. I can only imagine how this must feel. My parents are Christians too and are against the lifestyles of people in the LGBTQ community. They didn't disown or shun my step-brother and they still love him, but they refused to go to his wedding when he married his husband. He is still welcomed to their home and I think he's has low contact with them.
It sounds like the dad in the first story is really just trying his best and wants his son to be happy, but is such a “goof” that it comes off REALLY REALLY weird… 😂
This is the weirdest, most fun, horrifying and hilarious coming out story I've ever f**king heard XD I'm disgusted and dying of laughter at the same time!!
Friday 3 pm, a new cup of coffee, 1 hour of work left and a new episode of TIFU. How can this weekend start better? 😁 It's been so long since the last TIFU episode.
HURRAY FOR SUPPORTIVE DAD IN THE FIRST STORY LOL, speaking as a lesbian and active member of my local LGBT+ community, I'm always terrified for kids coming out to their parents because sometimes the outcome is an EXTREME reaction that isn't always good. I'm SO relieved that OP's Dad in the first story is accepting, even if he is weird about it rofl. Definitely could have ended on a worse note. (Don't worry about me, I'm an extremely lucky little gay and was able to come out to my Mom immediately because I knew she'd be accepting. My Mom is the best!)
Yeah, the dad was a little too everywhere, though he's going through a hard time and was really drunk so just kinda one of those drunk things ig lol, I've never been drunk or been around drunk people so not my place to tell though. Though super good on him of being accepting, even though the person was a bit of a motor mouth as they put it, I'd say it's kinda fortunate that it got out, in a way, since OP no longer has to hide it. I wish I could tell my parents that I am gay lol, even if this mess was how lol (except for the divorced part of course, I meant more of the overall situation lol)
First story was heartwarming and embarrassing as fuck. What a good dad. But that second story...I hope that dad has been successful. It must feel so humbling and definitely stings.
As a dad, the one story hurts. The last story made me laugh. Made me think of when Geoff Ramsey from roster teeth put tiger balm on himself. Hit him like a truck.😂
Story 2: OP is amazing, and Rory is adorable. I second taking the mother back to court for child support. My dad was a single parent as well. He got 100% custody of 2 toddlers (my brother and me) in 1980. He married my step mom in 1990, so 10 years by himself. A shout out to all the single dads out there!
I got one that I love telling. My cousin lives in Arizona he used to work on a pepper farm they put him in the habanero fields and told him as usual do not touch his face after he is done picking them. Well he had to use restroom and no one told him that he should wash his hands before using the restroom. You can guess all that turned out.
Story 2: So…i wasnt the only one who cried during this story right…? (also side note, you know DAMN WELL if a judge EVER told a mother “you need to step up as the mom” then they’d be removed as a judge but when it happens to a man it’s fine)
Ok, the father on the first story can be summed up with "He is a little confused, but he got the spirit." Honesty, history was filled with embarassing moments, but overall that was a good ending. Also, fuck that judge on the second story!
Being a parent when you're not ready takes its toll. The little things you don't think about and gloss over have unknown meaning and impact on your kids. I hope that dad continues working at being the best dad he can be
That was an emotional one. It sounds like he is doing a great job with what he has just now, and he is still very young. He has many years ahead of him to keep aiming for his goals, and certain things become easier/ more achievable as kids get a bit older. He's clearly raising a great kid, credit to the dad.
If he sues for child support and wins, then there's a chance that the woman will also have the option for court order visitation. It's definitely tough, but if I were in his shoes, I would do anything to keep that woman out of my kids life, including going without child support.
Story 1: so we're just gonna skim over the fact that OPs dad not only referenced OPs moms privates, but also made a sexist comment, and ON TOP of that, almost made his son have sex DRUNK 💀 like jesus christ dude, seek help
My dad was put in the same situation, back in the 80s. My mom was too high to show up to the court date and he never got child support from her. It was incredibly hard for us to get by but not nearly as hard as it was for this poor man and his son
A wise man once said, "If you go touching your jalapeños, and then go touching your jalapenis, it's not gonna kill you or nuttin', but it's gonna mess your day up for sure."
The ending of the First story was unexpectedly wholesome... Especially when most of the reddit stories you read about gay OPs are about how homophobic their family members are.
The dad from story 1 is AN ENTIRE MEME 😂😂😂😂 he sounds like a sitcom character lmaoo I’d think it was fake if I hadn’t met middle aged men just like this guy. People are so funny.
i remember a hilarious tall story from high school, guy used to live next door to a loud couple who used make out frequently. so he snuck/broke in when they were't home and some how swapped the lube tube with deep heat instead (might've emptied the tube and with difficulty refilled it with deep heat) then the next time they made out, he slathered it on the his sausage stuck it in her oven/purse a few times before they both realized that it wasn't just in the "heat of the moment" because they were both yelling and screaming like their bits were on fire. the girl had it worse of course IN, not ON like his :). they were good quite neighbors afterwards if this tall story had any truth in it ;)
I feel like this quote sums up how OP and the rest of us felt hearing about his dad's sex life. "No amount of therapy will ever make this moment okay"- Timmy Turner
OMG! I pulled a gluteal muscle this morning trying to help my mother up from a fall. She asked me if I wanted her to rub some Voltaren gel on the muscle. I told her, "I've seen too many Reddit stories where any analgesic rub touches the sensitive skin areas, and it never ends well." LOL - I think I felt this was going to be in your show today.
13:40 OH MY GOD!!! There was one guy who put an entire tube of that stuff on his… jewels… anyyyyway, because that…area… has such thin skin and soo many blood vessels it is great at uhh… absorbing… well he made a full recovery but he was in the hospital for weeks and all of his organs nearly failed
I'm listening to this while having drinks by the pool with my neighbors, an awesome gay couple, and when you said "gay elephant" one of them spun around and shouted "I'm not fat, dammit!"😂😂😂 Gary, I love you, dude. Never change.
The last story, its like when people try putting icyhot on that area. The skin is much thinner than like your arm or your back, that people get poisoned from the skin absorbing too much of it and eventually depositing it into the bloodstream. All in all, it coulda been worse
As someone who once went to pee directly after dicing jalapeno peppers, I can with utter confidence state that dipping your family jewels in milk does, in fact, help.
For the Tabasco and deep heat cream stories: Capsaicin and most heat creams are oil like substances, Dawn dish soap is great for breaking them down and removing them from the skin.
Tabasco story: 3 things help “neutralize” capsaicin (what makes peppers hot). Milk, sugar, and alcohol. Actually it’s just that capsaicin is soluble in those as opposed to water which just spreads it around.
Truth to be told, the first story it seems that the dad is just a good guy, loves his son and misses his ex-wife. Awkward as heck, but still, that man definitely goes the extra mile for his kid. The socks part was the best though. Pure dad pun material.
OP said her husband thought he was being funny by putting his nutz in Tabasco. Let's be honest--he was! That's hilarious! I think I'll give something similar a try. Fortunately, my wife loves spray butter and not so much Tabasco.
