I'm so sad for the first OP's wife, not him. I'm glad he has to face the devastation he caused but OP's wife, she didn't deserve that devastation.

Middle story about dude withholding intimacy from his wife had me literally SCRREEAAMMIINNGG in my car on the way to work, “Why are you married to this dude???” it’s so obvious he’s cheating on her and she’s completely blind to it.

Tinder Scam OP NEEDS to get the police involved, because even if parts of her story are true (which is VERY unlikely, unless OP is leaving some major things out), her family is clearly extorting him and it will never end if he doesn't put an end to it.

There is something called mandatory reporting when you work with kids. So you wouldn't get a call from a "child protective agency" they would have called the cops and wouldn't bother contacting you at all.... That was red flag number one, they don't make deals with child predators and wouldn't care that you didn't know. Honestly, it didn't sound like he did much anyway talked to the girl on the phone or more likely texted. When they made a deal and asked for money, he should have been calling the cops.

Story 3: OP stop making excuses for your abusive husband and go, there are much better men out there that won't use sex as a weapon and disrespect you every damn time he sees you. You don't want to be a victim fine get out of the relationship or at least stop letting him treat you like trash.

The abusive partner withholding intimacy, love, any form of kindness, seems like standard domestic violence, this is backed up by her denial and defensiveness. It's hard for DV survivors to leave, it appears OP is struggling with guilt and shame. It's so upsetting, I hope one day she chooses to leave.

In the story with the checked-out husband: the worst thing that stuck out to me was "You need to watch YOUR kids." I'm sorry what? They're your kids too buddy!

For the scam story this actually happened to me. I was talking with someone who said they were 21 which was around my age, only to find out it was a lie after some dude called saying he was an officer and the girl was actually 15. The bad news is they got nearly 5k from me mainly because I was not in the right mental state due to my mom recently passing. Still it angers me thinking that there are people out there who do this.

Story 2: hey you're not in control when you're in a situation like that, and the doctor didn't report you that's probably a sign that she's not holding it against you.

There is no pity for cheaters.

As the old saying goes: if this cheater is looking for sympathy, that's in the dictionary between shit and syphilis.

Story 3: All we can do is hope that OP wakes up and realises she's stuck in a nightmare. Victims sometimes don't want to admit they're a victim bc they feel ashamed, which is an after effect of the abuse. A lot of them will also use kids as an excuse, but at that point you're endangering the kids as well. By allowing them near an abuser and letting them see this abusive relationship play out, when kids don't know any better and will think that it's a normal relationship.

i am flabbergasted that the guy in the scam portion is actually falling for it. it wouldn’t be his fault anyway because she lied about her age, led him to believe she was 18, he did nothing with the photo and it seemed like he was 100% creeped out by it, and he SHOULD get the police involved. i know it’s most likely a fake story but i’m still heated about it

Story 4: OP She told you early in the relationship that she was pregnant, it's not like she didn't not know she was sleeping with other guys. I understand it not changing your son's relationship but this is something you need to discuss with her, because there is a chance she might be baby trapping you with someone else's kid.

Had something similar to story 7 happen, some guy claiming to be a cop called and give the same speech but said I could talk to the parents to avoid jail, which immediately made me suspicious, and the "dad" of the 15 year old sounded like her grandfather and I essentially told them to come arrest me since I knew I'd not broken any laws and they said they'd come me. Remember law enforcement never calls beforehand

Story 1: I feel sorry for the guys wife. Sorry 2: ouch. I feel sorry the guy feels like he's going crazy. Story 3: divorce him. He's a toxic ass.

For the dating app story: EXTORTION OP, trust but always verify. The calls from CPS, can you verify it was actually someone from CPS? Why would they suggest you contact her dad, when you probably shouldn’t be contacting anyone in that family in an actual scenario of this nature? I know it must be scary what they did, but think a moment and start asking yourself some questions. Also you should probably talk to your mom. You’ll need some support. I hope you can get your money back.

On the "Not the Bio dad" thing, the mother could absolutely be completely unaware he's not the father. I know because that's what happened with my mom. She was sleeping with a few people openly at the time I was conceived, decided to keep me, did the math and determined it was one guy, told him she wouldn't chase him for money, just wanted him to know in case he wanted to be involved and then raised me as a single mother. Theres no father on my birth certificate. It was more just curiosity. Yeah, 30 years later I did a DNA test and matched with someone who was my biological aunt - my father was a complete different man and I was born 2 weeks LATE.

I don't get how cheaters can do what they do. Even the thought of stealing the light in my wife's eyes by being that heartless and selfless guts me. I hope the wife in story 1 finds someone else who makes her happy and takes her wellbeing seriously.

The only "cheaters" I feel sympathy for are the ones that are in actually abusive relationships and are just trying to escape. I've seen it before and it was a wake up call. I never understood why people cheat until I watched what was happening to her.

Story 5: If it wasn't so obvious I would almost give credit, you don't even have to be proven guilty the second someone claims you're a pedophile your life is over, taking advantage of that someone can milk a poor sucker for every penny they have.

Ok, if someone goes on a dating site but lies about their age, they should have to face some kind of punishment. Why is it on the other person to background check or mind read every single person who swipes right on them? "Going against term of service" how about lying about your age?! Pretty sure thats against terms of services, as well. OP should have just gone to a lawyer the moment he found out her age.

I had an ex that used that witholding affection crap with me. At the time I didn't realize how manipulative and abusive it was. I can remember the worst incident is when I went to get my hair cut and they were doing a special where haircuts would be free if you donated so much of your length. Being completely broke at the time. I figured I could save the money from my haircut to put in my gas tank so I went ahead and got my hair done shorter than I originally planned. It turned out fantastic and I was so happy. And then when I went home, I was berated for cutting my hair short without permission, for looking like a "f'ing *gay slur*", and I was no longer allowed to initiate any physical contact or conversation with my SO. That was many years and many toxic relationships ago, and I'm in therapy and have decided that relationships are just not for me anymore. And the real kicker is that SOB is married, likely to the person he was cheating on me with. She can have him. Trash belongs with trash, after all.

I remember being under sedation as a child and I remember being trapped in a box without light. I woke up screaming that I wanted water like I had never had water in my entire life. While screaming I remember thinking “why is this happening why am I doing this, who is screaming?” I was pretty young.

Last hits kinda hard for me because my ex boyfriend/daughter's father was way to close with his female friend/coworker (they dated) and I've told him that i was uncomfortable with the closeness of their relationship, he brushed me off. I think the rant about the paternity story was uncalled for. It IS entirely possible that OP's girlfriend is lying about cheating, knowing the true paternity of her child, or both. It IS possible. But it is ALSO possible that MAYBE she was in another relationship before this, didn't know she was pregnant from it, and genuinely believes the child is OP's. She may not know herself. It's ALSO possible that maybe she was SAed and traumatized and doesn't want to believe her pregnancy was a result of that. Maybe OP doesn't know about that. Maybe she was SAed and she herself doesn't remember. Who knows?? We certainly don't. MAYBE the baby belongs to NEITHER OF THEM. Hell, they might have been given the wrong baby to take home following the birth. It happens more often than you might think! There are plenty of reasons for paternity to not match what is believed to be true. It's NOT always "she cheated." OP should talk to his girlfriend about it so he can find out the full truth, and so she can know that he knows (and potentially learn the full truth herself). They need to be on the same page about how to move forward if they want to stay together and continue to co-parent. They need to have this conversation anyway, since OP may not be a good donor match for his child in emergency medical situations, like a bio father would be. Bad take, R/Slash.

Me and my sister both have been diagnosed ambien at one point. We both remember on it we felt like it was hilarious to lie. We were aware normally we wouldn’t lie but at the time nothing seemed like more fun than deceit. My sister tried to convince some guy in the hospital that she had 2 children. I will say on the "turns out it's not his son" story, there is a chance she might genuinely think he is the father. If she was given a rough timeline of when it was conceived she might have matched it up to her relationships and decided either because she was with him for most of it besides the first day of the estimate or she only went with the estimate. For example, if she was told the baby was conceived in the first two weeks of March roughly and her last time with someone else was March 1st. She might statistically think that it was likely OP. That's not how it works but some people think that is how it works. Or her last time with someone else was February 26th, which isn't in the estimate, so it can't be that person has to be op. Despite it being an estimate and not how that works. People can be very stupid.

As for story 2, I can't be fully sedated. So, like OP I've got to be high af and semi-conscious. I had to have an important surgery and I was convinced, CONVINCED that I told the whole OR about a very traumatic incident where I was forced to un-alive my abusive ex out of self defense. I also was convinced that I was laughing like the Joker about saying that I'd gladly do it again and other terrible things. Omg, when I say that I was curled up in a ball bawling my eyes out in the recovery room, I'm not kidding. When my surgeon came to check on me thinking it was severe post -op pain (yeah that area hurt but, that's not why I was crying). I was extremely traumatized thinking I told everyone what happened and etc. Not all post anesthesia stories are funny 😢😢 I always get the fcked up experience.

As the child of a cop, I saw my mom and dad in a similar situation to that story. I’m 25 now, and she’s stayed with him and defended him to this day. It’s fucked up to watch, and it fucked me and my sibling up living with a volatile jackass of a father.

4:00 similar thing happened to me. I got blackout drunk at a friends house, and was 1000% CERTAIN I had vomited all over her couch. When I woke up the next morning i inspected the area and asked if i had puked on her couch. I didnt. I threw up in a bowl and in the toilet, but not on her couch

The one about the distant husband is like my cop ex who was cheating on me with the dispatcher. He wanted hardly anything to do with our three kids until his THIRD wife didn't think he should pay child support- the corrupt local courts gave HIM custody! r/Slash, I have been listening to your videos for several years, and I would like to thank you for including the "It's a scam" story. I was listening until the end thinking about how similar this was to what my friend is currently experiencing. I did not even consider this being a scam until you said it was. I just called my friend who is at work and laid it all out, as well as send the link to your video. Because of this video, my friend finally got the courage to tell someone in his family. I have no idea how it's going right now, but I know that he has more hope in the hour than he has in months.

In the "It's a Scam" story, it's absolutely a scam. All OP had to do was talk to a lawyer in the beginning to clear up any misunderstanding and boom you aren't in any danger. If you ever suspect you committed a crime by incompetence or neglect you can always talk to a lawyer and see what your options. Lawyers can not help you keep committing crimes but they are to represent and keep confidence with you whatever you tell them.

Story 3: holy frick, this wife needs to leave him. He acts like he's the only one overwhelmed by the kids. She's better off alone and not being abused by him too.

Oh boy, so I don't know what I was on when i had my appendix removed, but my whole body was burning hot, like, put y hand on the stove hot and I otherwise felt calm, but the staff kept telling me I was just having a panic attack (I've had panic attacks, tis was different). I INSISTED to wash my hands, and eventually they let me because i was talking so much and repeatedly. I woke up mid surgery and 'booped' my 'second bellybutton' and got myself strapped to the bed as a result, got knocked out again. Then I woke up really high and told a nurse I loved her, I wanted to get married and that the 'kink' was cute (Because I was strapped to the bed). She laughed and declined my proposal, I cried. the nurses asked if I used drugs before because the oramorph painkiller didn't work and I seemed to resilient to the anaesthetic, but I hadnt. I explained that my parents used while pregnant and I didnt know if it'd have an effect, but I just got a 'hm' and was moved onto paracetamol I really hoped it was a hallucination, but a couple of amused and bemused surgeons had confirmed that no, I'd just been a nuisance lol (also my appendictomy scar has a stretched bit where i shoved my hand and I had to be on IV antibiotics for an additional week) thank goodness I washed my hands

Story 1: OP having this woman as a wife is honestly very lucky of him. She kisses him every morning saying I love you, being happy and bubbly, and smiling a lot. But why does OP have to ruin that relationship by cheating? Honestly OP, you brought this on yourself, if you hadn't cheated, none of this would've happened.

Part of that last story reminds me of something that happened to me years ago. My brother and I shopped at the same GameStop, but not always together. Sometimes, he'd go with his wife. Once, we were together, and I introduced him to the manager as my brother. She goes, "oh thank God! I wasn't sure how I was going to tell you he was cheating on you. He's come in with another woman". I told her that was his wife. She was really relieved.

Story 2: My husband started shouting at his anesthesiologist when he had a surgery years ago, telling him, "Who the (f) are you! Get the (f) out of my living room, now!"

They made me Ketamine while i had fluid taken out of my lungs. I drifted in and out of consciousness. I was aware of what i said to who. Yes i was aware, i could speak and couldn't move. I remember i occasionally asked my mom how she was doing/feeling as well as doctors. Second story: the boundary, and denial of physical affection, physical touch, THIS is one of many things that gets spouces to cheat in the first place.

Story 1: I feel sorry for the wife but I don't understand why she wants to stay when she's clearly miserable. If she does _actually_ want to stay with him, then I hope she is able to find a positive path forward with that. Honestly, I hope she finds the self worth/esteem to realise she deserves better. Also it just occured to me that he mentioned his wife giving him permission to keep sleeping with the AP, but doesn't say he rejected the deal. For the guy with the Minor, this is definitely a scam. You start a conversation with someone, they send a NSFW pic, then suddenly it's revealed they're a minor and they conveniently don't want the cops involved. It's all about the money. Just think for one second and ask " what sort of Dad would respond to their minor child in an inappropriate relationship with a man by asking for money." The only answers are an abusive POS or a scammer.

When I was under conscious sedation and was recovering I told my husband I grew a 3rd arm (my IV). When the nurse came to take my iv out, I told her "that's my arm lady, where are you going with it!?". She laughed and walked out with it. I started to cry and I looked at my husband and I said "she stole my arm!! She's so rude"! I said other weird stuff too but this was his favourite lol.

Cheaters don't deserve a 2nd chance at all Like you did it you consciously made that action and there's no turning back as guilt and regret weighs heavy on your back for life

First story: I don't pity cheaters and OP basically emotionally broke his wife after your cheating with another person.

That last OP needs to send all the ex bf's 'friends' a copy of the reciept for the vacation SHE booked for them and say he tried to steal it with his new side piece. Let the truth me known.

The withholding story, I think it's ok to put your child on one of those leashes or even have a tracker on the kid because it's probably necessary. However, OP needs help for real like therapy, marriage counselling, a carer for your child because I get they're hard work and may need the extra attention (which your husband isn't giving).

3rd story: Being with the same job as the husband, his situation is so familiar, irritated and low on any patiance, tired and just done with anything, just wanting to do something mindless such as scrolling tik tok. Such behaviour is not justified nor should be defended, instead should be faced and dealt with before it gets worse. In this situation it is either leave the SO or help them, that depends on the person, I chose to deal with the issue, but someone might choose to be even more agressive. Hope OP can see trough it and actually do something, before it gets worse, because it likely will

That first story is such a gut punch. Because, that guy is STILL running away from his marriage. He says he wants to set her free, like he's doing it out concern for her, but honestly it just sounds like he doesn't want to take responsibility for making her happy. He should be worshipping her

The withholding story, that's just cold torture. My love language is also touch, I couldn't stay in that relationship. Not just for the s3x, but the general lack of affection.

I have high tolerance to anesthesia and often wake up during surgery, and I don't get to have any of the fun goofy reactions. I'm lucid the entire time. My mom seems lucid and can have a totally normal conversation with you, but she won't remember any of it.

I always find it funny that the cheater always claim that they love the SO, but not enough to stay loyal and only feels "remorse" when they get caught. I really hope the future ex gets the help/support that she needs, si that she can leave OP. And clean him out in the divorce.

I know you almost didn’t post the tinder scam one but thank you SO MUCH for doing so. I got hit with the same scam but freaked out and called the cops immediately because I didn’t know what else to do. They reassured me that it was a scam and to just ignore it. I was able to avoid losing my money like op. Y’all if this ever happens to you, first know the red flags, but if you miss them then block the numbers and move on. I’m sorry if you end up with some trauma like I did. Feels so incredibly good to know I’m not alone tho

Fellow ketamine patient here: it IS like a waking dream. They call it “twilight” sedation for a reason. You’re stuck in one position, can’t move, can’t open your eyes, but can hear the nurses, etc. it’s the weirdest feeling. I hated it. Felt like I was dreaming a familiar dream/deja vu while simultaneously riding a rollercoasters in brilliant colors. This is why I don’t do drugs. 😂

I was coming out of anesthesia and I was like waking up and nodding back off. There was a nurse sitting with me while I woke up and while I don’t remember what all I said, I did remember saying “oh my gosh! You’re so pretty. You’re so beautiful!!” Not embarrassing but still funny. She was laughing
