hope you all enjoyed this tyre review. I am looking forward to bringing the 200/300 mile review on these pilot road 6s.. for now ride safe and take care... especially now the highway code has been changed..
The trail version is specifically designed for taller bikes with longer travel suspension whereby the side walls are more compliant thus basically more comfortable than the standard or the GT version. The 6's not offer a trail version yet so i have stuck with the trail 5 version until the 6's trail version comes out as i value compliance or comfort more.
I’m riding a BMW R1250GS TE with OEM tyres. I was intending to fit the Michelin 6 tyres but my local dealer is having difficulty sourcing the “trail” rear but can get the GT rear. He also offered the Metzeler Tourance Next 2 pair, but having had the Pilot 4 on my previous bike I’m probably going to stick with the Michelins. I’d be interested in your views, opinions and review of the Metzeler though.
hi, I mounted them a little while ago and I only did 300 km and I must say that they are fine. the only thing I have to see is if they oscillate like the Road 5 did at other speeds. Beyond 190/200 km / h it fluctuated a lot
Triumph Tiger Explorer 2015; Road 6 are pretty amazing, replaced Metzeler Tourance EXP and am really happy... should get 15-20K from the rear tire... pretty amazing.
I find these tyres amazing mukka they give a lot of confidence on the road and corners But also grippy in the wet too I’m that amazed with them I brought another set ready to put on
I would love to know about the Dunlop Trailmix Mission vs the Road 6. I rode more in rain/ashfalt most of the time and maybe 10% light off road. The only tire experience I have in my previous and current GS/A are with the OEM Bridgestone Batlax a41, and they are PRETTY GOOD in rain. Thanks a lot, would appreciate a feedback.
I am looking to replace A41s that came with the bike from new just got 6k on them front is starting to square rear has quite a bit on it but probably not enough for our upcoming Ireland trip. ? short supply of road 6
i ran anakee adventure, but after a while they seem to go hard and i lost confidence in them as you did with the Dunlop. now my dilemma is which one? either anakee 3 or the road 6. both made by Michelin, very similar tread pattern. have you tried or looked at the anakee 3 tyre
Michelin road 6 very good fitted to my brand new kawasaki z900rs completely different ride and handling to stock Dunlop tyre fitted from factory its all about the tyres
Hi - I have a R1250 GSA, since the day I picked it up I have been disappointed with the horrendous road noise from the from coming up around the forks and the tank area. Current tyres are Bridgestone Battlax Adventure, still like new. But I'm prepared to change them. Did the Michelin Road 6 have any front road noise mate ?? Thanks.
I have the same issue on my r1200gs. Horrendous noise coming from the front. I have the Michelin Anakee Adventure tyres and or I will try new quite tyres or another motor. I am super sensitive on sound/noise and for me it’s pretty much unbearable to ride the damn thing.
Use the correct name. Michelin has dropped "Pilot" from their Road 5 and Road 6 tires. The Road 5 GT tires on my Wethead RT have been perfect. Great confidence, all the way to the edge. Good grip in wet conditions. Outstanding tires! I've gotten 14,000 to 15,000 km out of each set. Maybe your riding skills are the problem.
Hi Stuart. The tire sizes for the BMW R1250GS Adventure are 120/70 R19 on the front wheel and 170/60 R17 on the rear wheel. Check out Michelin’s website for details on sizes available and if they fit your bike. Ride safe buddy. Let us know how you get on. We can share the knowledge. 👍✌️
They're plenty good but if you're fast they'll only last like 8-10k km, I had power 5s on my cbr650r and they lasted almost 6, 50/50 highway 140-160kmh and fast twisties End of the day if it rains enough times to annoy you get the roads, if not, the powers, there is a different but I probably won't go back to powers, too small of a difference for the mileage you lose
got 5's on mine. wondering what happened to the chicken strips? these are street tires, if i was leaving the pavement, i wouldn't use these. maybe I'm old school, but not on a gs, sry
Do i see tjat You use stanrd Road 6 not GT? I also have GS-A and was wonderning should i but GTversion or standrard. Ehat is Your opinion as You former user of road 5s and 4s
No GT in the Road 6 range. The standard Road 6 now has the same weight rating as the Road 5 GT. I put a set on an RT boxer today. I koved the 4s then loved the 5s even more. I'm wondering how they could possibly have made them better in the 2 years since they were released.
Hi Jason. The 6 GT has a stronger construction to cope with heavier bikes such as BMW’s K1600 and Honda’s Goldwing. Hope this helps. Ride safe buddy. Consider subscribing, if you haven’t already. 👍✌️
I'm lost, pal. Michelin anekee adventure on mine and they have done 9 thousand miles they need changing now you say 11 hundred one of us is doing something wrong.
Hi handsome. Great looks, great voice and product review. Would you mind hydrating yourself during your video? What drink do you prefer to have during your day? Thanks from California USA.

Some have needed a patch and I fix them and ride them until they get square!!!! I have 14 tires hanging in my garage!! On my 2001 Ducati st2, I BOUGHT 5 tires in 205,000 miles!!!
