Great honest review. My Multi V4 came with Pirelli Scorpion II, a fantastic and capable tyre. Having seen this clip I tried the Michelin 6 front and rear. This absolutely changes the V4 in to a missile reliable grip in all weather conditions. I use my Multi for track and road coaching with RAPID TRAINING and this tyre is just Awesome 👍

I'm glad someone is trying out the Road 6's on the Multi. My Multi is still really new with only about 500 miles on it so it'll be great information when the time comes for a new set. I also wanted to make it down to COTA to hang out and maybe catch you down there, but I ended up having work issues that weekend and I was down in Arlington, TX with my kids for Wrestlemania the weekend before. Hopefully I can make it next year and we can chat it up a bit in the Ducati Island area if you are still riding a Ducati at that time. Take care sir!

I rode the Multistrada up and down the Blue-ridge Parkway for two days, fully loaded with camping gear on a set of Michelin Pilot 5s and was hard on the throttle in the tight turns through North Carolina and they stuck like glue to the road. I was actually trying to get the rear to slide a little under power but the Pilot rear was unbelievable. My traction control warning LEDs hardly ever lit up.

Have had Road 3, 4 and 5 on my S1000XR and love them, can’t wait to try the 6 next, nice update on the 6.

Thanks for the review. I’m 2k miles into the Scorpion Trail 2s on my V4S and the rear has ever-so-slightly slipped twice while accelerating out of corner, maybe from too much throttle. Not enough to crash, but enough to get the heart going. I don’t like how the sipes go all the way to the edges. I didn’t have slippage issue on my last bike with the Road 5s. I’ve been thinking about making the jump early to the Road 6s.

Cool Vlog. Love'd the Michelin's on my old pikes peak, felt good in the wet and were really sticky in the dry. Plenty of peg scraping action to be had!

I would have to agree with you on the Road 6s I have a set F-R on my KTM 890R Duke and kept the OEM Michelin Powercups for my track bike. Man they're an amazing tyre the Road 6s and extremely hard wearing I don't think I have ever had a tyre this good before in 40 years of road riding I remember the old Pirrelli MP7s came close for having the perfect profile but you hit the nail on the head with your review cheers mate Happy Trails from Australia

I have the Michelin Road 6 fitted to my S1000XR. So far very impressed. Recently did long wet ride, zero issues. Good grip. I had the Road 5, i enjoyed them, good lifespan, fantastic wet and dry grip, so it was a natural progression to replace with the Road 6. Done about 1000klm,so far extremely happy. Fantastic grip. Paid R5680.00 South Africa rand for a front and rear set included fitting and balancing. Always best to run matching tyres. Great to see you bike " issues" seem to be finally resolved. Hello Rembo! The flat spot you show in your video, we call here in my country: "square tire". I face this situation in a 10.000 miles trip to Ushuaia. When the tire get like this, you have to keep it in mind to avoid some affright, because in a curve, when you go from the flat spot to the bend one, motorcycle shakes loosing the balance a little bit. Of curse in a tire much more worn out / "square" than that you showed. Regarding tires, I had Michelin Anakee 3 and the only claim was the noise when running. Other features, very good to me. Right now I have Pirelli Scorpion Trail II in my bike and I am totally satisfied. Very good grip in dry and wet floors. I say that, because time to time I reach the end or the corner of the thread of the rear tire. Here in my state, some roads are like Pikes Peak and it is possible to reach this area of the tire. We say that they are our Dineyland. Right now tires are around 7500 miles and "half life", so good resistance also. Enjoy your twist roads. By the way, where do you have them in Flórida? 😃😃😃 Please, forgive some English mistakes.

I’m getting Road 6s fitted to my new Pikes peak before I even get it from the shop… I’ve only every ridden on the 2,3,4,5 and now 6s Love them….Great in the wet.. Gives you so much confidence… and great longevity. 100% rate them…👊

Between my last Multi and this one I’ve done about 50k miles on the Pirelli’s - albeit most of that on the Rally STRs because I was previously doing a lot more off-roading. I’ve always been happy with the Pirelli’s, but curious if I might get a little extra benefit out of a different tire selection and the Michelin’s are a consideration. Still unsure, but your vid is probably the best I’ve seen so far on the differences. Many thanks!

I think tyres today are all pretty good, i haven't fitted a tyre to any bike recently that i haven't been happy with, albeit i ride touring & naked bikes. Milage on the other hand varies enormously in my experience. I've just completely worn out a pair of Michelin S22's in 3,200 miles

I'm having 2 Michelins Road 6 installed on my BMW R1250 GSA. In particular for more stability and grip in wet conditions. I never get to go offroad anyway... All good!

I just installed a new set of road 6 GT on my gen 1 Hayabusa. OUTSTANDING! I agree with this clip 100%. I’ve always been a Metzler guy but I’ve officially been won over by the stability through corners, straights and sweeps. Unreal. I was cautious at first because the center was quite high while breaking them in. But that didn’t last and once I dialed my psi( 38R-38F) I’m on rails. I’m weighing in at 260 plus bike weight so tires are extra important to me. I couldn’t be happier. Especially since the guys at the over priced shop I was forced to use, forgot to bill me for the rear ( just labor) . Thanks guys and thanks for the great clip!

Michelin! I had a GT set on a Kawi and Power RS on my previous XD. Michelin PS Road 4 on my Porsche 911. Very comfortable, very good grip and wear on all my vehicles

I ride an S1000xr, 26000 kms a year all year round in brussels area, so a lot of wet and cold. I love the Metzler Roadtec 01s. They realy get up to temperature fast and inspire confidence. I get about 15 to 17000 kms out of them (50% highway speeds, 20% lane filtering thrugh trafic) Road 6es are on the short list. My BMW dealer has them on his GS and is totally convinced.

I’d always always go a matching pair. Michelin Road 6. Easy selection, easy choice.

I am seriously looking at this tire for my 2013 Multistrada. I've been running Dunlop Q3+ tires which are great with no flat spotting but don't last long overall.

Thanks for the information. Although the original Scorpion trail 2's have not let me down once I'm changing up to a more road focused set also. At the moment I'm considering either the Road 6s or the Angel GT 2s. I've been so impressed by the Scorpion Trail's that I'll I'll probably stick with Pirelli, but every review I've seen on the Road 5s and 6s is also very impressive. It's just a shame we don't have many choices for sticky 19" fronts.

I just had a set of the new Road 6's mounted. I did a quick scrub in over the last two days. Just over 200 miles. They are fabulous! Brand new and sticking like glue to the road. They did replace a set of worn Michelin Pilot Road 5's that were amazing all the way to the wear indicators. The Road 6's were mounted on a 2013 Honda VFR1200F. I also ride a nicely restored 1984 Honda VF700F Interceptor with Pirelli Sport Demons mounted. Awesome old girl and still a screamer. I had this same model; red, white and blue Interceptor in 750cc back in the late 80's-early 90's during my time in the Corps. I stupidly sold it when detaching from active duty and have regretted it ever since. Wondering if any of these old beauties were still around... I found the 700 in central PA in 2019 and had to have it. Wife's eye were rolling but you know, bike life! Ride safe brother! Semper Fi Marine!

Hi, as I mentioned before, this is the best road tire you can get today, I used them in my previous Multistrada and at 6k miles still look like more that half way to go, will easy last you 12k miles, now let's talk about those curvy roads you discovered 😀 😊 😄 ohh BTW that hat looks like is my size you don't even have to send it we live in the same area I can pick it up or get together the weekend for a ride 😉😉😉🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I currently have scorpions as well on my 2020GSA and while I have been very happy with the performance, the longevity does leave something to be desired as I've only gotten 5k km out of the rear. I am having the Road6 installed tomorrow.

Rembo, interesting comparison between the original tyre and the Michelin. I’ll take the Michelin tires into consideration when I need to replace. I have done about 6.5K miles with the Pirellis but I guess on a bit heavier bike (MTS 1260 Enduro with luggage and two-up from NJ to CA and back😊.)

It's a good idea to change both front and rear. They're designed by manufacturer to both work together so having differnet brands/models F/R not a great idea 👍

I've put over 90.000 miles on this name brand tire with a smooth comfortable ride on two heavy cruisers will definitely step up to the next level 6 . Safe rides to you all !

Last year I was about to pick a new tyre for my Yamaha FZ6 Fazer (which is called simply FZ6 in the US, in Europe we had a naked variant too, that is why the Fazer name). I wanted the new Bridgestone tires which were developed with the new Tracer 9 GT, but those were not in stock. Road 5 wasn't in stock either. I ended up with Metzeler Roadtech 01 SE. So far, I love them very much, before that I had two sets of Bridgestones, and the Metzeler is better, especially in the wet. Last Friday I was able to test them in the wet. I had two small slides, one of them was on a speed bump, the other was on a half finished roundabout, when I exited, it even spun up for a bit. I guess the surface was very bad there. The rest of the ride I didn't even noticed that it was raining in terms of grip

Have had the previous Michelin PR4 (Pilot Road) they have now dropped the "Pilot" from its description. Great tyres.

I bought a Shinko 712 for $79.51 and thought I scored big time in very late 2020. After riding through Death Valley National Park in August '21 it started showing cord a day later and completely blew in Redding, CA on a Sunday. I had to stay two nights as no dealers were open on Sunday or Monday but I found a whole in the wall off road tire guy on Monday who sold me a rear Torrance for my 2013 GSA. Long story short, the cheapest man always pas the most. Had I gotten a quality tire first off I would have saved a nearly $300 tow bill, $250 in Hotel bills and would have had two extra days of my motorcycle trip touring rather than broken down. I'm never skimping on tires again especially good rain capability being here in Seattle.

The pilot 5s were the best tires i ever used on my Multistrada.

Hi Rembo. I am Mr Singh from Sunny Singapore. I love these 2 tyres. I have a 2106 BMW R1200 GSA fitted with the ST2 and a 2016 Honda NC750X currently fitted with Michelin Road 5. I can tell you the Road 5 is an exceptional tyre. I have had 1 set of Road 4 brought over from a 2015 CB400X that I got my dealer to fit on the NC when I newly got it. The stock NC tyre was and is crap and then 3 sets of Road 5. My NC is at 100k km now. I have only good things to say about the Road 5. I swear by it. It has given me very good mileage. Each set could last me 25-30 000km. My current set is at 20k km and it still doesnt look like its going to wear anytime soon. I am very excited to put up the new Road 6 when its available here in Singapore and see how that pans out. As for my GSA, it came with Michelin Anakee 3. Not bad but didnt do well in the wet twisties in Thailand. I then switched to Pirelli ST2 and boy it was a delight to ride my bike on the tar and in the gravel and sand when going off road. I even had a set of Michelin Anakee Wild when I was doing hard off roads but it didnt last too long as we had to travel on road to get to our off road sites. That took quite a bit out of the Anakee Wild. I am now spoilt for choice between the Anakee Adventure and the Road 6 for my GSA. I dont know if I am going to do any more off roading, therefore a change to road tyres might suffice. But then again I dont want to restrict myself with my tyre choice. I am going to wait a bit and look for reviews of the Road 6 on GSA. If you have any buddies willing to do that, it would make my day. I loved your video btw. Have a great day Rembo. God bless.

Excellent Tire review for an excellent product. I find the tires that have gentle curves (sipes) provide smoother transitions, tires that have sharp angled sipes may create some squirrely behavior when turning... this has to do with the thrust Vector design inherent in the tire pattern. Let us know how the front Michelin 6 Tire works out.

I love the attributes of this tire however I don’t have the time to do big miles as I don’t commute on my bike so I’d probably go with s22, bit more grip and less expensive.

I got my 2020 BMW R1250RS at the beginning of 2021. It was used with only 360 miles and I've put almost 6000 on it. It still has the original Michelin Road 4s and they've been great. I see no reason I wouldn't get the 6s when the time comes. I'd say this set has at least another 6000 miles left in them. Luckily the roads are winding here so the flat spotting isn't an issue.

I'm running Pilot Power 3s right now on my Ducati 749, but they need replacing. I am trying to decide between the Road 6's and the Power 5's. I've been caught in serious rain (mountain storms with hail...) a few times with the 3's without issue and I don't ever set out planning to ride in the rain so I'm leaning toward the Power 5's which is a pretty direct upgrade from my current tires. Still should be safe in the rain if I get caught.

"Not always in a corner"? We live in very different places! 😅 Just replacing my Road 5s with 6s because the outer soft compound zone is not just flat, but actually cupped in. Center could go for a couple thousand more if I never turned. Rode onto the far edge of that cup a couple times this week which feels pretty exciting! Turn-in feels very abrupt as well. Been on (Pilot) Roads for many years and for all-weather (rarely ices here) mountain road carving, I wouldn't touch anything else. ✌️

I'm on my 2nd set of road 6's. I have a ktm superduke GT and the rear lasts about 3000 miles. I ride briskly. They are fantastic in the wet cold conditions. The front is mega in all conditions. In the dry.The rear does move a bit when off throttle , but carrying speed through a corner. It's not that bad, it does move occasionally.

Really like the Scorpion Trail 2 on my Multi V4s, having looked around would like to try the Dunlop Mutant as a replacement. However would like to see how you get on with a Road 6 both front & rear.

Have you gone to the road 6 on the front yet? I have had the Road 6 fitted to my 2016 manual NC750X and I was really concerned that I couldn't go on gravel and dirt roads seeing as it's a 90/10 tyre. So it's ideal for on road, the real surprise was going on dirt and gravel in the wet on steep dirt roads in the wet, and there's something about this tyre that makes it extremely stable and grippy on dirt and gravel roads. They don't sit up and skate like my last road tyre tends to do, maybe it's all the grooves and the compound, but whatever it is, the tyre provides incredible traction and as a result confidence. On top of that, I have minimal wear after 5,000km, and the wear is very even across the tyre, love to hear if you have tested these tyres on and or off road. I have been pleasantly surprised at traction on all surfaces under all conditions, I can see the tyre has gone right to the edge of the sidewall when riding road, that combined with some challenging conditions on gravel road and some dirt roads, they have out performed my expectations. Seems I'm not thew only person loving the Road 6 tyre, just struggling to find people who have tried this tyre off road.

I ordered those tires for my Duke 890 R to ride off season and in colder weather. I hope it’s good.

Looks like the Road 6s took the tread from the Power 5. I’m glad they changed it because I would regularly find that angle where the 5 treads would lead to some squirreliness. Once I hear about overall longevity I’ll probably be replacing my Power 5s with these

Avon also make the new Spirit ST with a 19 inch front wheel option which i have fitted as a matched pair, they are awesome too ! big miles and all weather, inc freezing temps, grip is incredible !

I’ve been using Dunlop Roadsmart IV, and find them to be a very good tire in the twisties, and the rain. I had Angel GT before this set, and I’d say the Pirelli was quicker to turn in, but performance is similar. This is my first set of Roadsmart IV, so no idea yet on how many miles I’ll get, but they seem to be good so far. BTW, I ride a 2016 Multistrada.

Use these on my R1200RT for daily commute, good tyre for dry and wet, great grip with the stiffening for a heavy bike. Only complaint! Dam 'holes' at the end of sipes seem to attract nails like a damn magnet! I have thus far paid £230 for the rear tyre and over another £120 repairing 3 punctures from the damn holes! Dam Michelin!

I am debating getting the Michelin Road 6 for my Multistrada. I have no complaints about the OEM tire Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2s. I get bout 6k miles on the rear and about 10k miles on the front with the Pirellis. I want to see if the Michelins give more mileage.

Mixing tires is a huge no for me. Why didn’t you swap em both?

No doubt the Michelins are great tires though take a look how the Pirellis ST II aged well. If I am not mistaken they have been on the market for 5-6 years already!

I would like if you could include compliance & or road feel over bumps plus wear textures with pressures for the tyres also, ps, no hat for me as well.

Ah. I just replaced my rear tire and I was debating between the Michelin Road 5s and the Continental Road Attack 3s. I didnt know they had Road 6s. I ended up going with continentals but the Michelin ones also seemed really good.

Just put the michelins road 6 on my multi and they seems more confortable and easier to lean the bike.

Michelin makes a Road 5 Trail tire sized to fit the V4, and I'm thinking of getting those when it's time for a change. 6k miles in and my rear is about a millimeter from the wear bars in the center and has the flattening down the center. Not as religious as you are with the tire pressures I'm afraid. What tire pressure are you running?

Interesting to hear about the Michelin, they’ve made some great tyres in recent years and have been my go to for new car tyres too…..especially as my understanding is that they’re now the most ethical tyre producer from the perspective of committing to avoid using the animal products in their compounds for their entire range (unlike many others, who use tallow). They’re leading the way, and others starting to follow…… good news for everyone. Are you on your second front tyre now too? How did you find your fuel consumption on this recent long trip to TX? I’m now confident that the full akropovic exhaust is giving me better fuel mileage. Even with a passenger, and riding quite hard, with lots of gear shifts on hill climbs, I’m seeming to get an easy 190 miles on a tank without using reserve. Though of course when you climb a hill, the heavy usage is partly netted off by reduced consumption on the descent. Don’t worry about sending the hat…. I’m in the south of France - happy for someone closer to home to benefit 😃👍

Interesting that you mixed the tyres I have road 5s back an front, wouldn't ever consider different brands for either wheel ,i ride a kawasaki sx 1000 done over 7000 Road miles on this set of tyres 90% dry roads in Wales G B, really happy with them, after the absolute rubbish that the bike had on from new, think they came with Bridgestone Battle Axe 16 absolutely appalling slip an slide,they'd track road markings frightening stuff , I will go for 5s or the road 6s when I need to change, ,Still find it weird 🤔 that you mixed tyre brands , I've been riding since I was 16 I'm just coming up to 65 never used different manufacturers, 😉
