Here is the second part of my day with Ducati, this time I'm on the sickening V4S Panigale. Thankfully the roads dried out enough for my wet weather nerves to dissipate and I was down to just regular nerves. The V4S is not an emotional support bike, please judge my riding with a bit of sympathy...or just, quietly.
I'm so pleased to have finally ridden these bikes, bikes I've avoided deliberately but secretly wished to experience knowing I'd like them but it'd be a completely unrealistic bike for me to own. The V2 has its own shelf in my brain, it's up there with owning my own home and being able to get my knee down one day. The V4S has been confined to the box of 'things I should stay away from for my own good', along with indoor skydiving and horse riding...

Great video, don't put yourself down, you're a good, confident rider and don't hang about, you didn't on the Kawasaki going for chips 😂 but it's good you can discern what's best for you.

I love your videos and honesty in your videos. I guess longer legs would take them away from the engine a bit. The road conditions were a nightmare but you've got the experience with pinkie and did brilliantly.

I haven’t tried the V4 but initially I felt a similar way with the Panigale V-twin 1199. However once you get used to the experience the ride seems much more rewarding than a traditional sports bike. For me it became how I would imagine riding a classic V twin would be, with all the noise but the handling at times really is something else. It’s definitely an acquired taste that is worth persevering with but then again a 1000cc inline four is also bloody amazing!

No pressure on the media day then! You rode your own ride which is all you can ask, especially on a totally alien bike like the Ducati, and full credit to you. Kate had a spill pushing too hard on a track day with Chopsy behind and ended up with a broken finger or two (Chopsy admitted feeling a bit guilty afterwards). Keep safe and not damaged.

God the roads around there are pants. I’m in Republic of Ireland, noticed the change to crap roads even crossing the boarder into N.I. Great bike. I’m on the fence re it or the Streetfighter. Picking one this year. The heat can be mitigated with heat shield/spacers- they’re a must. Also there are better engine coolants/anti freeze. The only thing i don’t like on the Pani as stock are the mirrors. They’re rubbish, normally I’d forgive that on a sport bike, they’re all rubbish but at €30k, not forgivable Ducati. How did you find the comfort? The SF is definitely more comfortable but Ano was REALLY surprised with the Pani. FAR better than any sport bike I’ve ever sat on. Including the v2.

Don't be so hard on yourself, Ducati invited you to ride their bikes :) I've had to modify my riding jeans, with patches cut out from an insulated lunch bag, to stop the rear cylinder/ header cooking my thighs at anything less than highway speeds.

Hi to say your not worthy is kinda wrong The bike is stunning but on British roads at British speeds the bikes not happy if the bikes not happy odds on the rider wont be either great vid stay safe

They are beautiful, but I’ll never own one. I have had 2 friends own Ducati one was great and the other was nothing but trouble from day one. I was in love with the Hyper motard until I tried it. To me it was a disappointing. But still a sexy looking bike like the rest of Ducati’s

As I said, I don’t even think I woke the bike up 😂 a nice experience anyway, hopefully the bike went out on a trackday soon after to get over the trauma of me wobbling around on it
