What other plans do you have on your R53 ? I’m newly back into playing with cars. Since lockdown I now have 2 toys. I did a bit on my 50 yr old triumph herald 1360. From a £700 rusty car to a £5500 nice ride and all original . And have a 2002 mk1 mini R53. Keep watching loads of people making them track cars , originally I bought the engine but fell for the car. When i got my r53 it had a blown engine and i totally rebuilt it with new everything including rings and all seals and a good hone to the bores and a skim to the head and the block decked. it runs like a dream but the biggest mistake was not filming it. im on the look out for another blown motor to rebuild and this time film it. they are very good cars and the charger is so much more fun than a turbo. keep your car as they will go up in price. thank you for your kind comment.
Is there anything you would like to see me do? I have been thinking and my next big job will be the front sub frame strip clean paint and refit with all new ball joints and then refit.
