It just makes sense. Unless the virus is airborne and infects a huge populous, or the zeds are crazy fast, then I don't see slow shambling zombies besting any combined arms/tactical intervention. All the zombies outside of major cities would probably wither away due to exposure within a couple weeks anyways.
Ya the entire city had reached complete infection with the underground facility making it worse. The water was infected the streets were crowded with zombies, and other umbrella experiments. It's bad when the government has to quarantine an entire city, but to then having to completely destroy it through the use of a nuke. That is one bad screw up on umbrellas part.
I always thought about the mansion. Some zombies did escape it, and were mentioned- like the dogs. Sure nuking raccoon city helped destroy most of the infected. But I always thought about those who escaped the mansion, did they go back into the city or stay out in the mountains- which means the infection could’ve spread to other cities relatively fast right?
I found it a very saddening thing when raccoon city was destroyed, it was a main base and location for 6 games, only 4 of them being the main ones, but after it was gone it felt like something was missing
Heath Scamlow ehh I see your point but I feel like Resident Evil 4 was executed so perfectly that if it was a stand alone game, I'd still give it 10/10
Heath Scamlow racoon city RE games have always been the most iconic RE games for me. Everything in RE feels like it is revolving around racoon city. It's why i actually liked operation racoon city. How it returns to HD racoon coty. But now we return to racoon city for real in RE2make.
Starscream91 this is where it all truly began. RE1 was a prelude (from story scope point of view. RE1 was great). And now we relive it in more detail. The RPD for example. All rooms have been faithfully recreated. But they also added a few extra rooms and an entire exrtra floor on top.
Blighted Ashes You're an idiot if you honestly think that. Cause resident evil 4 is considered one of the best horror games ever made. And that's a fact.
Once all the military checkpoints were overrun by infected, it was all about survival at that point. Either you get out of there yourself or become zombie food. It was obvious no one was coming to rescue anyone, especially when a virus that can create giant alligator’s exists.
@@joelap.3859 Even then, all of those people that were still very much alive hid in a safe house somewhere waiting for rescue only for them to eventually get killed.
Bruh if raccoon city was a real incident A. I’d give me more of a reason to shit my pants as a kid when playing B. Irl zombie infection ? . :V the people where I live freak out over a cm of snow . Lmao most of the world ain’t ready for a bio viral epidemic, they would try to quarantine city’s but we all know how most of that goes 🙄. I’d give the world about 8+ years before the world will look like what it does in the movies , of course not saying we can’t logically make a vaccine etc . Just trying to be real here . (If the virus in the game were irl and not just the plain t virus just saying we’d all be fucked . Anything and everything could be contaminated and the c virus is airborne :/ gl trying to stave all that bs off a very low percent of us would still be around and I highly doubt they gonna be punching boulders like Chris in re5 😂) Sorry for the long comment ❤️
I always wondered how Leon and Claire from Resident Evil 2 were able to just drive into the city with no one stopping them. I mean the city appears to be completely blocked off.
+Nathan Marsh A big inconsistency, for sure. I overlook it, because I feel like the Outbreak games are far more realistic in the grand scheme of things, even if the RE2 intro was more horror-style fun. Obviously the military would have road cordons, and obviously the police and military would have been able to evacuate at least several hundred people from Raccoon City in the crisis as it occurred over an entire week and, obviously, more than one police officer would have survived. Just gotta let that one go. At least with the remake of RE2, they're suggesting more that Leon and Claire snuck through the barricades to enter the city.
How Do Ya Like Me Now, Chucklehead? why do people think it’s the Outbreak games that make this inconsistenxy, The city was already barricaded by RE3 and it starts two days before RE2.
How Do Ya Like Me Now, Chucklehead? But they did evacuate many civilians, nowhere is said that the main characters were the only ones who survived. I don't know what makes people think this.
Someone should make a replica 3D model out of Raccoon City based off all the maps throughout all the main games that take place in it. City limits, sewers and Arkley Forrest/Mountains (Mansion too) should also be included. With good graphics, a “roam around” feature, choices of background music, option to make it any time of the day from sunrise to sunset, with people normally living like it was before outbreak walking the streets and acting normal to zombies and BOW’s lurking around deserted streets. Finally, put that sucka out on the net for people to indulge in all Raccoon City nostalgia they desire.
darko _p86 Sounds like a great idea. They could also create a detective story game where private investigators are given task to investigate the grisly murders and strange behaviors of Raccoon City civilians during the time period before the escalated events of the Raccoon City incident.
And now we have a rather unfortunate turn of events. It seems that the President and the Federal Council have passed judgement over the civilians of Raccoon City. The President and Federal Council have ruled that the Bacillus Terminate operation... is the best course of action for this extreme situation and have since... executed it. Based on that fact, Raccoon City has been literally wiped off the map. Current reports have the death toll surpassing the 100,000 mark. Our hearts go out to those poor civilians... of Raccoon City.
Great footage of this event. ;) I can always hear the tune of RE3 Staffs & Credits Theme in my mind after watching Raccoon City unfortunate destiny. So many memories playing this back in 1999-2000... Long live Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Thanks! ;)
Actually a lot of people escape in the Outbreak games. The RPD, RFD and military manage to evacuate hundreds of people via airlift, train and bus before the emergency services collapse. This seems like a far more likely outcome in a situation such as this.
Don't know what you are smoking but you should give it up. There have been many successful and good games after the destruction of Racoon City. RE7 was not one of them though.
April 30, 2018----And just like in the real world, those who made the decision to nuke Raccoon City would be safely tucked away in their govt. shelters just in case.
In the real world, they wouldn't have to use nukes. Ever heard of the MOAB, we don't have to leave the place radioactive. They use nukes in the story for added drama, obviously it works like a charm.
@@Zillionjape Maybe we can expand on it more. If we are not getting an RE 8 then atleast the RE3 Remake should add a DLC where there survivor escapes just hours before the order to level Raccoon City happened. Would be cooler if they make it a free FPS DLC
Always remember: The US military destroyed Raccon at least partly to cover up their involvement in the outbreak. And by the time of the most recent animated series, this is still not known to the public.
The ending of RE3 Nemesis is the best, and the most famous, coupled with the backsound credit scene that feels like a... hard to put into words, just try it yourself
And the angel of the Lord said to him, “Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to oppose you because your way is perverse before me.
I always wondered what kind of experiments continued at Raccoon ground zero after the the fact? Research on the virus exposed to radiation? Contined clean up of the remaining G mutants... wish I knew haha
Cool raccoon city is the popular saga well I also like raccoon city to fight all zombies and monsters years ago I retire after raccoon city wipeout after the remake it's time to come out of my retirement I piling up the zombies and ready for nemesis to come who else ready for April 3rd 2020

Somebody should re-upload this video to add another destruction of the city in RE3 Remake and most importantly Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City because of the cow it was hilarious.
I’ve wonder, if the crowd were infected wouldn’t they have migrated else wear, as if the zombies escaped the mansion to got into town did any of them head away from town.
