I’d like to learn more about the sunspot cycles, or solar cycles , some info on how or what cycle were in , and what method they use to predict DX ,, and is there a website to go to , to get a DX forecast ,, etc and etc There’s an idea if everyone doesn’t find it too boring 👍

Gonna have to tune in more to 40m. I've been floating around the other bands alot lately. Hopefully be able to catch you on the band. As always, I appreciate the videos. Oh, man I've been eye balling your coffee mugs...might be time to spring and buy one. Here's a question for you. What's your take on dstar, fusion ect.....? Always interested in seeing what other hams have to say.

What is the state of CB radio in the current SHTF / prepped situations in the world today? I haven’t thought about CBS since I last watched smokie and the bandit. The. A jeep owner enlightened me that 4 wheelers still use them in the boonies. Lately I’m looking at communication options if phones/ internet go down, what a topic! Way more that I anticipated…thoughts anyone?

Todd, a high power SSB CB cranking about 50 watts or more is critical emergency communications. Get a 10M export radio like the Lincoln 2+, and order it converted to 11M (CB). Also critical is a dual-band 2M/70CM Ham radio that can be MARS modified to transmit out of band. With a MARS modified dual band you can use it on marine, MURS, VHF and UHF business, and GMRS. A GMRS license, 50w GMRS mobile radio, and a few 5w handheld radios could be critical in an emergency. Add a Ham license and you have all the bases covered.
