Pay attention to the orientation of the black rubber gasket when removing the original! It's asymmetric and I couldn't find instructions on which way to use it.
Thanks for posting. I’ve heard you shouldn’t use a torque wrench to unscrew things. Not sure though. Personally I use grease from a tube for any bearings because it is less likely to have dirt in it.
@@kinkaid25 That's weird. There's still a little movement in mine and I have rebuilt mine one time. It's not noticeable while riding but if I look at the axle and the pedal and wiggle it there's some play but not much.
@@unogazzy84, I will definitely check for play in the pedals over the coming months and report back if my pedals do the same. Why didn’t you get them replaced under RaceFace Warranty? That’s what i would have done, especially on pedals like these that are being fitted to $10,000 plus bikes. I had Atlas pedals on my Yeti Sb160 and didn’t find any play at the start but did have minute play after about 12 months of riding.
@@NonLegitNation2 I don't live in the US and the color of grease isn't something I understand. I guess that the color is specific for some sort of use but I don't know what.
@@unogazzy84 Yeah I don't think the color matters but I think the red color just means it for high temperature grease atleast that's what comes up when I google red grease. You can use any kind of bearing grease and it will work. But if you were interested the grease I used is called Mag1 Bearing grease. I use it on everything on my bike, the pedals, bottom bracket, headset, wheel hubs, it works great.
