In this video I take you along as I replace the cooling fan assembly on my 07 Ford Edge equipped with a 3.5L engine. The process is strait forward. The way I do it involves disconnecting the upper radiator hose from the radiator in order to free up some room to gain access to the bolt just beneath the hose. Disconnecting the upper radiator hose from the radiator also helps make it easier to get the radiator fan assembly out of the vehicle. But, as mentioned in the video, you don't necessarily have to disconnect the hose to get the fan assembly out. It can be done without disconnecting the hose.
Here is a link to a video showing how to vacuum fill a cooling system:

As mentioned in the video I would recommend performing a pressure test to the cooling system to ensure that there are not leaks. I'd suggest doing a search on how to perform a cooling system pressure test for information on how to do this. There are a lot of really good videos and information out there. Good morning enjoy your videos. I have a question regarding the evap purge solenoid that you replaced on a a Pontiac 3800 7 years ago. The solenoid has 2 tips where you attach the vacuum hoses. One has a long plastic tube with a little section of rubber hose that goes over the plenum or valve cover. Where does the other hose connect to as its missing. Does it connect to the throttle body somewhere? I have looked all over the internet and in the service manual and it’s not very clear. Unfortunately your video didn’t show the hoses. Appreciate all your videos 👍

Looks like at the very beginning of that video there is a pretty good image of the hoses. One goes towards the throttle body direction and the other goes over the intake towards the rear of the engine compartment.

Are you referring to the hose that goes over the plenum towards the back of the engine compartment?

@@BarboursAutoHelp there are 2 one on the passenger side that is a long plastic tube with a rubber tip small piece of vacuum hose. That one is there. The solenoid has 2 tees and one is missing the vacuum hose and I have no idea where it connects to. I have the service manual and have looked online but it’s not very informative. It looks like it may connect to the throttle body but not sure. If you look at your video you will notice the solenoid has 2 fittings. Thanks

@HotRod-wv4vm yes I looked at the video. There are two tits with a hose going to both. One goes just behind or to the side of the throttle body and one goes behind the engine. It’s shown at the very beginning of the video. Which one are you talking about?
