Made a black PCB like yours in 2022. A hell of fun once you stock up all parts. I'm awaiting red PCB to arrive in next few days since I decided to made another one at much slower pace. Just a few hints: use only machined round pin sockets, pick Nichichon bipolar electrolitic in audio section and at least gold series for 1000 mF trio. Good luck!

Thanks for the comment and tips. Round pins sockets the machined ones I will look into but they aren’t the best to socket chips in lol 😂 Will need to get a pin straightener.

If you can afford to and have the time these are VERY satisfying. A word of warning though. Long long long lead times on a couple of components and make sure you put things like resistor packs and capacitors the right way around. Organising before you start will benefit you later. Neil what I liked about your video is the re-touching of what you soldered. It's a useful tip to anyone starting.

Hi yeah retouching my the joints is always a good thing to do better make sure it’s soldered better do it first time round for sure. 👍 thanks for the tips I’ll take them on board of course. Doing these things you always learn more and more. Like the print out bom sheet helped me a lot wish I’d done that before lol 😂. Thanks for your comment :)

Good start Neil. I've been slowly (actually VERY slowly) collecting parts for mine (very different board). I had been planning to build it all at once, but maybe doing it in parts would be a better way, and maybe more incentive to get on with it!...
