Yes. We like to walk down from the head into Salcombe (a good walk for dogs too) for lunch at a waterside fish restaurant. On a sunny day out of season, it's hard to beat

I’ve heard amazing things about MSFS, but I’ve never used it 😮 Is Spire View airstrip included on the program?

I had to look/hunt for Spire View it was not marked on the MFS World map quite a lot of small strips are. It is not a study level airfield but pretty accurate. You have to download buy study fields like Compton abbas which is exactly like the real thing by Burning blue designs. MFS is amazing and a new 24 model is coming out next year.. @@FlyingDarkLord

@@FlyingDarkLord Was most of my life in BOH-EGHH & worked there also & then had to get out of the UK for my wifes health (Asthma, & diesel being her main problem ) so spent most of time on Crete, Greece until I lost her & last year returned back home & at present just west of Yeovil. & I have joined the local Strut at Henstridge, I must come & visit Priory View.

I’m sorry to hear about your wife 😔 Henstridge is a lovely airfield. I’ve been there a couple of times, it’s not far from where I live. The next time I fly there I’ll try & get in touch 😊👍🏼

Chris was a great chap! He was really welcoming & gave me loads of information. I did film the departure although the cameras didn’t last the entire trip back so I’m not sure whether or not to make that into a video 🤔 I think the approach was more impressive than the departure as my nose was pointed at the sky on climb out & I was concentrating on avoiding the noise abatement areas so didn’t get to enjoy the view… but the cameras did capture it 🥳 I’d definitely recommend Bolt Head!!!
