Superb high-quality tennis in this classic battle between two of the greatest tennis players of all time. At the time Roger Federer (No1) had won 48 straight matches on grass courts (2003-2007) and Rafael Nadal (No2) had 72 wins in a row on clay (2005-2007). The match was played in the capital city of Nadal's home island, Palma de Mallorca, in front of a home crowd at Palma Arena.

Facts about this match: -This is the craziest tennis exhibition ever -This is the only exhibition of top players that I rembember where they actually play serious, like in an atp500 or a masters 1000 match -The grass had very low quality, when the ball hit the medium centre it barely bounce. You can see that didn't happen in other spots.

Wouldn't it be nice to have an official tournament with all types of surfaces and the matches for the players would be randomly set up for different surfaces? That would be interesting and the tournament would be like a grandslam level.

The clay had the same advantages as before but the grass few days before the match was worm infested and so even after efforts couldn't retain moisture and was very different from the original, but Roger still won a set and made it so tight match.. Truly the greatest ever... 🙌

Este tipo de partido sobre superficie mixta debería ser implementado en el último Grand Slam del año, con la diferencia que en la primera etapa se enfrentan todos en una superficie dura/arcilla, la siguiente dura/gras, la tercera gras/arcilla, después se repetiría desde la cuarta etapa dura/arcilla y así. Ese sería un TREMENDO Grand Slam. Ganaría el tenista con mayor adaptabilidad, el poseedor de un juego más todoterreno.

Off course because nadal has the time to hit his shot as the ball slows up good for him and a good height for him to crush the ball.

最高の発想だけど、クレー側有利ですよねw サーブもストロークもボレーも相手が取る球は早くなって、自分が取る際は遅くなってくれる 両者遅くなる中での駆け引きがクレーの醍醐味ですからね
