Here in CA, the co-opting of Japanese culture is so rampant that this may have been the last movie Hollywood made that actually starred Japanese "actors" (Tokyo Drift, anyone?). fun fact is they actually used proper swordsmen ship while making the final show down and for me in return for that its one of the best sword fights ive seen in cinema... hell they actually brought in (i forget the name of a japanese swordsmanship master) master who help choreographed the entire fight
There's a recent episode of "Workaholics" where Dolph does a guest appearence and briefly mentions that he got to "Eat fish off those naked chicks" when he did the movie. lol
Master Tatsu is played by Obata Toshihiro. And he is an expert at Shinkendo (swordsmanship) and Aikijutsu. And the “you have the right to be dead” scene is beyond glorious!
This movie was my entire childhood! Unfortunately, I was one of those kids that was actually, quite literally, raised by cable television in the early 90's while my one remaining parent was at work. So I truly believed that all that dude-bro, cringy as hell 90's 'tude was how I needed to act in reality if I wanted to be a badass. And you know goddamn good and well I did! Then I discovered this movie and the two actors who I tried to be just like and trained (by myself, even then I couldn't bring myself to practice "karate" in front of friends) to become a martial arts master, which would allow me to go on the kind of adventures only legends such as Van Damme or Don "The Dragon" Wilson could find. I was such a dipshit as kid, but at least films like this remind me that pretty much everyone was lol.
Now U haft to review Big Trouble in Little China, the 1st 3 die-hards, Mission in Action trilogy, Silent Rage, Under Siege, above the Law, Escape from New York, last action hero, Miami Connection, Rambo movies, over the top, point break, bad boys trilogy, the raid: redemption, Dredd,, Hard target, and speed.
this movie is really fun and I love its comic book style action and its one of my favorite Dolph lundgren movies along with I come in peace and the punisher

DAT HENTAI CLIP THOUGH. XD In all seriousness, as bad and cheesy as this movie is, it's still a fun watch and I wouldn't change a frame of it. It's funny, it's got action, it's got synth looping, and it's got Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee. It's as 80s as it gets, and I love it XD Also every time i watch it now I'm gonna hear Razör's commentary XD And I will be laughing all the harder for it.

I saw this as a kid back in the mid 90's because it followed a horror movie I recorded, It became a regular on my watch list. It's bad but enjoyably so.
