I had the pleasure of seeing Rahsaan once in concert. up close, second row. what he does on that stage, WOW. really hits every part. it makes me unable to sit still. magic

Chaka has ALWAYS loved Rahsaan and the love has been mutual. It's crazy how much of a fan he is yet they are connected on a spiritual/personal level. Amazing!

He is the love child of Stevie & Chaka in my head. All 3 are my all time favorites so I love hearing him in awe of her. She is music!

I love the way Rahsaan talks about other musicians and singers, he is Great at it!

I agree. Arif brought out the fire in her that she only flirted with on the Rufus albums. "Chaka" and "Street Player" sounded like two different kind of singers.

Oh wow he referenced "Twisted" from her '82 album. I agree, the passion in that song is unmatched. Possibly my favorite Chaka track.

This song! But ALL the album cuts off Ask Rufus. Close The Door, Better Days, Earth Song, Magic In Your Eyes. Chaka is my favorite. I have the Rufus featuring Chaka Khan logo (the lips) tattooed on my arm.

whenever I hear Chaka Khan singing something....ANYTHING....its sorta emotional, because I hear a woman is totally free and honest about who and what she is. Which is to say, given how much her appearance has fluctuated and changed, she could just stay home or record music, without doing concerts. But no matter how much weight she's lost or gained...or how many times, she's relapsed...she STILL shows up for life. She's a life force...thats what is. And that voice, is untouchable. She does a rendition of "To Sir, With Love" at a Sidney Poitier tribute that was televised, many yrs ago. She was in top form, and LOUD. Id advise anybody who likes her, to search it on YT.

Rahsaan is on the money. Letting go in a song is key and something you really only hear from the greats ding from early 2000’s and back on in the 40’s and 50’s.
