I love both Rahsaan and Van. My auntie hipped me to both in the early to mid 00s when she and my uncle were putting out Rahsaan's stuff on their label Dome Records. So glad she did!

My favorite Van Hunt song by far is "What Can I Say" (for Millicent) the lyrics guide you to another sphere of reality. It's a Rembrandt to music!

Rahsaan should be huge but that's the idiotic music industry; let me stress, industry, like a machine. Spits people out and doesn't have concern about the side effects, usually involving death of the charactor and that object called soul: far away even when it looks close.
