In 2010, Pete Carroll came to Seattle as an epically successful college head coach with a mediocre NFL résumé. After Week 4 of the 2010 season, Carroll and newly acquired GM John Schneider orchestrated a trade that brought Marshawn Lynch to Seattle. Despite the red flags associated with Lynch, the trade would become a monumental acquisition and an integral part of a forthcoming change in culture for the organization. Within one year, Carroll had changed the football landscape in the northwest. Here's how he did it.

Carroll wasn't given a chance in hell coming into Seattle, but Mora had it even tougher: Ruskell broke up the best right side in football when he let Hutchinson go to Minnesota; then Alexander got hurt and never returned to '05 form again- making them rely on a consistently average Matt Hasslebeck to lead the offense.

Thank god for Mora. He lost just the right amount of games and filled in just long enough for Caroll to walk in and have the draft positioning and freedom to rebuild that he needed to succeed. Jim Mora filling in was the best thing to happen to the seahawks. haha. If Mora won another game it might have screwed up that awesome draft, if he won a few more they might have kept him instead of going after Caroll.

Excellent documentary. Well put together and it captured the beginning of the Seahawks legacy we see today. Pete Carrol was the right choice at the right time. These were the seeds that grew into a Super Bowl Champion and team to be dealt with year in and year out. Carrol will go down as the best coach the Seahawks ever had. I've always liked the Seahawks. Their games was on here on the East Coast at least 3 -5 times a year. So I got to enjoy their style when the had Zorn, Largent, Smith, running trick plays, blocking punts, and that crowd at the Kingdome was always crazy. The Ground Chuck years was good, espescially when they knocked off Miami. Even though they lost the Championship game, it was understood the Seahawks are real and dangerous. So I liked them a long time and was very happy that they win consistently.

I turned 29 yrs old on Oct 5th, 2010, and learning about the trade that brought us Beastmode was a great "gift"!

Pittsburg was given a Gift Championship, I'm from Boston, born and raised and same goes for my family and have been Season Tickets holders since 67' and I've been going since 95' and The Seahawks were absolutely robbed of that Super Bowl like I've never seen before, it was so damn obvious too, every single good play they made was called back by penalty, Pure Bullshit!! Seattle deserved that Championship..... NOT the Steelers!!

Great Episode! Beast Quake helped get that Wild Card Victory but it's easy to forget, in what turned out to be his final game in Seattle in a Seahawks uniform, Hasselbeck had one of the best games of his career in that game. After the early INT, which is arguably not on him, he played like a man possessed.

I absolutely remember Week 17 Matthew was out with a injury then came in QB Clipboard Jesus Wich he played solid and helped us get into the Playoffs 👍
