If anyone is reading this and you play Rain in casual his banned move is a must have, not only because of its utility but the cancel can extend combos (a bit like hellfire scorpion in mkx) for above average damage. Its really good.
He’s not kidding about Rain, he’s a very tricky and hard character to play as. The only thing I wish NRS would’ve done is give him a combo that ends in a roundhouse kick with a KB similar to Fujin’s 11U3 and Shang Tsung’s super kick. Those Krushing Blows look like you can follow up with a combo and Rain looks like the only one who utilizes his roundhouse kicks the fullest.
I think I've only lost to one rain in KL before, and it was by a pro player. The character doesn't have many gimmicks and unreactable special moves, which makes up a huge part of kombat league.
I can do without Geyser Palm, it’s nice to have but really it’s only useful for extending 133 but there are ways around that Anti airing is extremely hard in this game and rain has some solid alternative that lead to more without meter I think a move like Tidal Wave is more vital for Rain to help with mixups, pressure, AND neutral
I was using geyser palm and water ball then now I swapped water ball for edenian force and hydro boost. He feels a lot better up close now. Thanks Azerbaijan!
My fave charecter but I can never get a combo in ama go back to my main scorpion for a while untill I saw this vid am determined to get better as rain if I can't it's either scorpion or nightwolf for me ill have to practice nightwolf and if he dosent work I geuse ill just have to stay as scorp for ever
Sadly, he's an character who is still in dire need of buffs. Calling him one of the strongest characters in MK11 is laughable. I get you're making a guide and have to be professional, but the dude is mid-low tier at best.
@@precision_peter684 Literally no one is going to put Rain as a high tier character on a tier list. Just because a professional player is amazing with a certain character doesn't mean that character is strong.
@@Lord_Talha you’d be surprised at how some people ranked him high with specific setups, sure he’s not part of the top 5 unfortunately but he isn’t terrible either.
Purple Pain and Water Bubble are viable moves that are incredibly fun, but they’re just not worth taking 2 slots unfortunately But they pair extremely well with a move like Tidal Wave!
