@@GRUBB-MUDD I've always enjoyed pouring big sets of stairs the end result is always rewarding not many people understand how big stair pours work. I have plenty of people asking advice on pouring their own stairs and I always give them as much advice as I can tell them it typically takes a skilled worker and wish them the best. I've always liked how you put stone face liner on all your work with stairs and more.

Hi Juan , just found your channel and I've been enjoying catching up on some of your pours . I've worked in Kitsap county for decades and know all the players (Gordon B. / Tony T. / Gunns / etc.) Hope things are going well for you in paradise . This one looked a little rough with all that warm rain . I was checking out your drive out to the site through all that mud and was thinking there was no way a 70,000 pound mixer was going to make it to the slab , but lo & behold , you boys got the trucks in... i am over 50 and i rake like a boss. did a big job yesterday. that size job we would have 2 rakers. me who is over 51 years old and my nephew who is 45. both over six foot 3 inches and huge huge guys. we would rake that with 2 guys like beasts. no joke. i am 6 foot 3 and strong as a ox and 250 pounds. my nephew who rakes is 6 foot 5. both of us rake like beasts. we have done a few crazy big jobs with 2 other rakes. but us old guys outdo the guy who hare half our age. no joke. i am sore today for sure. but ya we tear it up

@@thatjuanshow4485 yep. have a good one. i am a bmx stunt rider who lived in oregon on mt hood and filmed hundreds of snowboarding videos at the lodge from the movie the shining movie. on mt hood. so i have broke tons of bones doing bmx stunts for years and many crashes are in videos. but snowboarding also so being a old battered guy that has broke about everything or dislocated stuff over and over. crete for sure pushes me. i still can do raking good but i get sore for sure. dont think i will do it at 60 lol. but for a few more summers i think i can.

I have never poured concrete before, but am doing a huge slab on Wednesday. My boss ordered 178 yards and expects to use every bit of it. The guys told me that I will be one of a few guys running a rake, so I am trying to figure out what is going to be expected of me. Wish me luck!

Thanks for checking out my channel 🤙🏽. What's going to be expected of you is just to be constantly moving that rake and trying to get it to grade before the screed the concrete. As long as you stay busy not leaning against your rake and make sure everything stays clean while your not raking you'll be good bro.
