Nothing stopped them from calling 911 and it’s ludicrous to expect people (especially the elderly) to risk their own life to render aid when they couldn’t know who shot who, or how many dangerous people were around. The term “hero” exists because not everyone can be one.

Did those incidents happen in the same state, under the same DA? Are the circumstances and injuries identical? No reasonable person would shoot (at) someone for knocking on their door or parking in front of their house. In Tennessee, there are two elements to attempted murder charges: the offender has to take a direct action (shooting someone, stabbing, poisoning, for example) and intent to kill. We know the shooter took a direct action, but proving his intent will be challenging. Was he trying to scare him or kill him? Which lawyer will make the most convincing case? If the shooter has a history of violence, that might work in the prosecutor's favor.

But yet Merritt said Ralph "accidentally" rang a doorbell. Well of he was picking up his brothers, he didn't ring the doorbell accidentally. Remember, when the video came out of Ahmaud arbery running, Merritt said the video clearly showed him jogging. But at that time merrit would have already k own that Ahmaud in that video was not "jogging". He was being chased. Merrit tried to create a narrative that ahmaud was merely out jogging. As far as Ralph's case, it may we turn out that Ralph was not just ringing the door bell but actually attempting to force entry. If the homeowner has no idea what is going on, they would be within their rights to open fire. This is why you should always wait for the trial along with the information that comes out before the trial so that you don't work yourself up into a frenzy over lies told by white supremacist puppets like merrit.
