I was going to trade in my 2017 Durango RT AWD for the latest version but I looked at the sticker and laughed. I’ll keep what I got . They think we are all FOOLS?
Stellantis hasn’t noticed that “normal” people do not want an all electric anything. They go all EV, they will go broke. I cannot fathom paying $80,000 for any vehicle…..hell, I think $40,000 is too much.
They have simply stopped making a vehicle I wish to buy. I don't want 4 doors, I want an 8 foot box, I need nothing for options.................... they either don't make them, or they sell them immediately.
Prices should be exactly what it says on the manufacturers website. Dealer fees, tax and title included in that price. If there's a sale it should be advertised on the website and you can go to the dealer and get it at that price. No more having to negotiate or argue with dealerships.
@doom4067 That's not a problem at all. Everytime you buy something online out of state, they automatically charge you your state sales tax. They will know the costs for each state.
that is the exact reason my partner and i haven't purchased new since 2018(Wrangler)...we hate the dealership experience...it's not pleasant at all...high pressure tactics, hidden fees and hours to make a purchase...and the uneasy feeling that we somehow got ripped off when we finally make a purchase.....as long as our current Wrangler has no major issues (it hasn't so far)...we are staying away.
@@michelle-lz8tg Smart way to go. We've been looking for a new truck for 5 years... still looking. The feeling of being ripped off is common, for valid reasons of course.
Stellantis...overcharging for unreliable, troublesome, and junky vehicles. Buyers who have not already wasted their money on one...have "gotten smart."
Absolutely, I just said Pretty much the same thing that you just said but over on TK's Garages channel. These people want us to pay them money to literally us for inferior products. I am happy with my Mazda CX-5 and plan on keeping it for a long time.
You hit the hammer directly on the nail, the OEM's wasn't listening to the consumers. Making garbage the buyers don't want and or can't afford. It's way too late for direct sale to buyers, you can thank the stealerships for that.
If Stellantis were smart they would dump everything from CDJR except the wrangler and ram. Then drop the prices on those two by 30% to compensate for the trash quality.
@@Vincent-ke5zn they haven’t been going down - every Jeep product has always been horrible. People just overlook it because you can pull the roof and doors off.
Being old and debt free I’m in the minority and I could afford one of these vehicles. Manufactures big problem is people like me don’t need these vehicles and simply refuse to overpay for them. That and most of my younger friends are underwater on their loans from getting ripped off during Covid. When they go to trade they owe $6k to $8k more than the vehicle is worth. Sucks for them but sucks even more for dealers and manufactures who are at least 3 to 5 years minimum before these customers are back in the market. Don’t even get me started on interest rates.
One of your best videos yet. Another point is the insurance bump of buying a new vehicle. EV's are even worse, and they are jacking up the price on all vehicles to accommodate the change.
@@subaruamazon Yes Labor is like 5-6% of a vehicles cost And if thst means a vehicle’s price goes up $400 so other Americans have a good job in fine with that Problem is corporate profits, not revenue have skyrocketed. That’s corporate greed
We're a lower income family so I bought a base model Corolla, the most popular gasoline powered car in the world, so parts are cheap and available and with my trade-in I bought it new for under 20 thousand dollars. I just can't afford " house " money to pay for a lousy truck or jeep.
I used to love Jeeps, I’ve owned a couple. Now they’re over engineered junk full of computer systems. Someone give us a simple inexpensive 4x4 to go exploring with
Anybody making less than $250,000 a year has a 0.0% chance of purchasing one of these, especially at today's interest rates. Of course the dumb ones are but how many bankruptcies can the dumb ones endure?
I'm going to continue to wait to get a new truck. I'm not paying 50k for a mid level "v6" Bighorn 1500 with some options. Yet I keep seeing dealers here in Ohio with litterally 100's and 100's or Rams, per dealer, just rotting on the lots. Kinda sad to see all those trucks sit there but with high prices it makes you mad and you just want them to rot even nore.
It's $44k for base model 2 door jeep wrangler sport with zero upgraded options out the door. I want one, but I'm not paying that much unless it's a willys with the few options I want.
@@Iceman-bu1egsub 30k Jeeps would be sweet. Carlos needs to realize I’d love a gladiator, but I can’t afford a gladiator. Because I’m just a normal Joe who’s making $18 a hour in a inflated economy. Honestly don’t even think financing 20k is doable with the interest rates and high prices. Imma just settle for a cheap car and save for a good time
Jeep is mostly a 'want' buy, not a 'need' buy. I have wanted a Jeep for almost 3 years and I will continue to want a Jeep until the price becomes reasonable
I would love to buy a new RAM 1500. I actually have the money too. But I just ain't gonna pay $90k, and then by the time I register and insure it, I'm at $100k. That's just nuts, totally unreasonable.
Stelantis need to realize in the EU you can drive almost to any country in half a day to a full day. In Ontario Canada if you start driving from Toronto west in 2 days you're still in Ontario lol. EV's just aren't feasible in NA.
Back in the pre stellantis days of basic transportation like the Dodge Grand Caravan, it seems like Chrysler group had a lot more going for it because they sold affordable, basic transportation. Their other problem was leaving the same models for 10 or so years without any real changes or mid cycle refreshes, so things got stale.
back in the day, jeeps were priced for those who were younger and just starting out in the world...now they are priced so that only someone with a guaranteed job with a golden parachute pension could afford...the name "jeep" is not seen as a luxury brand in the public eye..
The owner of the dealer where I work had a chrysler and a gm dealer. He let go the chrysler franchise in 2020 and sold all the inventory to an other chrysler dealer across the street. He only kept the GM dealer. Best decision he ever done. He saw the storm for chrysler coming and he was tired of the way chrysler handle things.
Way too expensive for me even the cheaply made Hornet and low end jeep at 48K is way beyond what i want to spend. Im keeping my paid for cars and trucks and i am buying food and household expenses and saving very little. I dont want a vehicle payment anymore ever w/high insurance. No fricken EV's i hate them things absolutely useless.
Recently purchased a new midsize truck and would have considered a gladiator except they wanted $50k for a base sport model while I could get a zr2 Colorado loaded for just a little more. Stellantis can rot.
Ohhhkkaayyy. I have now seen everything. $90k for a freaking Wrangler!?!? I’m gobsmacked, how in the name of Walter P Chrysler can they justify that price for a Wrangler. Is it solid gold underneath, free gas for life? Otherwise it’s insane! You could buy a new Corvette for that kind of money
Yeah we’ve had 3 rams it’s time to move on which is really annoying because we really enjoy the brand but those prices are insane on other hand that Chevy Trail boss is looking pretty sweet a full sz truck with incentives 🧐
Every truck is over priced at minimum $15k and as much as $35k which blows my mind. I;m talking gas. I would never pull the trigger on any EV car or truck, don't want one if it was free. Never will.
I never get the point of trucks worth over 40k even if it offers some nice bells and whistles unless its a super performance truck like the TRX and Raptor. Those jeeps are far from being worth over 40k with mediocre quality
Why can't we have the New Toyota Hilux champ in North America ? No frills, a basic truck. Sure it's not the size of a semi but most of us don't need that.
Stellantis has 700 plus mile EV that use a Deisel engine to charge the battery. That maybe a game changer for the company. The rolling coal idea is for a tiny portion of the population and not important. Hyundai/Kia EV sales are way up this year and its Georgia plant will pass Tesla sales in north America.
I have a 2015 Jeep Renegade, Should never have bought it! 4x4 is an AWD System, many problems with Radio and Engine Coilovers. Just horrible, and don't get me started on the Transmission/Engine! I want a Wrangler Rubicon X, but who the hell can afford that at $85,000 CDN?!
The new TFL video shows Stellantis earnings for Q1 and Q2. According to the earnings statement, sales aren't as bad as you think. Yes, most sales are down, but not by much. Also, some sales are way up. Not sure if what you are doing on this channel is a real representation of their actual sales. It doesn't look good what you are showing and I totally get it.
What happens? The customers say bump that!Let me tell you something: there's heavy competition right now in North America especially the US as prices plummet!I still say that if you wait till next year you will get a great vs. this year you will get a good deal. You cannot get a good deal with a new car at all with the exception of Accord Hybrid which is underpriced by a longshot. The used car market prices have plummeted but not the new cars. You can get a used car with low mileage for a great price which is really got me excited.
Gotta charge a fortune for this metal to compensate Carlos Tavares’ salary. C’mon man … look what good he’s done for the brand and the employees. BS … Keep on pace & the only thing these vehicles will be good for are paper weights. People can’t afford these vehicles. DON’T buy one? I guess if you’ve got the $ you can find 2023 models for as much as 20% off but …. “IF” Stellantis would drop the price 50% would be a game changer.
It appears that CDJR is working on the premise of quantity over quality while trying to increase profit by continually manufacturing low quality vehicles with high, unattainable prices. The rejection of EV's in general is waned and yet, they continue to push this "incentive" because they get financial incentives from the Government to produce a product that has low sales. One can speculate that the CDJR business model is NOT working. The have melded two axioms together: "Let them eat cake" and "The emperor has no clothes".
This is gonna be a case where the manufacturer cannot cover the ev losses by jacking up prices. They’re gonna have to eat the ev drain and get the prices down for real vehicles, because if they’re thinking that they jacked the prices of real vehicles high enough, we’d all go for evs. Nope, cause evs SUCK! I would rather keep my 06 Audi and put money in a car I love than buy an overpriced piece of 💩 with a 10 speed automatic transmission that belongs in a semi and has a payment that is more than the last house I bought. Hell no! Stellantis you really screwed up by canceling the Charger because you were selling a ton of them to the cops, Feds and other law enforcement agencies to keep the factories open right there. If you think that we are gonna buy those craptacular evs, you have noodles for brains
Dodge/RAM will be out of business in North America within 5 years, overpriced vehicles and this insane push to all electric. No one want’s electric vehicles at all, if they could put out an affordable, reliable non plugin Hybrid they may be able to save themselves.
It depends where. We sold all the Hummer EV that we received at our dealer the same week we got them. But I do see some dealer that are stock with some.
@@lordrayden3045 I just saved an 81 aircooled VW van from the scrapyard, simple to fix and repair, all EVs will be dead in 5-10 years and cause pollution, lithium batteries don't last very long, I fix laptops on the side and the batteries die in 5-10 years...
Every video for weeks has been predicting the downfall of the Big 3. When are they gonna fail? I like these videos but I’m not getting anything new and nothing seems to be changing.
If you do heavy hauling for long distances get an ice vehicle. If not get a Tesla, safer, cheaper, quicker and better handling, near zero maintenance cost, less likely to catch fire than ice vehicles, very difficult to roll over, have the worlds top selling vehicles, most American content of all vehicles. Don’t believe unsubstantiated lies on line.
Stellantis lies. I don't see any Dodge Chargers on the lot, when were they supposed to be released? It seems the moroccan engineers are slipping behind on the Jeep electronics, not just on new models.
There are no gas stations in the woods either. Didn’t hear you mention the Cyber truck is currently the best selling pickup in America. The most American content too. Only lies from vids like this keep those who have no experience with ev’s buying expensive ice vehicles that are much more expensive not as safe and more likely to catch fire per actual nhtsa data.
