@@Wimya you just lost a viewer. And ion give a damn about Joe. It’s just you can’t help but make a video about a truck political and in a disrespectful way. Just a tip: keep things less political because you want fans from both sides
@@Quon6810 Wtf are you talking about? There is LITERALLY NOTHING political about my video. No mention of politics at all. You’re acting like a RU-vid Karen over what? A comment made by someone you’ll never personally know or meet? I’m personally not concerned by loosing a bigot viewer. Have a great day ✌🏼
Man, I must of watched 50 + videos so far but yours are really down to the point. I’m testing TRX this weekend and then we’ll see. Thanks for doing this 🙌
I just stumbled upon your channel right now and I have been trying to catch up with all of your TRX content. I did not even know that it was possible to order a BASE model TRX for a great and reasonable sticker price. I mean, like you said in your other video about being a TRX peasant, I am the same haha. But that definitely helps knowing you could do such option, personally I feel the same way about just having 1 special feature as opposed to the whole upgraded- $100,000 truck! sick content.
Thanks bro I appreciate the love!! I think dealers keep quiet about the base since Its a great way to get into the TRX without totally breaking the bank!
@@Wimya I will most definitely take note of that. Right now I drive a 2021 sr5 tacoma, but in a few years I'm planning on getting any ram 1500 (hopefully the TRX).. but now knowing that the base model is more efficient, it seems more attainable. I like the mods you threw on it too; because at the end of the day, it is still a sick looking TRX.
Great honest video! I absolutely love the TRX and that's coming from A Raptor guy. I love the Raptor off roading a tad bit better but the TRX is insane on the pavement. You have a beautiful truck brother... 👊
Great video - I am thinking of buying a TRX and very concerned given I have never owned a Ram Truck and only have had GMC and Ford. Thanks for the review video.
Took delivery of my 2022 TRX on October 29 and have 980 miles on it... parked in my garage while I'm in Florida until mid April. Only problem was a loose window washer spray hose on passenger side under hood insulation pad. Fixed in 15 minutes...no charge.
Great Vid man thanks for the info. Crazy out there. found a dealer and got my base model 5K below MSRP. can't wait for it to come in. thanks for showing base model info only person I could find that order the "PEASANT MODEL"
Big fan of the page, that base interior doesn’t get enough credit. I pick up my level 1 Thursday and being in PA I needed the heated seats. Pretty bummed I couldn’t get the full red and black interior with that trim option. That really needs to change
Hello there, thanks for the video and really nice looking truck, yesterday I drove 140 miles to go test drive a TRX which is hard to do these days no one let you drive anything and I’ve been wanting one so badly, I’m a Jeep guy and I was debating between the 392 Jeep or the TRX, I love the truck but when I got to the dealer they had a used one and they sprayed oil all the interior down with oil it was terrible but oil got all over me in the oil/cleaner that you really stunk, so my whole driving experience was negative before I even started driving it, and the vehicle had a big scratch in it so it started off negative but when I drove the truck it’s a heavy truck and you could feel it and it was very floaty feeling for example if you took a turn it it would sway alot right and left and I’m old-school I’m used to that older truck tight stiff feeling and I wasn’t impressed maybe simply because of what I’m used to but that’s all I’ve been thinking is purchasing TRX and since I drove it I kind of changed my mind but then I was thinking maybe the tire pressures were real low? it just didn’t feel stable , I don’t know if what I’m saying makes sense but just wondering if you understand what I’m talking about? And I was thinking well maybe it rides better on the street if you run the tire pressures up to full max maybe it’s more stable that way? I don’t know the truck had 7000 miles on it but it was a terrible experience but maybe it was just that truck it just didn’t feel right I actually couldn’t wait to get it back to the dealer and go home, I want to purchase something I have a 1 ton Dooley and I have a 2018 Rubicon which I love so I think I’m going to get the 392 Rubicon but before I do I wanted to reach out to a few people tell them my experience and then compare that to their vehicles but it felt like a big bulky vehicle not big as in too big to drive but Felt too big top-heavy for maybe higher speed driving on winding roads, the suspension on the street if this makes any sense, I’m not cutting the truck down at all I’m a big support of Dodge and what they’ve done is incredible and when I look at the truck I love it the interior is incredible the sound is incredible but when I drove it if I was on a real windy road it would drive me nuts, Your thoughts buddy and thanks for the awesome videol
Well I mean first off the TRX is 7000 pounds so it feeling like a heavy truck is to be expected because it is a heavy truck. Also the TRX has a long travel suspension tailored for high speed off roading. You don’t want a tight suspension off roading, you want soft & spongy for absorbing bumps & ruts. You should have test drove it in sport mode if you wanted a tighter feeling suspension. But driving it in the auto setting would give you a very soft suspension. I typically drive my TRX in the sport setting to avoid that body roll feeling when going around turns. I’m also a big Jeep guy and currently still own a gladiator, but a wrangler & TRX should not be compared, they are 2 different tools for two different jobs. Seems like your sales person didn’t know how to properly guide you on your test drive.
I agree with everything you just wrote. I drove a long distance to buy it, and then I left without it because I wasn’t impressed other than the speed and the way it looked.
I just ordered a base trx last week here in Southern California. Remote start wasn’t even an a la carta option, had to be at least a level 1 or 2. I’m looking forward to your install video on the remote start
Note on fuel economy.. I remember his rebel lift kit video on his 17 rebel. It showed he was getting 13.6mpg... i haven't watched all his videos on the rebel and don't know if he had other modifications as that video was solely lift kit related. There are 2 factors that play the biggest in his (at that time) mpg. He lived in South Florida is the biggest factor. You'd get better mpg driving in New York City. In South Florida even the Tesla's have to carry a generator in their trunk because there is no traffic, it's just a parking lot. Driving to the Walmart which is 2.3 miles away takes 83 minutes... So round trip is nearly 3 hours just sitting in your car going to and from Walmart... I live in FL but not South FL. I have an unmodified 18 rebel hemi with the air suspension and I do all highway miles to work and avg 21.5mpg (if I tailgate a semi I avg 24.3mpg.). His other factor as he clearly implies, he has a lead foot. I pull a 27ft camper with my rebel occasionally and still get 11mpg.. except in the mountains... As for insurance... Some FYI for you all if you don't know.... If you have any gaps of not having insurance in the last 5 years.. example... You got an at home job and sold your vehicles and take the bus to the grocery store... When you go to get insurance you have to pay a premium for NOT having insurance. They penalize you for not owning a car. The penalty is 1k/year for 5 years (this is a nationwide policy as it was passed during the scamdemic act). So if you go buy a 1995 RAM and own it out right, your insurance for that vehicle will be $180/mth (of course your not getting comp and collision)(even if you did not own a car for even 30 days, the penalty is still 1k/yr for 5 years.). This does not apply to most of us, but since the scamdemic it will apply to some.... I always pay my insurance for the 6 months in full and for an 18 rebel it's just under $645/6mths (just renewed it 12/23, so that price is current), in FL. Note: FL has the highest insurance rates in the country. Yes even worse than NY and CA and Mi. I am 40 years old and have a CDL and no accidents ever... I did have a couple speeding tickets when i was a teen. I am just a company truck driver so my personal insurance is unrelated to my job...
I ordered a 2022 raptor in Jan., STILL hasn't been built. Super frustrating. Have to pay a $7500 markup. Stupid but not near as bad as most. A local stealership has a $50k markup on a TRX 😳 You are one of the few not having to pay a markup 👍
I ordered my 2022 on June 8th of last year. I’m STILL waiting for it to arrive. It’s ordered full boat - with all the options. $98,000 + $10,000 over…so $108,000. I’m told it’s gonna ship Feb 23rd - then another 3 weeks for it to arrive. So a full 9 months wait time…if it arrives when they say it will.
Your in West Palm Beach , I’m in St Petersburg. I have the level 2 . Other than the gas I have no complaints. I call it my big corvette. Stay safe. $94K for me.
In nz at one point 91 was just over $3 nzd per litre so per gallon you'll looking at around $12 per litre, I'm not sure the conversion from nzd to usd but thats crazy expensive.
Bro i bought one and im in south florida too , lol i bought the base as well couldnt afford more ! But ima wrap mine and stuff too more appearance then modding of performance
@@Wimya thank you! I won a large sum playing online slots on Christmas Eve and said I'm gonna sit on most but I'm gonna make one crazy purchase, GTR seemed like more than I'd need and living in Odessa, TX.. a truck is pretty much ALWAYS needed, sad I didn't know Raptor was gonna smoke the TRX for the 24 model year BUT along with Ford dealers marking it up by 80K-120K for orders a damn cold air intake puts the TRX right back in 1st place! Any way thank you for the reply 😁
I hated paying almost 20k markup and driving 12 hours to get mine but its not my everyday vehicle so gas its not an issue...the smile pushing on the gas pedal makes it worth it. Just bought my charger jailbreak also its not any better w/gas but the ear2ear grin is priceless!!
Got a question since you had a Rebel. I have a 16 Rebel and wonder if the front grille RAM letters will fit on my Rebel. Really like the look of those hollow letters. Thanks for what you do Man
Nice video, I hate how people bring up the fuel too. But it's not the 702 hp that kills it so much. It's the 35" tires, go put 35's on any other full size gas truck and your gas is going to go to shit. I have a fully built heads cam pistons 6.2 GMC 1500. And I get 12 to 13 on 93 and 9 to 11 on E85. It has 22"x 12" and 33" tires. So I'll take basically the same MPG with 150 to 200 more hp and 35's. This will be my next truck.
Hey I’m new to the whole buying new thing, how do you order a built truck or something ? Is it right when something comes out or is it anytime ? I want to buy a brand new car/truck in the future
You go to the dealer and if the dealership is taking order at the time you sit down with your sales person and you spec out the car/truck you want and a few months later it shows up
I live in Michigan which is the most expensive state for car insurance. I’m 23 and I pay $173 a month for my 19 Camry. Can’t imagine the insurance cost of a TRX in Michigan
When you can afford a 100k truck gas isnt an issue your buying a big powerful beast i think anyone would know gas isnt efficient on this its a v8 with a supercharger and it weighs almost 7 thousand pounds but its worth it if your looking to buy one it looks very nice and alot of people love driving it
Also idc if its stock i just want one for the looks and the engine also the radio if its not included i would probably upgrade it to that one it looks good with the 12 inch display also the sound system would be worth it but stock is still very good for 72k obviously prices went up so it like 82k stock now and 110k plus fully speced out
It’s good to see the depreciation on these for the idiots in chat paying over 100k back in 2021. Now they are 80k or less. Good video and talking points.
That's the question that I would have is it worth it, seeing alot of used 21s scattered around and all are getting dumped at around 1k to 2k miles being sold at around 90 😄
I think the stealerships are driving these trucks then turning around and trying to sell them used at markup. At that point they aren't selling a new truck over MSRP.
Costco man. If your have a membership or if not get one. There premium fuel that’s top tier as well is normally about $0.20 more then the price of regular at shell.
@@Wimya I wouldn’t be afraid of the gas I’ve never seen a bad Costco gas station what I mean is I’ve been traveling before and seen many Shell stations that looked pretty rough and I thought to myself is it actually shell gas or is that premium any good at Costco you know they’re like corporate, so there’s policies and procedures the tanks are monitored for water / the hoses have big filters I wouldn’t be any more worried at Costco than anywhere else. Especially for gas
"You go to the dealer and if the dealership is taking order at the time you sit down with your sales person and you spec out the car/truck you want and a few months later it shows up"Wimya
Ya crazy price around 1500 more than the others but for now it's the only place that makes a bumbers for the trx. We're kinda limited on these aftermarket parts. It does look awesome.
... most RU-vid videos show interior with Alcantara, but I do not see it here. This is good news for me, because I hate Alcantara :-) Can you give me an insight on that, or anyone? Is Alcantara part of the Level II Package? Can I get rid of that somehow?
This is a base model TRX with the base interior. If you check out my base model overview video on the channel you’ll get all the info you need. I have a ton of TRX content on the channel in the TRX playlist.
Common theme with TRX owners is how they have their trucks parked all the time. Drive the dang thing!! Gas shouldn’t be a problem when you’re paying over 95k for a vehicle. Drive the heck out of it lol!
LOL! People can be righteous haters of anybody who owns a gas-powered *thirsty* vehicle. I had to smile when I saw the 9 mpg on your screen. Curiosity forces me to ask, now in August 2022, what your 93 gas costs, and, if you've modified the temptation to be a bit of a lead foot driver? I live in California with super high gasoline prices. I have a 2009 "TRX". I love having real power in any vehicle I own. I do have a lead foot, because, yeah, POWER is a turn on. If you don't like power, an EV is probably perfect for the carbon-fearing haters who buy into the fake climate/ fossil fuels *anti* crowd. At the price of a vehicle now, everyone should try to buy whatever happiness they can afford and that goes along with their philosophy on these matters. BTW, fossil fuels are going to have to remain available for EVERYTHING else, so a billion cars could be EV's but will be unfriendly to the environment, but even worse since the technology involves poisons of the most toxic kinds, and child labor to mine those elements. Happy motoring, dude! VOTE RED!!!!
For 700hp+ I would get a car my man, I would do it right and get a fast car. At the end of a day still a truck and still slow, is a nice truck, don’t get me wrong but still a truck, not meant to be fast….
Wonder how much this guy makes a year. I make $120k and I can’t afford shit. Used to think that was a lot of money… if only taxes weren’t so crazy I’d be doing pretty good. Governments a heavy backpack
Pffff….complaining about gas price😂 In Europe we have for 15 years the price you have today in US. A GPL unit instead of the spare tire we do here, price is half. And we have only 95 and above 100 Octanes so it’s rated at minimum 712HP🎉
@@Wimya Nice video, I got the Ram Rebel 2016. Although this one looks really nice, the Rebel has better towing capacities for my construction company. Who knows, i might still buy one
Beautiful moment, talkin' about fuel this & that blah blah. . . "Listen to that whine" Perfect brother. Haters - Consider this perspective: I am grateful to have a manufacturer (Dodge) that says fuck it we're going to build a machine with no regard to "fUeL EcOnOMy" If you care about fuel economy, go buy a Prius, pussy.
