I know it might seem superfluous to say take extreme care when using spring compressors - if not properly seated a slipped compressor WILL take your head off!! Happy wrenching and cheers for the content.
I am always tariffed using them lol this one actually had a decent hook in the inside of the curved cup to help retain the spring. Thanks for the view!
Nice those look like a good option, I just did a set of lean service bulletin springs today and used that tool on the rear. For a cheapish tool it is still working great! Thanks for the view!
The lean can be taken care of for free at the dealership under warranty. See this video for the info on the repair. Thanks for the view! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r6k_WTgA-ns.html
Hey Tyler, speaking of Geiser springs. In regards to ride and sustained ride height over time do you think the springs would be better than preload spacers I.e Foutz, RC etc?
That is a really good question. I haven't rode in a truck with geiser springs so it is kind of hard to comment on ride compression. It is also hard for me to think that either factory or the aftermarket springs would sag much overtime with normal use. But hopefully someone much smarter than I can add their to cents on it lol Thanks for the view!
The TRX rear springs do have a decent bow to them, but I would still want to double check to make sure they are correctly seated. Though if it was just the service bulletin that was performed it should have only been the left front and left rear spring replaced not the right rear. Thanks for the view!
Timber Grove recently came out with a rear bag kit for the TRX, I think they are the only name in the game currently with a kit. I have not personally seen or installed the kit but it looks like a nice kit from the pictures. Thanks for the view! timbergroveenterprises.com/21up-ram-1500-trx
If you are wanting the factory Mopar springs you could order them through a dealership or a Mopar online parts supplier. But there are a few aftermarket companies making springs now. Check out Geiser springs. Thanks for the view.
