Manusmriti which is followed by Sri Rama says, "A girl, a young woman, or even an old woman should not do anything independently, even in (her own) house" Now how are we going to defend this?
Manusmriti was edited by invaders, it conflicts its own verses in many places. Please keep your propaganda out, We believe Gita, ved, puran and others which we know aren't edited by murderers, rapists and those who burnt 9 million books in nalanda.
We do not have to defend every single line in the Manusmriti to satisfy people like you It is what it is.Take it or leave it Our Sanatan Dharma gives us that freedom of CHOICE
@@frozendream8431 that’s a prakshit, means that it was added much after the manusmriti was written. it was carbon dated and the prakshits have been found to have been written around the 16th century when the manusmriti was written much much before. surprisingly, the new manusmriti with all of its prakshits originated out of goa, and the prakshits were first noted in the portuguese translations, not the original one, yet people like you blame the sages and the brahmins for it? if you read the original manusmriti in sanskrit, you’ll find that this shit was never written in it and this was just something used to convert the masses to christianity.
@@shibanighose837 but you can see, read the original manusmriti for yourself, but read it in sanskrit, and then tell me if you can find that line anywhere
Sri Ramayanam will have a great impact on one’s life! The classic example I have seen is my maternal grandfather. He was taught Sri Ramayanam by his mother at a tender age of 6-7 which greatly helped in his character building. He made a promise that he would never hurt an animal and he will be vegetarian at a tender age of 8 and he stood by his word. He is 85 now and we have never seen him insulting / lying / talking unnecessarily… we all grandchildren look up to him as Lord Rama himself. He is a an advocate and never stood by the rich clients… he always chosen the right side… even if the client is a pauper. And coming to respecting women, the way he treats my grandmother like his soulmate… we know we would be blessed by their aura just by spending mere few moments with them. If just listening to Lord Rama’s stories could bring the Rama in him! Imagine if we all could have this wonderful book in our house and teach our children and ourselves these lessons. Don’t you think our world will be a better place to live. Thank you so much for the video🙏🙏
in our society wife is called ardhangani, means half of Men, when we do any rituals Husband and wife both have to join, Prada pratha came after Muslim Invasion in our society. Now they are using it as a propaganda against hindu
To my younger self - I wish you had read the Ramayana when your uncles urged you to at a young age, it would have saved you from feeling inferior in later life. Brother, the person behind Project Shivoham, I don't know who you are. I wish I could give you a hug for this video, I'm not sure I words to describe what's going on in my head. Thank you!
Seriously. I never whole knew Ramayana, it's lessons, impacts, from childhood, even if grandparents watched it on tv, I never paid attention to watch it. I realise when I am 22😢. But still I will learn my culture and dharma till Iife is there 😊.
Another important thing is Sita was a single mother. She raised her children without taking anyone's help and gave them right education and values and she did all this while living in forest. That's a very strong woman.
I used to listen to Brahmasri Chaganti Koteshwara Rao Garu's pravachanas on Ramayana around 5 years back (I would really encourage Telugu people to listen to his Aranya Kanda and Sundara Kanda pravachans). His pravachanas are in Telugu but give extreme clarity and the exact truth of the lines that will not only help us drop the misconceptions of Ramayana but also help women and men to imbibe these profound qualities of the great women and drop the fears/insecurities given by the society. I really wished to translate some of his works into English so that everyone can benefit from it. However, I never committed myself to it due to other engagements. This video highlights all of those great aspects and help motivate me once again. I see that a significant percentage of Indian women in the last generation and even this generation think that they are required to be lower than their husbands and that is the only way they can show true respect to their husbands. With this condition in their mind, they curb their growth in all areas - knowledge, skill, wisdom, spirituality, finances etc. I see that men are also happy about it as it satisfies their ego to some extent and even they do not give much importance to growth at all levels. Instead, it would be beautiful for men and women to gather such wisdom from ancient texts when this land was not too much influenced by external forces and look at the truth for themselves and drop their ignorance to become more and more free from within and contribute in a needful way to the society. Thank you project Shivoham for putting it in an attractive audio/visual format and making it easily accessible to the world.
loved ur comment...if u ever get freetime then start translating the work in english..we from north of INDIA really needed this as there r many people this side who criticse ramayan
Rightly said. All Women degradation in Bharat happened due to islamic invaders and than other narrow minded European people. Today's women must read the ancient scriptures and get knowledge, but they can't think beyond 1000 years due to external forces and islamic thoughts & brain wash. Even i am waiting for such moment to counter women who talks about women empowerment about ancient Bharat culture and traditions. There are many good examples of women empowerment in ancient Bharat.
There is so much wisdom in regional languages n local saints but u fortunately only pockets of it is known to respective segments of society. Translations are so crucial to busy myths spread by Chinese whispers n distorted tv series. Pls translate or request them to add subtitles. I too will write a book on my learnings of atman for a regular samsarik person. Project shivoham person is fantastic , uniting us all. Hope you too join our group of spreading gyan told by our brilliant rishis.
I am sociologist and being sociologists its been great evidence to prove about patriarchy or matriarchy or about feminism. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS KIND OF EVIDENCES...... Which will help to change mindset of orthodox people..... I request you to provide more evidenced videos which can bring change in society...
Also you have forgotten the most important character of Ramayanam; Sabhari. She excelled in Guru Seva; Ramayana here gave highest position for a women from tribal community to serve her guru who reverred her as best Shishyai and gave her the responsibility of receiving Rama when he comes to his ashram. She attained moksha.
@@______________2275 Sabhari’s story is mentioned in Valmiki’s Ramayan. The famous slokas where Rama enquires well being of Sabhari “kaccit…”. Please refer Aranya Kanda Sarga 74.
Why is she “serving” any guru especially a man. This just reaffirms the misogyny in the story and is contrary to third wave feminism which propagates the idea of women serving themselves first as a priority. Honestly, it makes sense though because in those times that was the norm. We shouldn’t be anachronistic and impose our standards from today on to people from the past. We should learn the lessons we can from these tales and use them in our lives. Their challenges were much different from the challenges we face today but we can still learn many lessons from them.
@@Subranna1 Who is "their?" Can you show me a figure in the Ramayan or any sanatan scripture that was a female and taught "true knowledge." Were there any rishis that were female? Gods that are female seem to have male gods that are their husbands and therefore their superior according to the dharma hiearchy. Please explain.
My brother believe me my baby will be learning and understanding every bit of this great epic. This is the first thing the baby will learn God bless you and me also with a baby like you...
U r modern Chaganti garu for me. Your explanation is 100% correct and Chaganti has explained the same multiple times. Kudos to you for speaking the truth alone . I'm super proud as your subscriber. Please keep up the great work and service you are doing to this society and humanity
I am reading Valmiki Ramayanam in Telugu from Gita Press, every bit of the video is true. Translated works, movie adaptations are not entirely fact based. Example: Lakshmana Rekha episode is not present in Valmiki Ramayanam.Good work Project Shivoham. The only way to fight the fake narrative is to learn, read, seek facts from original and authentic sources.
Read it, you will live in it. When you read it, it will take you through the time. It's very intuitive. Just by hearing it we feel thrilled. Let's read it and stay blessed.
Respected brother, your project is an eye opener for the younger generation, though many people who know most of these facts do not have a platform to speak on it and make others know, Your words and the strong willingness to speak truth with proof from our treasure Sri Ramayanam is superb. My heartfelt wishes for you to succeed in your mission. Thank you
You nailed it once again brother 👏🏻. I will show all these gems of videos to my kids when they grew up to understand the true essence of our proud culture unadulterated..thanks is always a small gesture to ur efforts and services 🙏🏻
We suffer from a pandemic called "intellectual bankruptcy". The things that distinguish humans from animals are discipline, development and civilized behavior. Moreover, humans can think and distinguish between right and wrong, good and bad. The height of this development of modern humans is the history of human consciousness. Humans faced difficulties and hardships, but they thought things out and invented. Ramayana and other scriptures are those thoughts - the crystallization of those thoughts! If only we could download all of them into our brains and practice them. Don't you think we would be in the Satya Yuga?
@@RAIRADIO I agree but all subjective opinions of good and bad have a reference point. Ramayana provides that reference point. The more we deviate from the reference point, more we lose the perspective. Our perspective could be different depending on where we stand in place and time but our reference point is always the same.
I am also tired of blind followers. Still waiting to see of anyone actually realized the problem with the shlok which says that husband is equal to God and should be accepted irrespective of bring good or bad while ahellya was punished for committing adultery where she dint even knew that the person in her husband's face was indra. Comparing with soul and comparing with God whom u have to accept no matter how shitty person he is are not same things. Wife should be pure but husband should be accepted no matter how good or bad he this. This one shlok lead to all historical oppression of women but yet ppl are blind enough of not see the diffence between both shlokas. If husband can be accepted no matter how good or bad he is then by that logic even ahelly and Sita should have never been questioned even if they committed adultery
Thank You brother for arming the common sanatani with these facts so that we can counter people with agendas to malign our culture. Dhanyavad. Jai Shri Raam.
@@sohini2703 Good Joke.. Some got problem, but why feminists started blaming Ramayan & How did this affected todays feminists??? @@rajeebraj3432 I'm against pseudo-feminists who potray ramayan as women oppressive, misogynist tale.🖐like, that's clearly not it! But *in this age* there are misogynistic men who likes oppressing women and that's not good!! Also feminism carries the idea of women empowerment and not what men think, i.e. dominating men.
@@rajeebraj3432 ofc not all feminists blame the whole male population. There are some toxic feminists who does that, and feminism shouldn't be judged solely based on the toxic feminists.
Your next level sir hats off to you. From my child hood i am listening and seeing Ramayana in different ways but today you told what i haven't heard for the last 30 years. Heart fully saying today my thought and perception on women and girls are changed in great way. Let my original Ramayana reach each and everyone in the World.
In the Ramayana era, women knew vedas and performed Yajna. There are also countless evidences of such:(here giving only 4) 1) praviśya prathamām kakṣyām dvitīyāyām dadarśa saḥ | brāhmaṇān veda sampannān vRddhān rājñā abhisatkRtān || 2-20-11 i.e Rama crossed the first gate and saw old Brahmanas who were perfect in Vedas and duly honoured by the king. 2)kṣauma vasanā hRṣṭā nityam vrata parāyaṇā | agnim juhoti sma tadā mantravat kRta mangalā || 2-20-15 ➡️ Kausalya, who was interested to practise dharmic vows regularly was appearing auspiciously by wearing a white silk sari and gladly performing agnihotra yajna ceremony in a sacred fire, by reciting vedic hymns. 2)ततः स्वस्त्ययनं कृत्वा मन्त्रविद्विजयैषिणी। अन्तःपुरं सह स्त्रीभिः प्रविष्टा शोकमोहिता4.16.12।। ➡️ The wise counsellor, Tara well versed in ved mantras bade him farewell, wishing him victory and then, overwhelmed with sorrow, entered the inner apartment followed by the womenfolk. 3) ततस्तु जलशेषेण लक्ष्मणोऽप्यकरोत्तदा। वाग्यतास्ते त्रय स्सन्ध्यां समुपासत संहिताः।।2.87.18 ➡️ Thereafter Lakshmana also drank the remainder of water. Then all the three (Ram, Sita & Lakshman) observing silence intently performed the "Sandhyopasana". (Without knowing ved mantras one could not perform sandhyopasana) ।2.6.2।। ➡️With the family priest (Vasistha) gone, Rama had his bath, and with his mind under control came to Paramatma Narayana along with his largeeyed consort, Sita. (with an intention to worship him) Then holding the vessel containing havis on his head, he offered the oblations of clarified butter into the sacred fire for Visnu swaroop Paramatma in accordance with the tradition. (i .e both Ram & Sita performs havan)
Vajpayi, a great scholar, poet and greatest indian Statesman, answered this last allegation very smartly. He said as Seetaram (husband of Seeta) Rama was wrong in refusing to take Seeta back, but as Rajaram (future Emperor of his kingdom) Rama was right.
Just a small correction, Shri Ram was the King of ishvaku vansha even in exile as he had accepted the kingdom from Bharat. He was the King who was crowned after 14 years.
Even as an Emperor he is wrong as he set a bad example for everyone, and had the power to stand by his wife easily. The truth is he is consistently loyal to rules made by others, instead of making his own rules. Someone asks him to leave for forest, he goes. Someone asks him to chase a deer, he does. Someone asks him to leave his wife, he does. Its not like he is a bad person. He is a pushover. Today the biggest complain in mom groups is that the son doesnt defend the wife when inlaws are being unreasonable or wrong.
@@ketanrulz no small correction here Raghu is the great King of ikshavaku dynasty and he was great grand father of Lord Ram. thats why we call him Raghuvanshi
Thank you project Shivoham for this wonderful documentary 🙏🏻 As always great work 👌🏻, really appreciate the facts based approach, presentation and attention to details.
" correctly, mata Sita was kept Agnideva means her original self and only her shadow goes with Rama, in the beginning of the Aranya kanda and during the AGNIPRAVESHA she takes her original self from agnideva and then Rama promises to not leave her beloved WIFE Sita"~~ this is what I have listened throughout my childhood from my grandmaa... I think she artly stand correct😶🌫🙏
Main culprit is TV serials, they don't show devotional epics as what it was Just they are making fancy stories to lure viewer and future generations take reference from serials
Apt video. I read Tulsidas Ramayan last year and reading Valmiki Ramayan these days, hence all the shlokas referred here are accurate. I started reading the Ramayan because I wanted to know for myself what the book states. I am also reading here in comments that we should have read the Ramayan as children, though true but its never too late. Ramayan has had a profound impact on me, knowing a story and reading it and thereby trying to implement it in has made my life so much better. As far as being a feminist is concerned, I believe in equal rights for both genders and am a feminist since it was not a trend, and i find nothing objectionable in Ramayan. It is a story and just like any other story there are characters of all kinds with their own beliefs. Even if a character says something you don't agree with it doesn't mean the whole story is wrong. There are incidents leading upto what happens in all Ramayan Kands and selective quoting will always be problematic. Therefore Ramayan guides us how to and how not to lead your life. What you take it from it is completely ones outlook.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing me with a logical defence a valid counter argument against pseudo feminists who vociferously decry India and all things Indian without analysing or even ascertaining the facts
Great video guruji. Jai siya ram. Maryadapurushottam raghu kul deepak dasrathnandan ayodhya Naresh Shree Ram is eternal. Even if India gets Christianised or islamized his name will always be there in his glorious land where he established Ram rajya.

Thank you for the detailed information. My source being Chandamama in childhood and TV serial later on I too felt Rama was misogynistic You have clarified it beautifully with authentic source. Thanks once again. Arati
Hats off to you, this was really needed❤💖👏👏 Those people say such things with so much of confidence as if they really read and understood each and everything regarding Ramayana There are lots of misconceptions regarding Vedas as well Could you make the video in the same way for Vedas, like what some people believe and then what Vedas actually says
Thank you. I have to admit that I was one of those misguided feminists. However, as I got older and re-read the Ramayan I had a different understanding. Your videos are priceless and should have millions of viewers. At 62 years old I will touch your feet if given the chance.
Got lots of wisdom....I wasn't aware of the fact about the proposal of King dasharath to sita to rule the kingdom in absence of sri Ram..... this is the tight slap on the face of fake feminist or so called misogynist
Beautifully explained.. 👍. The way you explain and the tone is addictive in a positive sense.. My request to you is to start a playlist of narrating Sri Ramayanam shlokas as per Valmiki Ramayanam, 2 or 3 shlokas per video may be .. All the best to you and keep up the good work.
What happened to the mathematics series? Please bring it back. I had no idea that people defend Surpanakha, wow that article at the end is just mental gymnastics. How do woke people justify female on male sexual misconduct like this? Surpanakha wasn't an ugly woman, she was a rakshasi.
Thank you for making these brilliant and insightful videos. They are needed so much in these times we're living in where Sanatana Dharma, the very life and soul of India, is being threatened.
Lord Rama came to teach us the duty of a King or any head of the state. His position is not to please his wife and children but to please his citizens. Lord knew Mother Sita is pure and even Sita never blamed Lord Rama for it.
Wonderful demonstration of a fact oriented documentary. You people have done a great a job in establishing a realistic and logistic approach towards Ramayana against the false and fake ideals regarding the book.. Kudos to the entire team 🙏🏻
Namaskaram! Your work is surely pious and authentic means for us to acknowledge ourselves with undistorted truth which needs to be exposed and a good cause for self retrospection. Thankyou!!
Yes. My father also always told me that Ramayana is very much twisted & portrayed wrong by many. Only read Valmiki Ramayana. I have read that women were highly respected in India, very long ago around Rig Veda & Yajur Veda period. Women had right for education & there were respected women scholars. There were Queens who ruled & protected her kingdom. Men & women were respected equally. People had great moral values. It was in western world where women did not get enough respect unless they are from royal family. Don't know exactly from when, many women around the world are suppressed and fighting for equal rights!!
Was eagerly waiting for this.People who criticise ramayan are surely those who hadnt given a sinlr read to epic. Thanks anna but i wish this documentary was bit longer as we never get tired of learning truth from u
