2:58 I love how the song straight up tricks you here. It lulls you with this gentle and downright soothing segment, only to surprise and shock you with that absolutely nightmarish breakdown afterwards
Dad and I went and saw Rammstein in Cardiff in 2022. Their performance of Mein Teil (and particularly cooking Flake) was the highlight of the evening for him.
Fun fact. During the filming of the music video, the destroyed suit was enhanced by the guys last minute turns out they used a makeup artists kit that cost thousands of dollars which they replaced twice over. Cool guys when they realized they oopses.
I used to love this song as a young kid not really understanding the backstory. I always thought that they said”this I my time, mine”. Knowing what ik now, that wasn’t far off.
I remember the story. When song came out I looked up what name meant. I always thought they were basically saying this is my dick. Mein Teil" (German for "My part" or "My share", slang for "My penis.
Today I will meet a gentleman He likes to eat me Soft parts and hard ones too Are on the menu Because you are what you eat And you know what it is It's my part - No) My part - no) There that's my part (no) My part - no) The blunt blade all right I'm bleeding badly and I'm sick Do I also have to struggle with fainting I keep eating with cramps It's so flavorful and flambéed so nicely And so lovingly served on porcelain With it a good wine and delicate candlelight Yes, I take my time, there has to be some culture Because you are what you eat And you know what it is It's my part - No) My part - no) There that's my part (no) Yes, it's my part (no) One…
Naja ein paar Rechtschreibfehler und gurter anstatt guter und Wien ist unsere Hauptstadt und wein ist der wein.... Zeit deutsch zu lernen bevor man so ein viedeo macht
It’s about a man who grew up having weird tendencies that turned into a cannibalism fetish and him eating a man who consented to being eaten, this happened in the early 2000’s in Essen Germany.
@@ghostnappa4408 Well I mean, they boned and the guy who sacrificed himself just did it to get off. So I mean, they weren't wrong sexualizing it for the video.
It's about that Austrian dude who ate that Canadian dude. They met online and they met up, had gay sex, then he cuts parts off him while still alive. They both ate them. Canadian dude ulis obviously dead.
I'm learning German because I actually want to go there for many reasons, and Rammstein's songs help me try to hear German, since it's hard for me to understand hearing it. Two of my favorite things: Deutsch and metal put together, danke zu Rammstein haha!
@JoliyanaAbdulHussein You know how translations aren't always 100% accurate, especially between German and English? Well, it's like hearing it in English might sound bad, but even worse in German. Like imagine someone who translates English to their language. They would hear or see something like "I ate your insides" or something, whereas in English, it would be something like "I've eaten your juicy innards." or some weird shit. It's hard for me to explain in a nutshell, but if you listen for years, you can kinda sort of understand it. Like I said, hard to explain.
My favorite part is the bridge. I just love the rhythm and intonation when Till sings it: Ich doch so gut gewurst Und so schon flambiert Und so liebevoll Auf Porzellan serviert Dazu ein gurter Wein Und zarter Karzenschein Ja da lass ich mir Zeit Etwas Kultur muss sein
