The song translates as Hunter's Greeting/Hail. It's a traditional greeting that German hunters would give each other before they went off on the hunt. The song can be taken as literal about the thrill of the hunt and obsession with hunting animals but the song can also have a deeper meaning of a man hunting women for pleasure, as there's a lot of metaphors and symbolism in the lyrics that Till always uses in songs
Agree with the dual meanings people have for this song, it is either a Hunter's Salute about Hunting and then there is this is actually about a serial killer hunting women. I have seen both.
I like this concert very much, i see the full concert on RU-vid ! This is the only way for me to see Rammstein live and your channel ! Kisses from me to you and your beautiful doggis ! I love you all ! Greatings and love from germany ♥️♥️🥰♥️♥️🥰♥️♥️
Till Lindemann's secret passion is hunting He expressed himself as follows. "Actually, you would have to go bow and arrow or just barehanded". However, there is also "pretty nasty work" associated with hunting. "I don't think it's nice to cut the eggs off a roebuck."
Please "Wiener Blut" (Live @ MSG)... very creepy, very dark and heavy song. It´s based on a real horror story in Vienna, so check it out before reacting...
The Song is ambiguous! Obviously it's about an Animal Hunt, musically the Horn Sounds at the Start of the Hunt, Hunter's Language is used, so all clear! But it could also be a Human Hunt for a Woman, which in my Opinion is very likely! What does that suggest? A female "Animal" is being hunted. A "Kahlwild" is a female red deer, a "Schmalwild" is a red deer that has not yet calved. Another clue is the Line of Text: "Und bis zum Morgen sitz ich an - And until the Morning I sit on" A Hunter does not hunt a red deer at Night, I am not a Hunter but I think the Hunt goes from the early Morning Hours into the Day! I didn't realise it straight away and thought that this was really just an Animal hunt, but today I'm sure it's a Sex Offender. For me, Waidmanns Heil is the most dynamic Song by Rammstein and one of my Favourites among many others! Greetings from Germany (Kiel) Michael
