I would pick my kids up from their mom's for the weekend, they'd either say "dad, play hey ho let's go " or "play beat on the brat" funny to hear from an 8 and 6 year old!!!
precise in what way? they're fairly dry, and have a fast attack/decay, but i wouldn't say the performance is precise... you can already hear them rushing in the first couple of bars.
I lived in an apartment across from a woman who supposedly had sex with all the Ramones. I dunno if that was at the same time, the same night, or some extended period.
This tune is especially applicable for those people who bother you or anyone of your closest, toxic people, troublemakers, vultures and all that while bunch of idiots.
I used to "slam dance" with my older brother and younger sister to this song when I was around 2 or 3. I was a big kid so I was always the last one standing. 😂
Ramones beat on the brat lyrics Beat on the brat Beat on the brat Beat on the brat with a baseball bat Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-oh Beat on the brat Beat on the brat Beat on the brat with a baseball bat Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-oh Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-oh What can you do? What can you do? With a brat like that always on your back What can you lose? What can you do? What can you do? With a brat like that always on your back What can you lose, lose? Beat on the brat Beat on the brat Beat on the brat with a baseball bat Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-oh Beat on the brat Beat on the brat Beat on the brat with a baseball bat Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-oh Oh yeah, oh yeah, uh-oh What can you do? What can you do? With a brat like that always on your back What can you lose? What can you do? What can you do? With a brat like that always on your back What can you lose, lose?
We’re having Brats tonight for dinner at the treatment center I’m in… my roomies were complaining so I had to put this song on for them. And I say, it could be wurst! 🤣🤣
I first heard this song on KMET (L.A.) on a Sunday night listening to the Dr. Demento Show. I loved it immediately & whenever I hear this song, I'm taken back in time to 1976. Dr. D brought us the fun & quirky good music from all the eras. And thanks to the Ramones for some great beats.
I still miss the founding 4...them,Lou,Lemmy, Wendy O... wherever they are, I'm sure that place has a helluva band. Can't wait to see the show. Born to Lose. Play to Win.
Heard this song through playing a video game- True Crime NYC on PlayStation2. you get to play a good cop or a bad cop on the streets of NYC almost like GTA
im there playing guitar for a second along with this record , the poltergeist narcissts went banannas. i dont know why they never heard it , kinda hilarious.
When I was younger and I'd play this and Blitzkrieg Bop I got strange looks, I suppose I didn't fit the look of someone who listens to this kind of music.
Nobody could work the cymbals like Tommy. He made it an art form. People talk about Peart, Bonham, Baker, Moon but Tommy had a sense of rhythmic style that was unmatched. People think Ramones drumming is easy but its not, especially at a live show going for 90 minutes without a break.
I used to change the lyrics to "Beat on the cat," and sing it to my cat. Also Rock the Casbah became "Wash the Catbox." Rip Freyja I miss singing silly songs to you.
When my brother and I were younger and we were being little brats my mom use to sing the chorus to us lol 😂 (she never really hit us with a baseball bat ) but we would definitely know we were gonna get told lol
Which country? Probably IS a copyright issue. I found one picture of myself on www when I was young and pretty someone thinks they have a copyright to? What day you? HAHA! Can’t remember well, but maybe a glamour shot or I had on stage makeup. Either way, key in my real name and there it is LoL!
