Spector brought his A-game for EOTC... this track has all Phil's trademarks and a wry, brilliant Joey lyric. He really got on with Spector, bonding over early60's Doo Wop and R&B but Johnny hated his guts and to his credit didn't hide it. Easily the best production the Rams ever got in their career. Sure Phil was a maniac, but so was Van Gogh!
I don't really hear it because of the mixing of the recording, it seems to highlight the other instruments too loud imo to hear that riff. I heard that Mick might have heard Sammy Hagar & Ronnie Montrose from the band Montrose & their song" Bad motorscooter."
