Moss won this. Revis only played the first half because his hamstring gave out trying to cover him. And this was 33 year old Moss against a prime Revis. Cromartie won his matchup with Moss tho in the second half and held Moss to 0 catches
He burned Revis so badly he pulled Revis' hamstring for him. You always love the guys who as soon as they're burned...oops they're hurt. Btw. Anyone remember the end of Revis' career?!? A lot of mailing it the fuck in.
It’s wild that the Patriots got rid of Moss just a few weeks after this game because clearly he was still capable of being elite and gave the best corner in the game problems
This isn’t true at all - I remember pre season week 3 against the rams, that year, we had to leave moss out there against the rams 3rd stringers in the 2nd half - even in this game he looks laboured when he runs, he was just coming towards the end
Every DB in the league at that time should've been able to lock Moss down considering the fact that he was past his physical prime at that time, but he was still a problem for every defense that year
Saw Moss leap into the stands at Dallas scoring a TD for Minnesota , and I thought ‘ what a fucking hot dog ‘, and he gave that ball to a disabled, wheelchair bound kid in the stands. That’s a genuinely good person
The broadcaster stated that these players, “Underestimate the speed of Moss.” How do you underestimate someone with 4.2 speed in the 40 yard dash????????????!
Old Man Moss was cooking Revis this game. People who don't think a prime Moss is the greatest receiver of all time need to check themselves. 2003 Moss or 2007 would've cook Prime Revis.
@@maggiehill789that was the Spy Gate game. It was also Revis first NFL game ever. Revis even missed camp because he held out his rookie season to get more money. Back then rookies could do that. Now they have predetermined contracts. Moss was the best though. It's just not fair to judge Revis on.
@@someguy9301 no but he was out there if he wanted to run his mouth because he was that great like deion or something he had his chance moss put up 180 He talked at moss when he was old that ain't fair either so I think moss made sure he got that poster with revis in it
Crazy how Moss can just jump up and grab balls that are virtually in the hands of a defender, but couldn't catch that perfect pass right in his hands smh
Best thing about this piece of history is hearing how good a color man that Phil Simms is/was. In comparison, former Dallas QBs have a history of showing how little of the English language they know, as in an active vocabulary! And, weirdly enough, it's all three of 'em. Then in SB 42, Sterling Sharpe overseas outshined the guy in the States broadcast who said this iconic thing of idiocy: "it depends on the nature of his makeup." As if we have to wonder what he meant by make-up. These days, Cris Collinsworth is close to how good Simms was. Close, and not equal as in not equal, bt close. Sooo... Nance could have kept his mouth shut for a couple of plays... it's happened before. Instead he did his play-by-play of a fart.!
Why would they cut the primary highlight that everyone came here to watch. Moss runs a streak for a one-handed grab that leaves revis hurt and they cut to the commercial highlight! Trash
I remember watching Dez light up Revis and Cromartie in the same drive. Gave Revis slant and went 50 or 60 yards and capped it off with a TD over Cromartie on a fade route that Cromartie had no chance at getting.
@johnre5342 that pass happened at right before halftime and Dez fell on the route. That's the only reason it was picked. Dez dominated both of them overrated corners. Cromartie more than Revis, but Revis is still overrated. He had 1 all-time great season and then maybe 5 seasons of slightly above average. The rest are sub-par and filled with injuries every time he got beat.
You remember shit. On the first drive he had a 40 yd catch while he was in the slot. Revis wasn't guarding him. He ran a slant on the linebackers. He caught a td on Cromartie to finish the first drive. That was 5 minutes into the game. For the next 55 minutes he had only 1 catch for 25 yds on Revis. And with the game tied 24-24 and a minute left Revis intercepted a pass intended for Dez and the game was over. It was to end the game. Not halftime. I just looked up the highlights. Dez got owned. Do your research kid before you talk to the men.
On that first intro was a bad throw by Brady ….. and Brady had a lot of bad throws in that second half!!!!! That’s not gonna be talked about doe… abd Moss being the deep threat he was opened up things for welker in the slot and for faulks screen receptions……… Moss just being on the field just impacts the game!!!!!
Where is the live video of the long catch? That killed this entire video. Showing all the incomplete plays but the biggest on you show a Tom Jackson replay. WTH
This was peak fandom for me and Moss was finished at this point. We couldn’t get him going in pre season or regular- just lost all his quickness and that deep speed was slower and took longer for him to hit 5th gear. He was done
Not true at all, imo, Patriots thing is to move on 2 years early not 2 years late, you in no way you can believe he couldn’t have be a valuable 2-3, he’s getting separation in this very video Of course he wasn’t Randy Randy
You pulled the footage from the game where Revis was playing with a hamstring injury. He was out the previous week. Yeah, we know……Randy jock riders don’t like to mention that.
@@MP-yc2ou exactly... Couldn't handle Moss couldn't do shit... Blowout Moss still got that one hander on him after he was running his mouth at aged Moss
@maggiehill789 You try sticking someone with a bad hamstring... and exactly... why would a rookie playing in his 1st NFL talk trash about anyone let alone Randy Moss
@maggiehill789 I would say he got burned, mossed is defender(s) and wr both going up for the ball and wr comes up with it over defender. That burn wasn't legitimate against Revis in my book Revis had a bad hamstring going into the game. you try running full speed on a bad hamstring. That TD never happens if Revis is healthy
Cromatie shutdown Moss far better than Revis… Moss against Revis 4 targets, 2 catches and a touchdown Miss against Cromatie..3 targets 0 catches…. Cromatie >>>>> Revis…
Yeah but.. Brady’s team cheated more than once and obviously gets help from the refs more than other star qbs. I’ve noticed over the years of Brady and also Rodgers getting calls. Brady got flags and rule changes, plus his o-line got away with blatant holding at times. I’ve been watching football since the 90s. The league definitely has their golden gooses.
