I tried playing with the twelve at guitar center and I agree, it is really really nice. Feels and looks sooo good. What really impressed me, was the smooth ability to bend pitch by pushing or dragging on the platter or spindle. Looking at the strobe: it is smoooooooooth. no cogging.

Ya man! I am a little dissapoiinted with the rev7 for that, Prob the only negative I have for it, But a pitch bend button is so weird in 2024 lol

Mainly only edm djs 4 deck mix so they can use a drum sample, a instrument sample, and vocal sample all separately. I dont use 4 decks either but I could see how it could apply for complex hip hop remixes, but it really isnt necessary. Plus we can use our sampler as a 3rd deck for that same purpose.

Exactly ! I know alot of DJs in my life, and honestly have never seen 1 my entire career ACTUALLY 4 deck mixing. Unless its some trick video or something for content, Noone is actually showing up to the club and mixing 4 decks. I know the purpose behind it, but in reality noone really is. Only a very select few!

@@TheDJConnect So do you know how to utilize deck 3 and deck 4 modes on the rane12 mk2? Myself, I've always wanted to used more than two decks live, but the thing is, I would never carry three turntables to an event plus crates with amp and speakers. It would be just far too much to carry. But I have not figured out how to use these tables to control deck 3 and/or deck 4...

Ive never actually used 3 decks, but its within serato change it to the 4 deck view and you should be good to go I dont have a video on it unfortuantely @@duanemousewayne6477

The power switch is hidden at the bottom and is not easy to press. I can't reach the switch without lifting the device. It weighs 11kg.　It is very difficult to use. When starting it, you need to forcefully insert and remove the cable. Or prepare a separate switch.

@@TheDJConnect As for the mixer, to be honest, I'm not satisfied with Pioneer either. The S7 has a soldered up fader and is cheap. You can't get the most out of it unless you buy the more expensive S11. I feel like I'm being cheated. As a fellow Japanese, I feel embarrassed .　So I'm looking forward to RANE in the future.

@@morimorimorimorimorimorimoemoe I can't really speak on the s7, but the only comparable is the s11 to the 72, So you can only compare those 2 together, I only have the highest tier pioneer dj controllers so that's kind of all I know, Not to sure on the cheaper units. I was a HUGE Rane fan my whole life, but this 72 really ruined that for me :(

MK2’s are best. All of the runaway platter issues were worked out before the release and the 72 MK2 is great but I’m not sure if it will remain to be my go to. Time will tell.

I actually just came back to them for awhile before a dj competition that I had to use them on I was.prob a little too hard on them. Still nice, platter feels good It my rev7 all day every day for sure

Big Brother! Can you tell me if it is possible to combine the RaneTwelve with the RaneOne obviously via the serato software? And make it like 3 channels or even exclude a RaneOne channel? Thanks nice work!

Hey im sure it's possible, But not sure why ? You can set up 4 decks pretty well with anything And you don't have 4 faders, So there's no actual reason to not just use the 2 decks For the look i guess ?

@@TheDJConnect Thanks for the reply Brother! No simply to use a single rane12 to do scratching with 12 inches, instead of buying another analogue turntable, perhaps you also have to buy the Phase set, then buy the serato DVS license, etc., Maybe as a single 12 inch it is better to plus a rane12. Regardless of the channels you use.

@PasqualeIU8CEW is there any usb ins on the Rane one ? I've never had it so I'm not really sure But needing DVS sounds like it might be required You def don't need a phase haha Rane 12s are midi

@@TheDJConnect No, the Raneone only has 2deck RCA inputs, and from what I saw on RU-vid it is possible to connect two DVS timecode sources. In fact, I wanted to know if the Rane12 works individually with Serato DJ Pro directly to the PC via USB and therefore interface with Serato DJ Pro together with the Raneone and use its mixer, or is a suitable external mixer necessarily necessary.

@@PasqualeIU8CEW nah if you want it to work thru the Rane one, You would def have to plug it in via RCA and than have the DVS plugin unfortunately I highly doubt there is any work around for this, I don't have the DVS plugin either and its screwed me over a couple times, Things I thought would be no problem, But if you get the DVS you should be good to go

Great review! So do you think that perfect set up would be the Twelves with Pioneer mixer? I’ve been DJing 42 years and have only just gone digital with Serato and a pair of discounted Mk1 Rane Twelves last year. Back in the day I used to do three and four deck mixing in a couple of clubs I was resident at, so last year I also picked up a Mixars Quattro mixer as a Serato enabled 4 channel mixer (to replace my previous DJM800) in the hope of using the Twelve’s 4 deck switching to do some four deck mixing again. However the reality is that, as I now only work one-off events (corporate events, after parties, some weddings) it’s all about quick mixing and keeping things moving, rather than impressing house heads with complex running mixes. The Quattro is a surprising good four channel mixer, with better sound quality than a Pioneer DJM800, but the built in effects are nowhere near Pioneer quality (not that I use effects much). If there was a Rane Seventy Four I might have been considering upgrading to that. But maybe a good two channel mixer would better suit my current needs?

YUP !!! That is the ultimate. Depends what you want it for tho, Like I will never ever take those out of my house, The rev 7 is def my go to now, It has a few downfalls, but I'd never take the 12s out to play. The 12s are amazing tho

Sorry just saw the rest ! If it is for playing out, Get the rev. A little more expensive, but it's the ultimate solution. Unless you enjoy carrying gear hahaha

@@TheDJConnect I am playing out with the Twelves and the Quattro (in individual flight cases)! The Twelves are slightly lighter and smaller than Technics, and there’s not crates of vinyl to carry ha ha. (Also lighter than my speakers if a sound/lighting company isn’t contracted). I did consider a controller (before the Rane One was out) but people kind of expect me to put on a show.

@@robbiedownes1055 That's incredible, Yes they are 100000% a head turner, If I ever bring them out, there is ALWAYS someone to asks me about them, And yea, if a AV company is contracted makes it alot nicer hahahah I have a friend who brings them to the club every night Just me personally, I prefer the all in one option!! Amazing choice tho, they are the best!!!

I've never used it, But definitely not Passed on it until rev7 came out I also have about 6 friends who had it and it either broke or they sold/returned it It's junk

For the effects, is that able to be saved in your Virtual DJ or Serato?

Hey! So with the Rane mixer, they are built into the controller. A buddy of mine said you can save serato effects, In all honesty, I have never brought these out to events, only home DJing, so I never spent to much time on learning the effects. I wasn't impressed with the mixer so kind of just tossed it to the side along time ago But a buddy just told me he is able to save his settings within serato for the effects on his rane one

You cant save hardware fx. They are technically already saved... and hardware fx are way better than serato fx...i use a Rane One and that is the only thing that it falls short on in my opinion, it only uses software fx.

@@DJTeddyJetts Interesting! My buddy told me about saving the software effects, but like on the hardware effects, you have to set it literally every single time. It's super annoying and lead me to never use them ever

Just ordered a pair of Rane twelves along with the pioneer S7 mixer. Keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to get these working with rekordbox.

SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICKKKK!!! The pioneer for sure, I can't see there being any problem with the 12's, they are just a USB midi controller, As long as the S7 works, you should be good to go, And it's a pioneer product so I'm sure you'll be fine!

@@TheDJConnect proper Liberty Rane took, making a 72, 70 and the a 72 mk2 . I looked at the 72 Mek2 and could get it for near the same price as the 70, but I just think the 70 is a much better mixer period, sell the 72 and get a 70.

So there's a back order for the DJMS-11 but I'm on the list for both but I've been doing a lot of research and everyone says that the Pioneer DJM S-11 is the best. But my question is I don't want to run Technics turntable I want the Rane MK ll will they run right using USB . Please give me some insight on this matter.
