Just ordered my from Los Angeles, California. Got my lights in 5 days. I've watched this video about 20 times cause I'm not handy. I took my time and got it sorted in about an hour. Wow wow wow, that's all I can say. The car looks great...I love long light strips. It gives an elegant look. Thanks powerfuluk!
Had the issue with the leds been fixed where it appears much bright in one spot on the right hand side? Around 5 led diods are clearly visible and stand out compared to the rest
So 10 lightbars sold almost immediately, how close we are to the "sold out, notify restock" situation? Really happy for you guys, i bought so many items form Powerful and never,ever had a single problem. Only one, to be honest: duty taxes 🤣 they make everything economically challenging. I really don't get Brexit, but i hope it's doing well for our fellows brit brothers. 👊
Brexit is *not* good for the UK. Importing from the EU costs about 4 or 5 times the cost of what it did when we were in the EU and it's much slower. Workers from the EU went home, so the hotel industry don't have enough staff and food rots in the fields. Remember a politician is a proven liar ...
Having had to replace my Evoque rear camera it is worth noting that if the vehicle has a powered tailgate you need to unbolt the control module in order to access one of the four bolts.
It is a small box, approximately 10cm x 8cm x 3cm, held in place by two screws. There is no need to disconnect it, just unscrew and carefully move to one side so you can access the tailgate strip bolt.
Excellent light bar and instructions Simon, well done. How well does the red light colour match the mk1 Evoque round lights as shown in your ‘will fit - won’t fit’ picture in your web page details? Also, is the horizontal bar of light in the original tail lights at the same height as your new funky light bar so that it aligns seamlessly? Just asking before I drop a couple of hundred on a trick light bar 😊
there is an option in IID tool to enable lights on when car is unlocked via the fob like how bmw work, when you unlock the car the DRL and rear lights come on this will go really good with that

Already bought the smoked one! Can't wait for it to be delivered! My best friend bought the "red" version so we're both ready to go! Hope you'll next look into the digital cluster for the Evo 11-18, it's been made for the older sports and ranges but not for the Evo. If the Powerful team can bring its expertise/knowledge,quality assurance and....numbers to it i think it will be a scorcher!
@@L663 i used to check for lightbar availability literally every single day since the vlog where Simon announced it and wrote powerful some emails in the process. Turned out that my friend (the only one who bought the red version until now !) gave me the heads up because today i was on hiking!

@@L663 It requires a special skill as the cost per unit must be substantial so you don’t want 50 sets for a D3 sat still for months! I like 90v.2 though!!! Look after it well 😀😀😀😀
Dear Simon and Powerful team. Is the any way to configure the rear lights to switch on with the front DRL, so your new light bar is illuminated both day and night?
Fitted the smoked one today easy fit 30 minutes no problems very happy looks great wish you would of added the brake light function like on the sport should be an easy conversion with resisters and diodes but you won’t provide any info. Shame
Hi Paul - glad you got the bar fitted with no issues. We wanted to keep the install easy on this bar so left out the brake light. As you say it may be possible to change this but any circuit we add will only dim the lamp - not make it brighter.
Yes I agree dim the running light a couple of watts still bright enough at night then add wattage as a brake light would just like to know some specs on the leds like how many and what amps
I didn't leave a comment at the time of purchase as I hoped the issue I had was a one off but it appears not. I purchased a smoked light bar back in April and once fitted even in bright sunshine it obvious there was an issue with the leds towards the right hand side. When I reported the fault I was told all of the smoked lights were the same. I did manage to get a full refund including the return postage but what I really wanted was a working light bar. If the light was only £30 I could understand the poor quality, but as it was £195 this is not really acceptable. I'm sure trading standards would be interested. I also purchased a set of front mud flaps around the same time and the new screws became rusty within 2 weeks. Not even Land Rover items rust that quickly. Again these were replaced with a better screw that has so far proved durable. Come on Simon, up the game. I'm still routing for you as it is great to have a UK company developing aftermarket parts for the LR brand but this purchase has made me wary of parting with so much cash again.
Fair comments.. we are working to improve the issue with some LED appearing brighter on the lightbar - and as you say we did give you a full refund. Again with the mudflaps we did respond to your concern and are working to improve the quality of our screws. Simon
I have this issue with my smoked light strip. They have offered a refund if I pay for the return of the "faulty" strip. However I do not have the original strip to put back on my car. I am going to America on Thursday until December, so I cannot do anything this week. I would be happy to have a replacement as I like the light. But this one just looks cheap and dodgy. Not a good look at all.

I have to apologise for asking, but where those white Clingon clips on the starboard bow? In all seriousness and putting terrible jokes that do nothing for mirth and only show my age aside, that light bar is a fantastic improvement that really looks very nice indeed. Moreover, it adds function and increases the vehicles visibility in the rare (ahem..) instances of bad weather in the UK!
Hi Lewis - we sold the first batch - we had 2 reports of people who had their lights trip ( left had rear light ) when fitting the bar - so we have made improvements and have these being tested with the customers now ( i cannot replicate the problem on our car with the bar in standard form so it must be vehicle to vehicle sensitivity ) - as soon as the customers confirm the changes resolve the issue we will relaunch with improvements. Timescale should be 1 - 2 weeks.
Shame some of the smoked ones have some unlit segments. Totally ruins the look. Apparently they all present this array. The one in this video does not. Not even willing to send out a replacement just in case it’s just mine that’s faulty( I have seen at least 3 with the same fault) so not just mine.
Hi Nigel - there should be no missing segments but at one area the LEDs are a little brighter so you can see the LED's fractionally brighter and so the overall look is less "diffused" in one area. We have offered you a full refund - we are happy to send you another but all of the light bars have this minor change in brightness ( in the area under the V or ROVER ) We are working with the supplier to further improve the product - you are welcome to swap for a V2 when they arrive.

Smoked , because the light bar comes alive from "nothing" while the red version kinda ruin the effect by remaining visible all the time. If you got smoked rear lights like me the choice is even more obvious.

@@ghazibagazi9687 if you have the original rear lights (non smoked) and you don't have the black pack optional fitted (blackened exterior trims) then the red version is a better fit in my opinion
Sorry about this - on behalf of my countrymen that voted for Brexit. We have a house in France and of course this business and it has had an impact on both of these aspects of our life ( in a bad way )
@powerfuluk Purchased one of these and it had a crack in the black plastic, Powerful reluctantly replaced it with a new one and that had a lighting flaw. when I sent them pics of the flaw, they further BS replied that they are all flawed the same and refused to send me a quality one that works correctly as per the one in Simons video. Simon may come across a nice guy in the videos, but the business ethics of the company and customer service leave a lot to be desired, and is certainly not a company I will do business with again. Absolute Joke.
Hi - we have offered you a refund and tried to support you. What would you like us to do ? Is the light flaw the LEDs being brighter under the V of Range Rover ? We are working on a V2 that will have much more even light distribution - you are welcome to wait to upgrade to this when it comes into stock. We are a reputable business and I will not delete your comment as we run an open and honest business. Just let me know what we need to do to get you back onboard ?
Simon, the one in your video and my first one was fine, so clearly there are ones that work fine, I don’t want a refund, I want one to work properly like the first one did, albeit the plastic was cracked, instead all I get are excuses, aka: being told they are all flawed, when obviously they are not, else my first one would have been flawed to.
