Ran across your channel while searching for some insight on my radio issue. I suddenly don’t have HD reception on FM. This might be a fix. I do have a question though. Have you ever experienced poor reception when using the rear defrost? Alldata has very little information and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s the noise suppressor. Swapped AM (working fine) with FM with no joy. Solder connection to glass is good. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Glad I could help does the reception get worse or better with demist off ? any power source uncontrolled next to a receiver is always a problem and aerials also next to each other arent a good idea either window antennas are never brilliant as far as faradays cage goes science says it should be poor no matter what
@@AlexCarter-AscAudio Thanks for the reply! The poor reception started a couple years ago. When I activate the defrost the reception gets progressively worse, becoming inaudible as the element heats up. I was unaware that the amplifiers are grounded using the mounting tabs. I agree, a completely stupid design. Land Rover, definitely a love/hate relationship 🤣
so basically we need a diagram of the system obviously it acts like a toaster resistance warms the elements removing the moisture , what filters the rf leak is it shielded or controlled , is the earth on the system failing that it then creates a lesser earth resistance for the aerial pack boosters or masts . personally id rather a mast that works that a glass thats sleek and has its faults everytime
