Hello, thank you very much for such informative explanations regarding P38! Could you please update the links to the videos in the description that explain how to create an EAS disable switch?
Hello 'work on p38' I wanted to ask you regarding at part 27.20 can you send me a link to where to buy a screw in shrader valve and the push fit hose connector you use. I can only find a shrader valve costing 27 pounds! its ridiculous. :/
Interesting. If starter does not crank and fuse 40 is blown you try disconnecting EAS compressor, replace fuse and see if starter now cranks. If it does you then replace compressor. By the way, you do not need to pull those fuses to check them. Just touch your meter probes to the exposed contact at each corner.
Thanks for the voltmeter tip. My background is in electronics, but it might be a good tip for other viewers. It's just my personal preference is to pull the fuse to check them as I've seen a few odd cases that can result in failed diagnosis with a voltmeter or circuit checker. I didn't think the EAS and starter motor was using the same circuit so I was a bit surprised myself when I checked the circuit diagrams (or studied the fuse lid a bit more carefully) before I started troubleshooting on the car. Could have saved me a tow home :)
