As a panthers fan I have learned SO MUCH about hockey in the last 3 years. The presidents trophy and regular season mean nothing. We won the presidents trophy and played high scoring flashy hockey, and we tore it all down the very next year because it doesn’t work in the playoffs and it’s the greatest move we’ve ever made.

I watch videos like this and it just reminds me so much of how I felt, especially in 2019 as a Tampa fan. Teams have to face adversity and failure before they can succeed. I think there is a road back for the Rangers, but I think it's going to require some pain and change before it's realized.
I was at the game and let me tell you, as much tension as their can be between fans, I couldn’t help but saying good game to any Rangers fan I saw / found who was respectful and gave them a quick handshake or even a small embrace, congratulating them on a deep run and an amazing goalie. Florida fan here. Quality content. Really like the passion. And I feel vindicated about Tro. Many Panthers' fans bashed as he was headed out the door here. And I felt he wasn't put in a good place to succeed his last little bit of time here. Along with a lot of other young players during that time here.

As a Panthers fan, I've gotten to learn a lot about the Ranger's history as a team throughout this series and I will say, this one had me the most stressed. They were the team I was most afraid of facing in the ECF at the beginning of the playoffs. I'm praying we can get the job done now in the finals. Thanks for a great series 🤝

I still love this team and though they fell short they accomplished SO MUCH THIS YEAR and the future is BRIGHT who’s to say we don’t have start a dynasty after this heartbreaking loss? Heads up boys, this team was the best for a reason this year they didn’t show up tonight but next year they will improve and they will accept nothing less then the cup and replace the bad players (trouba, roslovic)
Great rant, Ryan. I too am disappointed with this outcome. At least with the Knicks, we could make the argument that all of our key players were injured. But the Rangers were at full strength, so no such excuses apply here. Remember the Rangers team that we had been following? The team that won the President's Trophy, and some real nail-biter games during these playoffs? (Games 2 and 3 were great!) Well, that team (apart from Igor) completely disappeared in Game 6. Instead, they just went out there and died. Igor was amazing, but he's just one man. When we needed guys to score key goals? Nothing. Nothing! Or at least not until it no longer mattered. Meanwhile, Florida's players looked like a team of five Barry Allens on the ice (and not just because their uniforms were red). Typical NY sports team finish: they never just *lose* their last game; they always have to get utterly humiliated in the process. Oh, and as for Bobs? (Florida's goalie) He is good, but honestly, the guy was sleeping half the time on account of the puck being in the Rangers' zone for about 3/4s of the series. Heck, *I* could've stood in the net for the Panthers and it would've made no difference.

Panthers fan here for 30 years. You guys didnt lose because of Igor Shesterkin. He is a beast and you need to keep him as long as you can before he thinks he could win someplace else. If Sergei Bobrovsky was to retire, I would make a play for Igor immediately or Boston's goalie Jeremy Swayman, who is only going to get better. See ya guys next year in the playoffs I'm sure. To be honest, if it wasn't for Igor, the series would have been a sweep. The Panthers played better in every game. I'm a lifelong Panthers fan and not once did I feel we were out of it in any game.
Huh? I’m saying if Igor was the goalie for the Canes next year they’d be unstoppable. The Rangers offense is atrocious. The Canes put up more goals on Igor in 6 games than the Panthers did in 6, and I’d venture to say Igor’s play in the Canes series was even better than that in the Panthers series. Said another way, the Canes need a goalie, and then once they do it’s a 2-3 year run of back to back championships. The Rangers stole the Canes spot this year in the ECF and everyone knows it. Canes/Panthers rematch would’ve been exciting. Two best teams in the league right now.

They really fooled us this year. I hope a lot of these guys don't come back, especially our "captain". We need players that show up in the playoffs. This core disappears.
@@RyanCzarYT Different populations, different fan bases, different counties. Panthers are a suburban fanbase (Broward / Palm Beach). Miami Heat are a Miami-Dade fan base.
I'm pretty disappointed and heart broken we went out like that man. What a dissappinting end to an incredible season of winning. But Chris Drury has alot of work to do bro. First things first, that defense needs to grow a pair of balls and play harder and learn how to forecheck and hit with intent and be way more aggressive. Panthers bullied us and played their game the whole series. Secondly get rid of some of these contracts like panarin. What a fraud dude scored 49 goals in season and was up for mvp talks and disappeared in the playoffs no tenacity no determination no drive no confidence only 2 shot attempts in the panthers series wtf is that ? I knew in my gut and in my heart this wasn't sustainable. The way the rangers were playing being out hustled and outshot wasn't gonna last. And it showed. Now I have become unofficially a stars and oilers fan hoping they can grant us and give us our revenge. By defeating the panthers and giving them their second straight Stanley cup defeat. That will certainly heal all the wounds. Go oilers and go dallas !

Lifelong (since they came to NJ) Devils fan here. Not you in particular, but what pisses me off in general is that NYR at the game ACT is if they have 24 Cup wins like Montreal does. They are loud & obnoxious at NJ & at MSG. The last time they won anything was 30 years ago. Think about that for a minute. I'm 52 now, but in my lifetime I got to be at their first cup win when they swept DET 4-0 - awesome. They I got to see them win 2 more cups and what should have been another win against COL where they blew a 2 game lead. But my point is I got to see them 5 times play for the cup and win 3 of them. NYR? Hello? Acting obnoxious is always obnoxious - but if you have to do it, do it when you've the record of wins that MTL has. Don't act cocky when you've got 4 wins under your belt and only 1 win more then NJ has except the NYR were part of the original six. NJ didn't come along until 1982 - NYR had a 56 yr head start of NJ - with only one more cup win - think about that. There's always next season and the NYR will probably lead the division again but who knows? At least your guys can enjoy their summer vaca now for a bit, cheers!
Fun season but it’s tough to see these top players let down the goaltending consistently, they need to be more physical in games like this, they’re always getting outshot
I can share your frustration when Florida lost the Finals last year and even the Rangers squad last year when they had Kane and Tarasenko in their lineup. I saw the Rangers lineup last year and I was like nah this cant be right. Panarin, Zibanejed, Fox, Trouba, Kreider, Trocheck, Mikkola, Kane, Tarasenko, Lafreniere, Gauthier, Lindgren, and Shesterkin. Plus Reaves, Goodrow, and Vesey. I saw that roster and thought to myself "goodness is the NHL making superteams now?" I think people underestimate the Panther's defensive capabilities. They have the best 200 ft forward in the world and 2x Selke winner Barkov. Reinhart, Tkachuk, Lundell, Rodrigues, Lust, Bennett, Stenlund, Lomberghini, Okposo, and Tarasenko are all capable of playing their assignments while looking for mistakes to capitalize on. Don't get me wrong I was surpised out of 15 power plays, the Rangers only capitalized on one and Panarin, Zibanejed, and Kreider had 2-3 goals between the three of them. I'm not sure what the Rangers can do but with the core they have, they have been progressing. 2nd round exit last year and ECF exit this year. Do you keep the core and add some muscle with one more offensive threat since they have been knocking on the door with this roster. If you look at Colorado or VGK they all kept their core and fine tuned it to win the Cup. I feel like the Rangers could do the same.

As a Panthers fan, Shesterkin and the right tools will definitely produce a cup for this team. Before this series started i thought people picking New York to win were insane. The fact that the Rangers won two games behind Shesty standing on his fucking head was remarkable. The panthers are an absolute WAGON.
Tbh i wont rub it in but i have no sympathy for this team at all after what they did to the Habs in 2014. Not even an apology. So yeah im kinda happy with this outcome and i hope that this is karma or whatever you wanna call it for ending our run unfairly and disrespectfully going after a star player. People were actually comparing Kreider to Messier after his hat trick. How much does his hat trick mean now? Diddly squat. You have to win and show up for FOUR ROUNDS, not two. This "core" ain't it. Maybe now we can finally put to rest the 1994 comparisons. That team was my favorite of all time, but I'm sick of it. Kreider is NOT Messier. Fox is NOT Leetch. Laviolette is NOT Keenan. That team was special, this core is NOT.

Listen, Rangers are close. They lost all their game by a goal and Game 1 was 1-0 until the final minutes. The series was very close. There is not reason for the Rangers to blow it up. If they would have been blown out in every game then I'd agree, but Rangers are close. They have made the ECF 5 times in 12 years. With all that being said... Let's Go Panthers!

Everyone went against Barkov this series and guys were successful. Lafreniere, Trocheck, and Goodrow. If some guys are able to get through, your other top guys should get through at some point.
@@user-hv1hv8sw9d Ok but there’s shifts where mika and kreider didn’t go up against barkov and same with panarin. It isn’t only barkov, it’s the whole team that contributed in stopping the rangers top guys.
barkov did nothing on faceoffs the entire series and you heard the announcer EVERY SINGLE GAME, whether the rangers won that game or if florida won that game. Moving on, Barkov did the bare amount this series with only 4 points, he was not a main contributor at all to their success. We lost this series because 1. our star players (mika, panarin, kreider, and u can even say fox) didn’t show up until game 5 which we STILL LOST, 2. we got outcoached… maurice made the better adjustments as the game went on and even when we did they matched us, 3. just like ours, their 4th line stepped up in big moments and got the goals when they were needed most.
Garbage franchise that's only relevant because they play at the garden. One of the original 5 and still only have 1 cup win since 1940. You should be used to failure by now
