With Soul so much, Mega Evolutions are so cool. They’re the hypest thing to happen to Pokemon by far, G-Max forms are alright and Paradox Pokemon are great, but nothing else comes close.

As someone who’s Audino’s biggest hater, mega Audino is a bit more of an improvement lol. Its colors are at least better looking, but I can’t believe Rayquaza didn’t make it to S tier😭. I thought like for sure mega Rayquaza was a guaranteed S tier😂

By the time of generation 5 and 6 I had discovered jazz cabbage and that was my downfall, I remember one day after a good session someone showed me the mega evolutions!! That was pretty crazy

My Takes for what their worth S - Beedrill, Pidgeot, Blaziken. A - Charizard Y, Gardevoir, Aggron, Sceptile, Swampert, Metagross. B - Legendary Pokemon, their fine some F - ALL NONE THIRD STAGE POKEMON, it means they will now never evolve unless they get regional forms. screwing them over for good, well done game freak. I HATE mega's and i hope in the remakes of X and Y they RECON them out and just have these Pokemon evolve. Do it for Stage 2 (3rd Stage) Pokemon, Give them new forms awesome, but don't screw over Pokemon who need to Evolve. It's the WORST battle gimmick, Vmax was better, Tera is better, Z-moves weren't great but with open team sheets i think it could have been fine.

Gigantamax designs are so much better than Megas to me - they had a clear theme and philosophy: bigness, where as these things just get spikes and scary faces. All the Pokemon with Mega and Gigantamax forms look better when Gigantamax’d

Those early Kalos leaks saying there would be a Fairy Gym second and a Fighting Gym fourth... it makes me wonder if they had intended to put a Fairy-type gym around Camphrier Town. The gap between Viola and Grant is large for early game, so maybe that's where Valerie would have been at one point before they moved her to later on.

The similarity between Mega and Digimon has always been there for me. But with that said, new Pokemon forms are cool. The lore behind Mega is awesome. But as a battle gimmick, it wasn't for me. I would love to see the forms brought back with Gigantamax in a Paradox type of form, to keep them around permanently without the battle gimmick. Tie it into the lore somehow.

I'm with Dusty on Zard Y, it's literally just an overdesigned Charizard, more spikes, messier wings, arm wings that do nothing. Though it at least looks cool enough in a vacuum, Mega Venusaur is overdesigned with random pointless shit AND is just plain ugly lol

Mega evolutions were a huge disappointment. First, only select few pokemon got the special treatment, while the rest of them got nothing. Gigantamax at least had a universal alternative in form of Dynamax. Second, mega designs were so much different from regular formes, it was hard to comprehend that those were just temporary transformations. And, finally, it's just so sad they gave us those cool new megas, but we can't have our Charizard, Mewtwo or whatever to look like that permanently. In that sense Gigantamax was a lot better, cos its formes were much closer to the originals, and I doubt anyone wants their pokemon to be big all the time. And I love how Gigantamax fit perfectly in Galarian stadium entertainment culture. Still my favorite gimmick even after broken Terastall.
