Or it's just a shame that you happen to play at times where the annoying themes are being played. I personally detest the 2PM song with the high pitched electrical guitars etc.
Yeah I wish there was a way to change which hour plays which song, or just have it random. 7AM is the song of me waking up playing a little of AC before 8AM kicks in and it's time for me to go to my office and start working from home lol I hear 7AM, 8AM, 12PM and 5 to 10 PM way too much. I love the soundtracks that play after 11 (except for 3 AM, hate that one.) but I actually never ever heard them in game.
I feel that from 12am to 2am the game it's trying to put you to sleep, then at 3am it's laughing at you for being awake and 4am it's like "whatever, keep playing I guess"
I’ve heard all by now...thanks to my non existing sleep schedule (I basically pulled an all nighter playing animal crossing) and I remember just hearing 7am for the first time jamming to it
Honestly 5am is one of my favourites, like, it's just so atmospheric running around as the sky begins to lighten into a really pretty shade of blue-green. Perfect.

Listening to all of them together like this has reminded me how much I miss the New Leaf hourly music... but it's also made me realise how the New Horizons music has successfully got itself its own mood, which though I'm not as fond of (probably going to try and play more at 5am now that I know how that tune sounds) still has its own charm.
I'm deceived because they seem the same in ACNH, no song made me vibrate In ACNL the songs were all different and the night musics would make me feel emotional and weird. I wish each was unique and very different...
Same. ACNH's music is okay, but some tracks I just can't stand, like 7AM. It sounds like some imperial marching band or something! ACWW had my favorite music, ACNL was awesome too. I just wish they let you turn off the music so I could play my own at least....
I like the nf soundtrack but ww just sounds like the exact want copy and paste. Ik nh is like that too but I don't like a lot of nh and ww music. Everytime I see a video of ww all I just hear is the same track
I love acnh's hourly music, really I do, but I would've enjoyed more variety in style between hours to give you more of a sense of time passing. Also 6 pm reminds me of Rito Village
Your comment about seeing a villager eating a doughnut, while talking about the 3am music, has actually made me tolerate the 3am music more...though after the relaxing loveliness of 2am, it usually sends me scurrying off to bed. Also, 5am really is god tier. I woke up early, turned my switch on, and heard it for the first time, on the day that the cherry blossoms first started falling from the sky. It was a moment.
I agree with the mood whiplash that happens when it goes from 2AM to 3AM. I've actually kept playing until 3 just to keep listening to the music, then as soon as 3 hits, I get annoyed enough to shut the game off and go to bed lol
1am sounds like some tired guy trying to make his way back home after an extremely long day, but he can only move so far before needing a break to rest his dry eyes, trying not to sleep on his comically large suitcase in the middle of the road. 2am is the sound that plays as the rest of the cast in a musical is singing about the tired guy's woes as he walks home. 3am sounds like a comedy where the tired guy is trying to sneak a loud drunk elephant around without getting caught so he can go home. 4am is when the tired guy goes home and begins to calm down. hes happy his mission is successful as he changes his clothes and gets into bed, but it has a hint of what's coming tomorrow. 5am, the tired guy is asleep. you should be too. the world is restarted and its a brand new day. there's so much hope in the future
Glory to Arstotzka no lol. The first week of getting the game plays the music. One whole week with 24 hour days is 168 hours. You could play 1 hour for the whole week and the music would then change to normal. He is saying after the first 7 days the music will begin to change hourly
I was so confused thank you so much for explaining the prologue thing. I got the game 4 days ago, and I could never distinguish the music, and now I know why!
I dunno, I feel like the music in this game was an afterthought compared to previous entries in the series. The rain and snow music is just godawful. Wish we had an option to turn off game music so we can play our own. :/

i play at 5am alot and it's the most peaceful time to play. the colour of the sky, all the closed shops and sleeping villagers (apart from some psychos) and the music ties everything in perfectly.
I feel like most of the music is basically the same each hour. I don’t like the new music so I covered my whole town in music boxes with different music for each area. To get rid of the annoying music that you can’t turn off. I loved new leafs music though.
2pm, 3pm and 4pm just remind me of PJ's Animal Crossing twitch livestreams as he usually comes online around that time of the day! I hope it's not only me who thinks that haha
2pm is actually the worst track for me on the entire ACNH soundtrack in my honest opinion. I’m legit getting annoyed listening to it, so I avoid playing at that time for that reason.
2AM's my favourite. It matches my mood whenever it's late and I just want something chill sounding. Anything energetic past midnight just burns me out lol! Definitely an A tier for me.
OMG this list is so opposite to mine, but I'm definitely an early afternoon and late night player. 3 AM can kiss my ass though, so annoying! I have to mute for an hour lmao
2AM is my favourite night time song...its so chilled. When I cant sleep and decide to do some terraforming or late night fishing, its nice and peaceful walking around my island
I was 3 minutes in before I realized his British accent was saying “hourly song” and not “owl-y” I kept thinking wow blathers be making some sick tunes. 😂

i don’t hate the music as a whole but i play around 8/9/10 am and i’ve gotten annoyed by it now unfortunately because of the repetition in the songs themselves
Sometimes I just forget that there's constantly music playing while you're running around, it's so relaxing. But since Wild World was the first animal crossing game I played, the music still feels the best to me. The nostalgia I get hearing that themesong hits differently.
i just absolutely love how you can create a story with an environment that i can imagine myself in, you just complletely set the mood. story telling skills: 100+
5 am is definitely my favorite song. I will miss it when I go back to a day shift schedule. It absolutely feels like a song that is begging you to just go to sleep.
5 AM makes me feel super nostalgic for some reason, it gives me "watching the sun rise" vibes while also making me want to cry. Its a gorgeous tune that somehow makes me feel every emotion possible at once.
Prologue music always reminded me of Bob Marley's "Everything's Gonna Be Alright". 6 pm sounds like a mid-90s alt-rock band's acoustic version of their top ten single. There's also a bit in I believe 7 pm that sounds like something from Nikka Costa's "Like A Feather" to me.
1am and 3am are my absolute favourites. i often play this game at lunchtime so I hear 11am-2pm tracks so much that they have turned into a bit of a blur... but being up late at night stargazing to the 1am/3am tracks is magic
