I mean it's explained in lore that the Narrative Gundam was simply the prototype test platform for what the Nu Gundam became, Narrative was never intended to be finished & used for combat traditionally, so yeah the looks are on purpose.

The poor Ez8 was basically made from scraps from the Ground Gundams and even salvaged scraps from Zeon machines. It makes sense why it looks inferior and just my hypothesis, but maybe it was painted "cream colored" to make it stand out more. It doesn't make sense to paint it that color in a jungle and Shiro basically had one foot in the grave after his court martial. Maybe the Earth Forces were just hoping it would get shot down. It still proves its worth in the fight against Norris and the Apsalus.

I love F91, Unicorn and ZZ but can understand the dislike for them.

Xi is like... someone took Zeorymer or some other kind of overcomplicated mad Super Robots and glued gundam parts on it. And I love GP-02. Physalis is not a protagonist Gundam, but that chonky boy is, well, chonky and menacing.

Personally, I like the look of the AGE-2, as to me the four wings make it look like something designed for speed and agility. Though maybe have it so that the wings retract to be behind the shoulders when the machine is either powered down or not actively engaging in combat, or have the wings shift around mid-flight in such a way that it's meant to make the AGE-2 as nimble and aerodynamic as possible? Or perhaps make the wings function both for added aerodynamics and agility, while perhaps also turning them into weapons that could function like a heat blade that would slice through nearby mobile suits that got too close? Just my take though. Nothing wrong with you having a differing opinion.

I honestly adore Gundam Aerial, it can Fly, and Dance! Surprised you didn't like Nu though, that one seems to be everyone's favorite.

I love all the Barbatos forms. I like it gets more and more wacky at the same time demonic over time and the lupus Rex reuses weapons from a previous fight against a mobile armour called the Hashmal

As a fan of Wing 01 and Freedom/Strike Freedom I don't think we could be friends, lol.

finally, someone who hate Movie design of Xi Gundam i really despise that design because it loses the meaning of Xi Gundam's codenumber, the RX 105. the Novel and Manga design actually capture that and sadly the movie didnt

I think the g-saviour Space Edition has a really neat design

I vibe so hard with the Mk. II. It has everything that is good on the original, and bulks it out. The only thing holding it back is that it isn't as well armoured as the RX-78. I do approve you've ignored Stamen (by proxy of being associated with Dendrobium), but I do wonder what Physalis does for you. For me it is an 'very interesting take'.

Personally i love the Gundam Schwarzette, it’s such a edgy gundam and i love it. It got like a halo on it head and then the demon horn coming out of it forehead, it even got a goat or horse lookin leg and that black running with the somewhat “grayish” white color pallets just give off a fallen angel vibes. It even got a cool ass big sword which can also be use as a gattling gun, a bunch of funnel bits and a katana-like beam saber. And my god do i love that one wing form, it just contribute more to that edgelord vibe. Overall, i just love the Schwarzette edgy, sinister design and i wish the anime could have do the Gundam some justice

i mean i personally hate the Xi so much that it horseshoes back to loving it for what it represents in the universe. It's basically the final evolution of everything wrong with mobile suit design and shows just how badly Anaheim (and by extension, the world) has lost the plot.

Xi gundam is meant as a 5th generation MS with minovsky flight system, kinda mean when you mean its ugly and atleast it close to realism unlike unicorn.

Im not a big fan of the unicorn either, though for me it comes down more to how it's way too strong, like to a stupid level. It more or less makes sense that its really strong, like sure, make a gundam out of psycoframe its gonna conduct newtype fuckery to a level similar to the axis shock at least. But thats kinda the problem, its gimick of being an instrument for ghost and living newtypes to break reality overshadows everything, including the gundams after it. Its actually part of the reason i like the ELS merged 00 Qnt as much as i do, because its a machine thats like the unicorns strangely enough, but feels more like its a representation of an acomplishment, the peace between Humanity and the Els, the fruit of the GN drives and inovators true potential, and it didnt show up at the begining of trailblazer to downplay the scale and importance of everything in 00, but rather, to mark how far we've come. Say what you will about 00 and trailblazer, but thematically, the formation of an accendent mobilesuit god makes more sense as a symbol of the protagonist and humanity's victory in bringing about peace not just with itself but another whole alien species, a mobile suit that exist because of the greater union brought about by understanding. The unicorn is just piggybacking off of a more thematically resonant moment to make something better at killing badguys, both in and out of universe. On a different note, the Turn A is so weird to me, not because it looks weird, but because it to me and everyone else ive ever seen talk about it is one of your less favorite mobile suits, but the more you look at it, and the more you talk about it, the more you like it every time. The effect almost feels anomalous in how consistent and unique it is.

Pretty weird list. You seem to prefer smooth unbroken surfaces but then put the Turn A and Strike in Excellent tier. You seem to prefer humanoid silhouettes but then put the Wing Zero and G-Self Perfect Pack in Excellent tier and the V2AB and God in Great tier. Your list, your rules, your taste, but woof.

Just need to know. There’s a few final hero Gundam that I’m not seeing like OO Qan T and Age FX. I guess you didn’t add Strike freedom cuz technically, Shin was the protagonist of Seed Destiny. Technically cuz they sure replace him with Jesus Yamato real quick 😂

Okay i can dismiss all the critisms about suit designs as just different of opinion... BUT CALLING G-GUNDAM STUPID IS A SIN I CAN NEVER FORGIVE Jokes assids. G Gundam definitely is racist, but in the kinda funny comical way many things of its time were. Heck i see worse racial stereotypes being portrayed completely un-ironically in modern day movies and games, like russian characters almost always being villains, or Australian characters always being comedic relief.

The EZ8 is my favorite Gundam :(

18:08 I'm enjoying the video so far but i feel like i have to defend G Gundam here. It isn't racist. For something to be racist, there needs to be intent behind it but there wasn't in this case. So what if the show had a few stereotypical designs. That does not make them racist. It just makes them recognisable as coming from certain parts of the world. To add that, how would you design a Mexican or Kenyan gundam to best represent their respective countries other than what the show did? Because the Zebra Gundam's design isn't too far off from what an actual maasai warrior wears, and it's not like they don't wear somberos in Mexico.
