That one gave me minor PTSD as a kid I love the story concept and everything But I can never man up to finish the game (Maybe I would if my DS would stop crashing on me)
My ranking: #1 BiS #2 DT #3 SS #4 SS + BM #5 PiT #6 BiS + BjJ #7 PJ Seriously looking forward to the new game from one of my favorite EVER game franchises. Ive played so many now and this still holds up as one of my favorites
I have seen other people making ranking of this and most people say that bowsers inside story is the best out of all the other and it looks like i have a very different opinion after looking at this vid lol 1.Dream Team 2.Bowser Inside story 3.Superstar saga 4.Partners in Time 5.Paper jam
It wouldn't be possible since every Mario and Luigi game uses 2 screens. The exception would be super star saga as that was released for the GBA. Unless you mean that you want a completely new M&L game, in that case, I say absolutely!
Dry bones is S+ tier, the fact they decided to make TWO games with Koopas and lava and it took until the 3rd game of the series to create “dry bones” plus I love his voice clips, especially from Mario party 9 since he had voices in only few games of the whole smb and nsmb series, his design is to die for
You better not do Dream Team dirty! *SPOILERS!* It’s B-tier and he ranked the Superstar Saga and Bowser’s Inside Story remaster with an A and S-rise respectively. I can’t lie, Dream Team is my personal favourite in the series, it’s _so_ good! It’s pretty challenging as well (I still have yet to complete the Battle Ring).
It’s not just a matter of the company going bankrupt. I don’t think it needed any of the DS’s gimmicks (two screens, touch, and mic) but it would be weird to have the second game in a series of 5 be on the Switch while all the others were originally for or remade for the 3DS.
Copies sold: Superstar Saga 2.15M Partners In Time 1.7M Bowser's Inside Story 4.5M Dream Team 2.6M Paper Jam 1.6M Superstar Saga remake 500k Bowser's Inside Story remake 30k
Partners in Time will always be my favorite. It deserved a remake more than Bowser’s Inside Story with the admittedly crippling flaws it had. But I have soft spot for the game, it was one of the first games I ever played, after all! It’s my personal favorite, and nobody will ever change my mind.
Dream Team is my favorite I understand why people don't like it as much as some other entries but I probably wouldn't be into rpgs at all without Dream Team
A little unpopular but here’s my list based from the ones I’ve played. 4. Paper Jam 3. Super star saga 2. Bowsers inside story 1. Partners in time 4 being worse 1 being best
For a reccomendation, you obviously have to do Paper Mario next, but here's my list: Partners in Time Super Star Saga Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey Bowser's Inside Story Dream Team Super Star Saga + Bowser's Minions --GAP-- Paper Jam I'm a zoomer, so I haven't played all the games, but I've watched LPs and gotten the jist of them.
I wish for Alphadream to strike back from the bankrupt state somehow... I swear Mario & Luigi is one of my all time favorite videogame series since the time I started playing my first tittle witch was Paper Jam. Now I've got them all and I feel so gladful of it because I LOVED playing this games from first to last. I've also got some mixed feelings on their pros and conts tho... 🤔
Personally my list goes: 5. Paper jam 4.dream team 3. Partners in time 2. Superstar saga 1. Bowsers inside story Dont get me wrong, I love all these games, there's only a minuscule difference in the amount I like them
I personally think Partners in Time is better than Bowsers inside story, ( mainly because of nostalgia ). But also because getting to specific areas in bowsers insides can be tedious at times. As you have to be somewhere specific as Bowser. I still really love the game tho.
@Shelbi Kusterbeck you should play superstar saga, it would have gotten first for having my favorite bros attacks and characters. I just put BiS above it because you get to play as Bowser
About Paper Jam, I didn’t care much about the story, it felt ok. The activities were fun as well as the mix between normal and paper. The soundtrack it’s awesome too
My Opinion: 1. Superstar Saga 2. Bowser’s Inside Story 3. Partners In Time 4. Dream Team 5. Paper Jam Liked all of them tbh and thx for making vids again I remember watching your entire superstar saga play through a long time ago. Next video can you make a tier list for 3D Mario games, Galaxy 2 is my fav
7 paper jam 6 dream team 5 superstar saga 4 bowsers inside story 3 bowsers inside story + bowser jr journey 2 superstars saga + bowsers minions 1 partners in time
Definitely my S tier is Dream Team, my first and favorite Mario and Luigi game in the series! 1. Dream Team (9.9) S 2. Superstar Saga (9.7) S 3. Paper Jam (8.5) B 4. Bowser's Inside Story (8.3) B 5. Partners In Time (technically not ranked because I have not played it yet) NR=Not Ranked. Before peopeople diss me... it's all good. Feel free to give out your opinions! DT is my favorite mainly because of nostalgia for me, but not only that the battles, music, the love for the Homie Luigi, and even difficulty I absolutely enjoyed! I've always liked the challenge. SS was amazing! I played the remake version, and it was something that I've always wanted! And yet it was right under my nose! BIS was also fun as well! However, something didn't really click for me in that game, maybe it was I played the remake version, but then again I also did with SS, and that's my second favorite one. Don't get me wrong it BIS is still amazing! PJ I have played twice, it was my second M&L game that I played. I feel like if I happen to re-play it, the rating may go down, because of the Paper Toads. PiT I will not have my full say, because I haven't experienced it myself. Nonetheless, I absolutely love all the Mario and Luigi series, I'm sure I will like PiT! It's unfortunate that Alphadream has gone bankrupt, hopefully something good happens in the future!
I agree with this list mostly, SSS and BIS are easily the best, but I think Dream Team comes next, with Partners in Time close behind it, and Paper Jam at the bottom because it was such a wasted potential of a game. Paper Jam is the only one I'm really not a fan of.
@@novustalks7525 In what universe was Paper Jam more awesome than Dream Team? Paper Jam has the most by-the-books scenario ever. Oh no, Bowser took Peach. And another dimension released its inhabitants... and they just make another Bowser kidnap another Peach. Dream Team is full of colorful interesting and NEW characters as well as continuity nods to other M&L games. Paper Jam opts to avoid any and all story/character references to other M&Ls or Paper Mario games and solely focus on "Paper and Non-Paper Typical Mario Scenario"
@@fawfulthegreat64 dream team was unnecessarily long and the characters were annoying more than anything. It’s also ironically by the book as you say since it In the end boils down to bowser wanting to take over the world. Paper jam bros was fun and creative and shorter . Yeah the plot was generic but the merging of two worlds led to some of the best gameplay in the whole series
For my tier list it would go like: S: Superstar Saga, Partners in Time, Bowser's Inside Story, Dream Team and Superstar Saga DX A:Bowser's Inside Story DX B:Paper Jam C: Bowser Jr's Journey D:Bowser's Minions Sorry I had to space this out so much 😅
For me I loved the DS games the most because I have more nostalgia in those. PiT was the first one I played and I loved it because of the funny interactions with the babies. BiS was awesome because I loved playing bowser and that final battle music is godlike.
I may be wrong so by all means correct me if I'm wrong. BUT I believe Nintendo bought Alphadream which means there could potentially be a new game coming out?
3D All Stars was #1 on Amazon for a while, and those were low effort ports. If they just held onto both of these remakes for the Switch, they wouldn't be bankrupt. And the thing is, you can already play the original Bowser's Inside Story on 3DS through its backwards compatibility, so people weren't *desperate* for a remake. I understand Superstar Saga getting one because the 3DS isn't Gameboy Advance compatible. (But the DS/Lite is)
I’ve been watching since 2014, and I feel your channel will really blow up soon with the daily uploads. Nice list, my favorite is Bowser’s Inside Story.
I very much respect your decisions with these placements there were I would pretty much rank them all except dream team in my eyes dream team is the best in my opinion but I also got it when I was a little kid but it is honestly a great game I just wanted you to see my opinion on it but i very much agree on all of the spots you put them at also good night everyone.
Yeah it’s my favorite too, it’s much easier to love when you’re a kid because the tutorials aren’t as dreadful. But it doesn’t matter to me, I absolutely love dream team
5. Mario and Luigi paper jam 4. Mario and Luigi superstar saga 3. Mario and Luigi dream team 2. Mario and Luigi parents in time 1. Mario and Luigi bowser inside story But they are all great
My List 1. Bowser's Inside Story 2. Partners in Time 3. Superstar Saga 4. Dream Team 5. Paper Jam The remakes tie with the originals if anyone was wondering.
In my opinion, it’s the worst, because it’s the game that practically drove Alphadream into the ground. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good game, but killing Alphadream just hurts it too much in my eyes.
Really solid list to be honest, I personally like Dream Team more than Partners in Time but that's just my opinion. I agree with everything else on the list.
Dream Team is My Favorite out of the 4 Of those Games I Played. The only Mario and Luigi Game I Haven't Played yet is the Superstar Saga (I might Get the Remake with Bowser's Minions).
The remake of Bowser's inside story took aways some of the charm interact able title screen and was not needed since you could already play inside story on the D's and 3DS.
For me my list goes 1. Dream Team 2. Superstar Saga 3. Partners In Time 4. Paper Jam 5. Bowser’s Inside Story Remake 6. Superstar Saga Remake I’m pretty sure a lot of people will disagree with me and I’m sorry but I never finished Bowser’s Inside Story on the DS cuz I lost the cartridge.
Mario and luigi on switch using both joycons for mario and Luigi respectively. Motion control bro attacks, a completely new story with midbus at the center stage as the main villain
Ok here are some good things about dream team first the graphics were more clean and controlled more smoothly second of all they took the giant battles even farther with giant Luigi which is really nice third of all this one has the most humor in the dialogs I remember u laughing at most of the dialogue and last and probably least it’s the longest one why I think it’s good is Bc i remember u saying superstar saga and partners in time was so short so they gave u a really long and exciting suspenseful story so yea those are my reasons
They should’ve made Bowser’s Inside Story on switch, that was a huge mistake for them that cost a lot, they definitely could’ve sold a million copies if it was on switch as they could’ve hit a completely new audience
My list would be S (Godly) tier: Superstar saga, Bowser’s inside story A tier: Partner’s in Time, Bowser’s IS remake B tier: SS Remake C tier: Dream Team D(worst) tier: Paper Jam I won’t say all the reason but i will say just one reason of each game just to keep it short, so...Superstar Saga and Bowser’s Inside story is phenomenally good story, Remakes aren’t necessary but its still solid and again great story, Partners in time great story and plot to the main situation, Dream Team isn’t a bad game but its not great either i do like the music and the battle system they added and Paper Jam is ok but i think its bad aswell mainly because its Sticker Star Paper Mario not TYD or Super Paper Mario i do like the Music and the Story is fine and the Boss music is pretty good but its not a game that will wow you
I really love the Mario & Luigi series. Here is my tier-list/Top 5 on it excluding the remakes. 5. Partners In Time - I did enjoy this game, but it felt a bit too gimmicky with the 4 playable characters. It's a good concept, just wasn't executed too well. Some times it felt really boring switching from 4 players to 2 players and Bros. Attacks were just really hard for me. Story-wise, it was fantastic! My favorite parts of it are the E Gadd parts. 4. Superstar Saga - I know some of you might be mad for ranking this too low but my excuse for that is I just haven't played too much of it or watched too much of it to understand the full beauty of the game. But what I have played of it, it was really good. 3. Paper Jam - I feel this one is hated by a lot of people. Understandingly, but I still think it deserves some credit. I know the paper mechanic was awesome but not executed well, for example, excluding Paper Luigi from character players. I still really love the story and the bosses, tell me what you want, but the Koopalings were fun to fight and I LOVED the King Boo fight. 2. Bowsers Inside Story - I know, I know. You must hate me for this but hear me out. I loved this game so much, it was the first one I have ever played. I LOVE moving around with bowser and all the bosses you can fight with him. My favorite was Wiggler. I love the story about it and everything. I don't like Fawful too much as character, just turns me off when I see him and I don't want to play anymore once I do. I still really loved the game though and all the music that came with it. However, there's one thing that tops even this game off. 1. Dream Team - Alright so right off the bat this game is severely underrated, man. I don't see nearly as much people talking about it then I should. But it's understandable. It's like when a really awesome movie like Lion King for example gets a sequel that no one really knows about. Dream Team is like that but much better of a game. I loved all the characters and honestly I think Antasma is a wayyyyy better antagonist than Fawful. I loved the beefy-bros I forgot their name but those guys were amazing. The music track is really, REALLY good in this game and so is the story. I love how there's so many diverse bosses and giant battles, too. The game is really long which is a good thing but that brings me to the one thing I really despise about the game. The. Tutorials. They are WAY too long. The giant battles were so much more fun than Bowser's Inside Story's one's since there are much more and I have much more excitement for one when it comes up in dream team rather than Bowser's Inside Story. My favorite non-giant battle boss has to be Grobot because I love the colour variant in his X form, and Earthwake being my favorite giant boss because of how memorable and fun it was to fight him. I just really loved this game and all the aspects to it (except for the pain-inducing tutorials), I would totally recommend playing this if you haven't. This is a personal list and while Partners In Time may be my least favorite, doesn't mean it is bad. It is REALLLLY good but the other games are just better than it in my opinion. Again, this is a personal list please don't flame me for it in the replies but you may give your opinion on my list if you want! Thanks for reading. And Sully if you are reading this I really love your stuff and I'm really glad you're back making videos. Been a long-time fan of yours ever since the first time you played Paper Mario on here. Thanks for being so awesome! :D
I have only played Mario & Luigi Dream team which was an awesome game. I enjoyed it being longer and challenging. There are others I want to give a try as well.
Sadly I never got to play the remake of "Bowsers Inside-Story" on 3DS, so I can't rank this one. S-Rank: I totally agree with "Superstar Saga" and "Bowsers Inside Story". Those were also my two favourite games of the series and each one was very fun. Superstar Saga gave a new spin to the Mario series and it was very fun to have an RPG-adventure where you can control both Bros. at once, unlike Paper Mario. Bowsers Inside Story gave me the same feeling as Super Star Saga, when I had the oportunity to control also Bowser. A-Rank: I agree with the Remake Superstar Saga. I loved it, but it wasn't as good, as the original game. The controls were changed to much for me. I would also Rank Dream Team Bros. in this section. It was the first game of the Series on 3DS, made Luigi the Star of the game (as I recall it was called by Nintendo the "Year of Luigi" back then) and I loved the Story. B-Rank: This was a tough decision for me. The games here weren't bad at all, but they also weren't such highlights as the above. Lets start with "Partners in Time". It was not a bad game and I played it 2 or 3 times through, but I disliked the story. Alien-shrooms, timetravel, Mario and Luigi partner with their younger selfs and Bowser Jr. is young Bowser. This all was to much for me and it didn't make any sense. OK, the other games of the series aren't less unlogical, but when I recall my feelings playing this game for the first time in comparisson with the other parts, I have to admit, that I didn't like it as much. Finally "Paper Jam Bros.". When I heard the idea and saw the concept I was amazed. Playing the game was also great, but not as great as the games in S- and A-Rank. Also I wasn't sure if I liked Partners in Time more than this part. Partners in Time just didn't make me as happy as the other parts, because I didn't like the concept/story so much, but it still was a great game. Now Paper Jam Bros. had a great idea, which I liked but it lacked in story and gameplay. Yeah ... I didn't like the "paper-crafted fights" or whatever they are called. It was to much for me.
