Ranking EVERY Sonic Racing Game From WORST TO BEST (Top 11 Games) 

Had an blast on transformed after years away from it... Still a good game today.

I genuinely can't pick between the first Sonic Riders, and the first Sonic All Stars Racing games, they're both so good and fluid that I'll absolutely freak out if they ever get ported to modern platforms.

Even if Transformed has a boost race with no power-ups, I still wish the game in general had an option to turn off power-ups like in Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing.

I loved Transformed. It would easily be in my top 5 kart racers of all time.

I love Sonic R. I got the game for my Saturn in October last year and after figuring out the controls, it’s become my favorite racing game and I like to play a few rounds from time to time.

The hoverboard one was so class

Racing Transformed may be the greatest kart racing game of all time. Even the battle mode is awesome!

I had a game gear (though not sonic drift 2) as a kid, it was my first console - and the charm of 8 bit is so rich for me. I agree with your review of the first one, but the second added, in my opinion, more than just characters - the tracks are, I think, varied - the hills of hill top, balloons of balloon panic, the earthquakes in mystic cave … and there is a secret one on one final race which is such a challenge and joy to unlock. So, they are my thoughts! Thanks again for the great video

Sonic R still has the foundation of what a Sonic racing game should be. It's a a shame SEGA pretty much shot down ever remaking this. Sonic R and Sonic Spinball are two games I think need a redo. Sonic Spinball itself could do extremely well put into the right hands.

Sonic & sega all stars racing & zero gravity & sonic rivals 2 are all fantastic games and are very memorable.

All stars, racing transform is my favorite mainly because of the gimmick. I wish that there were more tracks that used the transforming gimmick. I believe there are four tracks that don’t use it.

Good list. Should Play some of these. I remember playing the Sonic Riders for Gamecube and as you mention, not really knowing what the fuck I was doing, lol. I've been playing some of the old sonic Gamecube games as an adult and seeing what I think of them. Should see about getting Riders, but I had rented it at the time so don't own it.

Sonic Riders is one of the best racing games of all time right up there with MK Wii & 8 Deluxe. Would definitely put it above Racing Transformed

I played the first all stars racing game all the time! Too this day I’m mad they didn’t put it on newer consoles (and they took Shadow off his motorcycle)

I'm always confused as to why people always act confused as to why Wreck-It Ralph is in Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed, since it's just a standard tie in because Sonic has a cameo in Raph's movies (well, his singular movie as of the time of game's release). Great video otherwise, though.

I enjoy all the games on this list. The bottom of this is list are severely underrated.

sonic all star racing is better than transformed only bc it didnt feel like it was made in unreal engine, and it also feels kinda empty, but all star racing was the best because it felt like it had so much life to it. Over all I can see where your coming from and agree with most of this list I just think transformed cant compete with the og.

How about a Sega racing game that is Team Racing, Transformed, and All-Stars with All-Star moves in Standard Racing and Team Ultimate in Team Racing without stories.

The racing games are varying opinions. Which is what this franchise is already known for. I have a soft spot for Sonic R. And my legitimate favorite Sonic games are All Star Racing Transformed, and the first All Star Racing.

in my opinion sonic riders should be the main sonic racing spin off series,it fits way better with sonic and is overall better and in my opinion sonic riders is the best sonic racing game and overall one of the best sonic games and one of my favs

Maybe it's just me, but since Sonic is my favorite video game characters of all time, even if I played other Sega games too, I prefer a racing game that involve only Sonic characters. I do think Sega All-Star is very good too with exception to few weird nobody, but the game just felt like it was following Mario Kart trend, so because of that I would prefer Mario Kart since I prefer Mario characters more than some other Sega characters. So I like Team Sonic Racing more than first racing game since the mechanic felt way too similar but I care about Sonic characters more, but I think Transformed was better than Team Sonic cause of the mechanic Transformed had but wasn't in Team Sonic. So Although I care about Sonic characters the most in Sonic Racing game, even I agree it wasn't the best between the 3. But I feel Hoverboard suits Sonic style of being "cool" more than using cars, and I also feel Sonic Riders isn't following a Mario Kart trend too. What I'm trying to say is.... Sonic Riders is my favorite Sonic racing game. It's a shame Gravity wasn't as good as first, while Free Riders was just the worst that they even abandoned the game afterward. But oh well. Lol XD

In my opinion the original sonic and sega all stars racing is better because transformed had a lot of glitches making online play unplayable if your playing against a glitcher or a good player and the flying controls tho some of the best are still down right horrendous and I despise any map that forces me to fly it's still great despite its problems I think the original is a mile better than all of them

All stars racing above Riders and Zero Gravity? I'm not watching this... SASASR is plain af. Riders got unique mechanics, great gameplay, great amazing music, good stages, fun story with cartoony animation and missions for those who want a challenge. Not worth playing? This games got active competitive and modding communities ffs
