Ranking The Best Selling Eyeshadow Palettes Of All Time From Best To Worst l Too Much Mouth 

tbh I think there's something to be said for people who want different things out of their makeup, not everyone wants super pigment and every colour and that's why we have a market of different products to choose from. HOWEVER, some of those palettes (and you know which ones) were straight up racism in an eyeshadow palette. I said what I said.

I remember freaking out over the Lorac Pro palette and now I’m like girl not you letting them hype you into buying a beige colored chalk palette 😂😩.

Jackie Aina’s palette gets used every single time i wear makeup! Always layer Ginger and Credit and go from there lol

Top tier vs bottom tier: *everyone* can use a lighter hand and a fluffier brush to "thin out" a pigmented shadows, but no amount of white base and packing on and tapping it on with your fingers can build up colour when there's no pigment in it to begin with. You can do interview appropriate looks with your Saturday-night-out palette and it doesn't invoke the "make it work" clause if the product was designed to be inclusive from the start.

If I'm completely honest with myself all I really need are the Jackie & Anastasia, Born to run, and the Pat McGrath celestial divinity palettes.

See, I knew you were talking about the Naked heat when you said "the one naked they won’t push". Like the born to run palette, she's not ashy enough for UD to push it. They may deserve some jail time tbh, just because they won’t let go of the corpse of the Naked theme.

The ABH Modern Renaissance palette was the first expensive eyeshadow palette I was ever given and even tho I never touch it I CANNOT let go of it. It just warms my heart when I find it after I wipe off the dust off it lol

I really love this series. First foundations, now eyeshadows. I would love to see you review: concealers, blushes and various types of face powders. You have definitely been working overtime. Because of your advice, I am spending much less on makeup. For example, I have bought several Elf Bite Sized Eyeshadows because of you and I am wearing these really inexpensive eyeshadows more than many of my expensive eyeshadows palettes.

I’m the color of uncooked chicken. 😆 That said, every time I go to Kohl’s I spy the Lorac palettes and think: “I just don’t think that chalky color would even show up on ME.” The colors kind of have a Necco-Waffer quality to them.

Those maybelline palettes are awful. That said, their most recent one, Nudes of New York, she is THAT GIRL. They clearly revamped the formula for that palette and it shows.

i like that you didn't rank name brands palettes like kyle cosmetics, the nikkie tutorials palette or the patrick star palette, you know the j**** s***, because those got sold out because the name rather than the product itself

Girl! Totally agree with you about the Mod Ren. Omg. I hit pan on that palette too bc I really tried. I really, really tried. But all of those light pink/light purple shades just did not .... they just didn’t do it. The grays, the...the shimmers...just...skip the whole palette.

You came out the gate shocking the world as much as you used Take Me Back to Brazil. I knew exactly where you were going to place the elf, Born to Run, and Jackie palettes. That Tartelette in Bloom and Modern Renaissance are still bangers for me.

I pretty much agreed with the rating of all these palettes. But I was sipping my tea when you said that the Lorac palette was “UNCOOKED”! I gagged on my tea! Shanygne you are trying to choke me over here! But it was such a Spot on description of all of the eyeshadow palettes from them, that I wasn’t ready. Lol. The Morphe 35O is meh to me, when I got it I was disappointed. It was hyped so much and didn’t reach my expectations. The Pat McGrath Bronze Seduction palette, I agree, it’s Cute. I Love the idea of this palette, it was my first eyeshadow palette from the brand. Love the packaging. ABH is a brand that I was buying every eyeshadow palette released for a while, but then noticed they all look alike. The Jackie Aina palette brought me back to ABH. And my Jackie Aina palette looks like my old palettes looked, when I didn’t have many, it’s well used! I enjoyed this. I recently stocked up on the colourpop BFF4 lip liners, and discovered a brown lip liner from Morphe named Trendsetter. Would love a lip liners rating.

My current favourite palettes are Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde palette, Too Faced Chocolate Gold Palette, Elf bite sized palettes, Nyx ultimate edit palettes, ABH Amrezy.

3:32 I FELT that one haha! I say as I give my mini lorac pro eye pallet the fierce side-eye. I thought it would be the perfect on-the-go eye pallete but it took so much work just to make it look GOOD on my eye for the workweek. I concluded that it was not made for BIPOC in mind cause the ashy-ness is real with that one. Maybe Huda beauty mini pallete would have been a better choice?

I agree about that Jackie Aina palette. I use it all the time. Elf has quality products. I use the glitter green liquid eyeshadow all the time. I get so may complements.

I only own 3 out of all of them. Nyx was my first because I was just getting into makeup after YEARS of not wearing & then that Brazil one and then Jackie’s palette

Naked 3 is an ashy mess... Buuut there are 2 shades (mugshot and liar) that not only are perfect for me but introduced me to cool toned neutrals. They're the 2nd and 3rd to last shades. I would buy them as singles I love them so much. If not for them I'd declutter the palette

We don’t have the same skin tone but I’ve lusted after so many of these for so long so honestly it’s kinda a relief to hear I missed the train if so many of them are overrated 😅 (I wanted the modern Renaissance so bad tho)... I have a Huda obsession palette tho as but I think it’s in a shade that’s discontinued bc I got it as a gift & I never see it anywhere. The quality is just alright tbh. Those little elf palettes are 🔥 tho!

I'm totally with you on Urban Decay. I'm 38 and have worn their stuff since college whenever I had some spare money. Their eyeshadow quality to me was one of the best with color and texture. Then years later when they did the Naked palettes, it totally changed and felt chalky and cheap however their non Naked palettes are night and day. Born to Run like you mentioned, is the best palette to me that they have done in years. If someone only has 1 eyeshadow palette, the Born to Run palette to me is the best palette to get for quality and for the color range. The Too Faced Chocolate palette I am mixed on. I love most of the colors however there are some chalky ones in there that seem like Dollar Tree eyeshadows. With the colors not looking on you like how they look in the pan, I think it's just a warm tone vs neutral vs cool tone thing. Tarte's products to me are very hit or miss with mainly misses. Their Tarlette eyeshadow palettes are similar to Too Faced for me. Most colors are usable and high quality but then there are some that are like chalk. I could see why people declutter it and why people consider it a HG. At more conservative work environments, their palettes are just good, play it safe colors that you can wear without it being too much. If you feel comfortable wearing more fun, vibrant colors then probably no point keeping them since they are largely neutral shades.

I clicked on this video so fast Well I clicked on it an hour after you posted, watched it 3/4 of the way and then did some homework and talked to my sister and then watched the rest :) I have never tried any Anastasia palettes but I agree that the best one is the Jackie Aina palette and then secondly Prism. I have heard very often and consistently that the Jackie Aina palette has elevated quality.

Another “you can’t sit with us” is Smashbox Ablaze because it’s a cheaper Modern Renaissance and all the shades easily work for me. ABH Sultry is a good “she’s cute” as it’s my only cool toned palette that isn’t ashy.

You are so on point with this video. I had some of those pallets and decluttered all except for Born to Run. I had the Jackie Aina, but my sister begged me for it, so I have it to her, but will probably buy again. Personally, I'm over eyeshadow pallets as a whole. ,I've gone back to MAC and buy singles and have made my pallet, colors I know I will wear. When MAC has their 20% sale, I jump on the singles.

I had so many problems with the Urban Decay ones. I never got any because when I tried swatching them in stores, they would barely show up on my skin. They’d look chalky and dull. I am the color of paper.

I would put the mothership V in the you can’t sit with us category and the rest of the mothership palettes in she’s cute category but I agree with the rest of what you said.

Im surprised that Huda Beauty’s palettes are ranked high! I tried the desert dusk palette and the quality was so bad and the pigment was not there. But I also got the amethyst obsession palette and it’s really good! So I’ve just been iffy about trusting her palettes especially for the price, even though they look beautiful
