The Gator Grip should be made into a trophy and awarded for the biggest fuck-up in the shop. This could be passed around/awarded as needed in a continual process.

As a car guy, please don't buy me car guy stuff. The stuff worth having is expensive and I wouldn't feel comfortable with getting it as a gift. The rest is garbage I feel obligated to keep.

When I got myself my first car, few months later, Christmas rolls around. Our Christmases usually range around 50 to 80 bucks a person for gifts. My brother comes out with a heavy box and what I get set me basically for life in terms of essentials. A tool bag full of wrenches, sockets, zip ties, screw drivers, metal mag dish, little flashlight, extensions, and of course a ratchet. He left the receipt in there totaling to around 300 something dollars. I have never NOT needed it for my vehicle ventures. Best God damn Christmas present I've ever had.

The gator grip should absolutely just be the world’s most expensive and heaviest cup holder. It can “mold” to all sizes and shapes of cup.

That little wooden army jeep is sweet. I have one that was gifted to me a few years ago. The suspension even works! I was impressed with how well the kit went together. It was cut with great precision

Fun video, though I'm used to different White Elephant rules, which I think make it more interesting. After the first person picks and opens a gift, the next person decides if they want to pick a new present or steal. If they steal, the person who got stolen from picks a new present. When the last person has gone, the first person has a chance to steal and that's the only time it's a "trade". There's also usually a rule about how many times a present can be stolen before it's "safe" (otherwise, whoever goes first is guaranteed to get the "best" gift).

It's a boring answer, but we use those giant GatorGrip at work. Municipal water valves that are below ground to isolate a street got a 2" square actuator. When the square gets rounded off, that GatorGrip installed at the end of a 8 feet bar can sometimes save an expensive repair.

The air fryer line had me dying, that was some dracula flow type bars

Not how I've done white elephant. Usually person number 2 gets to choose if they want to steal the gift from person 1 or pick from the pile, not knowing what they're going to open. If they choose to steal from person 1, then have that gift stolen, they don't have a choice but to pick from the pile. One advantage of going first is if you don't like the first gift that you pick you get to pawn it off onto somebody else. After all the gifts are gone from the pile, the person who got stuck with the first gift forced upon them by person 1, gets to "trade" with anyone they want. They get the pick of the litter.

It's probably my favourite and consistent creators for the year.. Bravo Donut.

the way I always played white elephant was the you either steal first or open a new one that way there's a risk. opening and then having the option to trade makes it low risk for the person

In white elephant, you don't get to decide to keep or steal after opening the gift. You make your decision to either steal an opened gift or get a new one. They even explained the rules before the game started and still did it wrong.

My mom wasnt sure what to get me for a gift so she just fot me a car wash kit. Thats always a safe bet along with gas station gift cards in my opinion

I've raced at my local circle track since I was 12, and over the years my parents have gotten me fire-proof racing shoes, a new fire-proof suit, and other things needed for racing, and those have always been great gifts to recieve

BAC tester is helpful if you are like myself and messed up and now have and interlock installed. I have one and never used the app but essentially it will notify you when you when you should be sober based on the average metabolism rate. It's a good product if you want to stay safe.

Some great recs i have btw, for anyone interested in getting that car guy or gal in your circle something this Christmas. one of the 10mm socket packs from harbor freight, we lose those alot. Spark plug sockets, super useful, opens up the avenue to do a side hustle working on other peoples cars. tool boxes (empty). a nice tool box is so amazing i cant even explain it. the level of organization it brings makes finding tools way easier. gloves, most of us just forgo the cost, but if someone bought us a decent pair of mechanics gloves we and our hands would be very grateful. A creeper, not all of garage mechanics, many in fact, dont own a creeper (not the thing from minecraft), it makes getting under your car and moving around to get to the right part way less exhausting (this gift is cool because they will use it every time they get under their car, and they will remember who got it for them and when for quite some time). If you know the color of their interior, and can get a nice pair of floor and trunk mats that match, those are usually a pretty nice gesture as well, be careful tho, most car people are picky about their interiors. For something very out of left field but something that any car guy who has a decent computer, a decent racing sim wheel and pedal set if he does not already have one. For an enthusiast its such a great way to relax with a drink. pick your favorite car, and pick your favorite lines, or just go and explore and push it to its limits, all in the safety of your bedroom. and please, for the love of all that is high and mighty, please, no more gator grips or "Universal" anything's. If ur confused, its last minute, and you dont know what to do, cash or a gift card is always a universal gesture of "i care but i dont want to screw this up and get you the wrong thing."

As a car person who is also subbed to Cinema Therapy and has done therapy before its great to see you guys promoting Mental Health.

The Gator grip should be used on some industrial equipment or maybe a semi that has hardware large enough to actually put this thing to the test all the way to the point of failure. It should also be used on an actual Nasar one lug wheel and see if it holds up to their official impact gun, from your past video! One more idea is to use it on some large square nuts like those I've seen used on electric poles made of wood. Do all 3 until failure happens and you have a pretty entertaining video IMHO.
